  1. I'm sure some of our top members are researching this now.
  2. Customs Officer should have asked for the I-94. You'll have to eat this. It's your fault as you should have gotten it before the plane landed. How many times have you flown international? Duh.....
  3. These stories make me feel lucky that I was indroduced to my wife through her ABC family here in Ca.
  4. Here's something else I found: http://www.travisas.com/main/visa_instruct...en=CN&Go=Go One question: How will the PRC Customs react when she visits China and they see a the ROC visa?
  5. You should have no problem finding a good meal in GZ.
  6. I'm sure you can find it in one of the Pei Mei cookbooks.
  7. Since we're on the subject of underwear: "New underwear must be washed before wearing because somebody may have wore them."
  8. I had shingles once with a small rash on my right side. She said if the rash went completly around my body, I would die.
  9. When we went for Biometrics in Oakland, I got the impression it was more of a walk in process rather than a fixed appointment. They didn't look anything up on the system when we checked in. They just stamped the letter and gave us a waiting number. I would suggest you go a day or two before your appointment.
  10. Hey we have a grocery bag collection too. She uses them to seal the new stuff we buy that gets stored away somewhere. "We save for later".
  11. Actually, mine gave up on that. I just turn up the heat and that costs money, so she only opens the windows when I'm gone. Ya, to let your smell out . When you back, you sweat and smell again and turn on the heat to steam your sweat and smell Now Eunice, it's not nice to call someone skunky. Something tells me Eunice has 001 open in another browser and is multi tasking.
  12. Hmm ... that's interesting, we have a new I-94 registered last week as we reentered the US using Advance Parole. I assume your 90 day issue was after a K1 entry. Yes; K1. Rather than go through the frustration and press the issue we elected to wait until the AOS is complete. We do have a print out of her SSN and she has her EAD. Taxes were not a problem as I filed jointly. We also had a simular issue with the Ca DMV as they would not issue her an ID because she had less than 30 days left on the I-94. That was something not mentioned on the requirements. She has her "COSTCO ID" so she is happy.
  13. Last time we went to SSA to get a card ordered; the Rep was putting our request in the system. The request was blocked by DHS because the 90 days had been exceeded on her entry card. She turned the monitor to show me. We have to wait for the GC.
  14. My wife had no problem there; she even said the staff members were very nice, helpful and friendly. All of the English forms were done by me and printed on the laser printers at my office. Maybe they were nice to her because she is from GZ and speaks Cantonese.
  15. Sometimes we're doing things the Chinese way and sometimes the American. It's about training. Enjoy it.
  16. I had my wife go to the SF site (in Chinese) and she said at the first of the year the consulate will no longer be extending passports but will issue new ones instead.
  17. Relax, have fun and enjoy some great food.
  18. Found something else to work with. http://www.yesstyle.com/Help/Section.aspx?...tionId=737&
  19. The instructions say "copies". Remember; they loose stuff and they know it. Bring originals to interview.
  20. Shoes: http://www.asknumbers.com/ShoeSizeWomenConversion.aspx Here's a chart from LL Bean: Click on 'find your fit' and the "View in Centimeters" in the pop up. http://www.llbean.com/shop/guidePages/wome...PrfmcsSEOGoogle My wife buys kids sizes.
  21. Page translates to: Thanks......That answers a few questions.
  22. This is what I think is the page for the Chinese Passport. Also I believe SC is serviced by the DC office. Can anybody read Chinese? http://www.china-embassy.org/chn/hzqz/hzlxz/t84200.htm Ê×Ò³ > »¤ÕÕ¡¢Ç©Ö¤¡¢¹«Ö¤ÈÏÖ¤ > Öйú»¤ÕÕ¡¢ÂÃÐÐÖ¤ Òò˽»¤ÕÕÒÅʧ²¹·¢ 2006Äê06ÔÂ09ÈÕÐÞ¶© ¸ù¾Ý¡¶ÖлªÈËÃñ¹²ºÍ¹ú¹ú¼®·¨¡·£¬¶¨¾Ó¹úÍâµÄÖйú¹«Ãñ£¬×ÔÔ¸¼ÓÈë»òÈ¡µÃÍâ¹ú¹ú¼®µÄ£¬¼´×Ô¶¯É¥Ê§Öйú¹ú¼®£¬²»ÄÜÔÙÉêÇëÖйú»¤ÕÕ¡£ Ò»¡¢ ÇëÌṩ£º 1¡¢¡¶ÖлªÈËÃñ¹²ºÍ¹ú»¤ÕÕ/ÂÃÐÐÖ¤/º£Ô±Ö¤/»Ø¹úÖ¤Ã÷ÉêÇë±í¡·Ò»·Ý¡£ 2¡¢Ð¡2´ç£¨48mm X 33mm£©²ÊÉ«ÏàƬ3ÕÅ£¬Í·²¿¿í¶ÈΪ21mm¡«24mm¡¢³¤¶ÈΪ28mm¡«33mm, ÏàƬ±³¾°ÑÕɫΪ°×É«»òµÀ¶É«£» 3¡¢ÒÅʧ»ò±»µÁ»¤ÕÕ¸´Ó¡¼þ£¨Èç¹ûÓУ©£¬°üÀ¨´øÕÕƬ×ÊÁÏÒ³¡¢Ôø°ìÀí¹ý¼Ó×¢ÑÓÆÚÒ³¡¢À´ÃÀÇ©Ö¤Ò³£» 4¡¢ÔÚÃÀ¾ÓÁôÖ¤Ã÷Ô¼þ¼°¸´Ó¡¼þ£¨ÈçÃÀ¹ú¡°ÂÌ¿¨¡±¡¢I20±íµÈ£©£» 5¡¢ÒÅʧ»ò±»µÁ»¤ÕÕÊéÃæÉùÃ÷¡£ÄÚÈÝ°üÀ¨£ºÂÃÃÀÇ°ºó¾Àú£¬ÒÅʧ»ò±»µÁ»¤Õյص㡢¾¹ý£¬»¤ÕÕºÅÂë¡¢·¢ÕÕʱ¼ä¡¢Ç©·¢µØµã£¬±¾ÈËסַ¼°ÁªÏµµç»°µÈ£» ¶þ¡¢°ìÖ¤·½Ê½ ±¾È˱ØÐëÇ××Ôµ½Ê¹Áì¹Ý°ìÀí¡£²»¿ÉÒÔÓʼİìÀí»òίÍÐËûÈË´ú°ì¡£µ«´óʹ¹Ý¿ÉÌṩ»ØÓÊ·þÎñ£¬Ïê¼ûÓʼÄÉêÇëÐëÖª¡£ ÎÞÐèÌáÇ°Ô¤Ô¼¡£ Èý¡¢°ì֤ʱ¼äºÍ·ÑÓà 1¡¢°ìÀíʱ¼äÔ¼Ðè14ÖÁ30Ì죬»ò¸ü³¤Ê±¼ä£¬105ÃÀÔª¡£ 2¡¢½ÓÊÜVISA¡¢MasterCard¡¢ÏÖ½ð֧Ʊ£¨ Money Order¡¢Cashier¡¯s check £©¡¢¹«Ë¾Ö§Æ±¡¢ÏÖ½ð¡£Ö§Æ±Ì§Í·Çëд£ºChinese Embassy¡£ ¡¾ÍƼö¸øÅóÓÑ¡¿ ¡¾´òÓ¡ÎÄÕ¡¿ Ïà¹ØÐÂÎÅ£º ¸½¼þ£º Tel:(202) 328-2500 Email: chinaembassy_us@fmprc.gov.cn
