yea... Actually "Wong" is the Taiwanese or Hongkongnese spelling of the word "king" in Chinese. "Wang" is the mainland China spelling for the same word. I'm a Wang. =) I just look in the SF phone book at Wongs. Must make the FBI crazy.

Charlie is a fictional Chinese guy played by a white guy. Full of stereotypes. Earl Derr Biggers actually created the character based in part on an actual Hawaiian policeman.
