  1. Looks like a PR stunt getting out of hand. We have I131s pending for the sisters. When the "Fake News" comment was directed at the CIA, I voiced my concerns to my State's senators and my Rep. I advised them that I would support any "action" (removal from office) that they may need to take to ensure the security of the nation.
  2. Foot Spray / Powder Can't find it over there so I have to bring extra for the nephew to keep his sneakers fresh.
  3. Have they checked with a tour group in China? Had a friend come through on a tour and we met him at his hotel while in our area. He gave us a bunch of stuff from the folks back home and we gave him a bunch of stuff to take back.
  4. LINE can also be a good option. https://line.me/en/
  5. Keep in mind you will have an AOS interview and your wife will be asked questions while under oath only she can answer.
  6. We had the same problem; not everybody knows how to enforce this policy under the patriot Act. I bank with CitiBank and tried to add my wife to my account. (Had ssn, name on bills, aos notice of action, etc.) The first lady (white) turned us down. Went back again and talked to an Indian lady (immigrant)and had no problem.
  7. I know this is a dumb question but USCIS bans cameras and cell phones at the offices. The oath ceremony is at the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium so I was wondering if they may have the ban there. thanks

  9. Hello I'm trying to get things together to invite my wifes friend to the USA. Could you give me a copy or some ideas where I can see a letter of invitation. Thanks Steve usxiamen@yahoo.com Dear Nancy: (Yu Lan) I am inviting you to visit Faye (Hui Hui) and myself at our home in xxxxx, California. It will be a nice gift for Faye’s birthday to have her friend of forty years come for a visit. It’s amazing how you two have been best friends since grammar school. Since you’ve opened your house to us on our visits to Guangzhou so many times, it is time we open our house to you. I know you have a business to run but I have a nice desk top PC and an extra laptop you can use; all have the Chinese language pack installed. It would be nice to bring your son xxxxxx along but I know he has obligations at school. I am sure Faye’s mother, Gui Xiang, told you about her visit and the fun she had last month and the trip we took to Las Vegas. I hope you can travel with her as Hong Kong is a big airport and she needs help to make the connection to San Francisco. We will go to San Francisco to Faye’s aunt’s house as you haven’t seen her since her last visit and do some sightseeing. Also we will visit Bay Bridge, Golden Gate Bridge, Chinatown, Fishman’s Wharf, Downtown, De Young Museum and Golden Gate Park. We will also take a trip to Angel’s Island and Alcatraz Island. I think you will like Lake Tahoe and Yosemite but we will definitely visit Las Vegas. I’ll let you and Faye make the final plans. While you are here I will be responsible for all of you expenses. Get ready for some fun. Your Friend: Pete & Faye --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- American Consulate General No. 1 Shamian Street South Guangzhou, China 510133 Subject: Issuance of Visitor’s Visa to our long time family friend. Additionally, Yu Lan is a business owner; she will have full internet and voice access from our home to stay in touch with her office manager (my sister in law). During her stay here we will bear all financial responsibilities including her medical insurance while here, and all travel expenses. 11. I would disagree I beleive Liquors, such as rum are made with sugars, but the yeast ferments the sugar and changes it to alcholol...it doesn't have carbs(sugar), but does have calories. Try Bud 55. It's around 2% alc. Drinking and driving is no problem.
  12. I'm Type II. Go easy on the rice and noodles. One thing I do is drink guava leaf tea from china. Maybe I'll take a photo and you can order it. I had to go in for a test one day and I was at 135. After about 20 minutes of having a cup I was down to 92. The wife brought home a year's supply on her last visit. On a side note, when I was first being treated the dr doubled my dose of metphormin and I had the runs for two weeks. I thought it was from bad sushi.
  13. Also; forgot to mention the VO asked about the relationship between the two extended families. Maybe she got lucky and got a VO that knows something about China.
  14. My wife's best friend passed her interview yesterday; third try. The VO did not look at any of the documents we submitted (invitation letter, I-134 ect). Our friend did submit a list of nine reasons (in Chinese)why she would return. Also the focus seemed to be on her property ownership and the ownership of her two business'. Wife is happy.
  15. I thought the Rosedale was nice. Good Rates and you can catch the bus to and from HKG on site. It's in the Haizhu District, close to the metro with a 7/11 (beer) and MacD's next door and a KFC across the street. Also it's three blocks from my mother in law.
  16. Don't you just love the way Chinese women gang up on you? Good luck.
  17. My wife's best friend is going to her third interview in GZ for a visitor's visa. She is financially well off and owns two business, a condo and a house. Also she has a 16 year old son who will not be going with her on the trip. In addition to the sponsorship, I (wife wrote the last ones) wrote a well defined letter outlining the long term family relationship and the fact she will be traveling with my mother in law (has B2) and will return to China. Anybody think she has a chance this time?
  18. I'm sure you have received some good advice already. I would convince you mother in law not to use a service and create your own packet since you have concerns about you private data. I just did a B2 for my mother in law and she was turned down on her first try because I did not submit an I-134, thinking a visitors visa was no big deal. After doing some research on her rejection code I came to the conclusion that DOS views all visa applications as immigrant visas and the applicant has to prove otherwise (just my opinion). In my opinion the I-134 and an invitation letter is a must and your finance/proof of assets (as second). Your mother in law should provide proof of relationship and the fact she will return to China (assets, ties ect). For my mother in law, the VO only looked at the invitation letter and the I-134 when they approved her the second time. Hope this helps.
  19. My mother In Law had a great visit last month and has returned to China. Her visa is for 1 year and for multiple entries. And now the dumb question. Can she return for another visit this summer on the same visa? thanks
  20. What a great idea! Why don't we do that? Ima stoopid. Well we do have to consider that not all of us have acccess to Asian markets. We went to Vegas two weeks ago and my wife just had to check out the 99 Ranch Market there, along with the Walmart Super store.
  21. These guys supply to comercial growers http://www.tainongseeds.com/ Try this one. http://www.evergreenseeds.com/index.html Another one. http://www.agrohaitai.com/onlinecatelogue.htm
  22. I understand your frustrations. If you have the time and the money why not schedule another visit to China? Have fun while you wait.
  23. Mission complete. My mother in law returned to GZ after a 30 day visit. She flew with my wife on the way over but was on her own for the trip home. We arrainge for her to have assistance at HKG since she only had an hour to make a connection; went well as she and her bags made it to CAN. On piece of advice. I defered a few home projects until her visit, completing them while she was here. That way she could tell my wife what a hard working husband I am.
