  1. Matt, Just to let you know our Bio is on Feb 2nd. We are K1 and K2 so we will let you know how long our case takes. We are in Denver , Colorado
  2. I received all the other paperwork today with all the correct addresses. K1 -application for employment.....K1 and K2 applicaation to Register permanent residence and there biometrics appointment. I really hate to slow things down but think I will still submit address change on the K2 application for employment. Thanks for the help.
  3. I made an address mistake on I-765 for the K2 visa holder. We received the I-797C Notice of Action in the mail on Saturday. Instead of 17060 I put in 10760 on the form. I checked all other forms they are correct. Do I really need to worry about this? Do I need to file a change of address online? At least it was delivered to the correct place. I thank the post office for that. I also rechecked the K1 visa holders paperwork and the address is correct so I am not too worried. Thanks for the help.
  4. Well I went down to the Main Office for the Credit Union. They gave me the same answers. Need a state ID or drivers license. So I looked up the requirements here in Colorado for a State ID. We have everything but the I-94 has expired so I don't think we will be able to get a state ID. Guess I will be calling different banks to see if we can't get a Joint checking account. Thanks for the help everyone.
  5. Dave, I question this. When ChunMei and I had our AOS interview the interviewer specifically asked to see a bank statement, then photocopied our ATM cards on the account. He actually said, "I need to see proof that you are actually comingling your assets." Hmmmmm.....well I guess I will go down to their main office and find out what I need to do. Your in Highlands Ranch yes Nick? We are in Aurora. I don't really want to bank somewhere else but if I have to I guess I will try another bank.
  6. My mistake Dan. thanks again! We had the Chinese passport, birth certificate and SS card. The poor woman that was helping us was trying to figure out some way for us to get a joint account. I told her not a big deal. I will go to the main office which is not far away and talk with them. I have done so much research on everything I get confused sometimes on what exactly we need. I thought I had to have co-mingling of funds set up for AOS. Tired head. Thanks again!!!
  7. We tried today to go get a joint checking account today at my Credit Union. I have banked there for 20 years. They are telling us without a drivers license or US passport we cannot get a joint account. We have her SS# How are we suppose to show AOS that we are co-mingling funds? I have not added her to the Internet or Electric bill yet. Paperwork is done for AOS, we got the passport photos today so I will be sending in on Monday. This is for K1 visa. thanks
  8. Thanks Dan for the clarification. The daughter is already enrolled in school so no problem there. The I-94 on the passport is dated October 2oth. We will be married by then. I just didn't know if we were a bit late in applying AOS if there would be a problem. Thanks again
  9. Okay I am seriously confused. QingHong went down today to Social Security office to get and her daughters SS number. QingHong had no problem. Apparently we need form I-765 for her daughter who is 9 years old to get her SS number? The SS office gave her a letter with where the local USCIS office is and at the bottom of the letter they wrote " K2 child of K1 alien must have DHS Employment Authorization I-766." I know the 766 is an error. It is 765. I looked it up on VJ. So I get the example form from VJ. On question 16 it asks for " Go to part 2 of the instructions, Eligibilty instructions categories, in the space below, place the letter and number of the category you selected from the instructions" I cannot find the instructions!!! Went to USCIS website to look at the form and cannot find page 2. We are not married yet. That is going to happen September 24. Did we try to get the daughters ss number too quickly? Help is appreciated. Now the next question. We are going to be married the weekend of September 24th. The Visa expires October 11th. What if we do not get the certified copy before then? We want to file AOS asap. Already have all the documents printed out and filled. DO we have enough time? Thanks gang.........you have been very helpful in the process!
  10. I wondered how you were adjusting! Glad to hear things are going well. QingHong and her daughter 9 years old, will be here in Denver in 4 weeks from Friday. We are looking forward to the new experiences.
  11. I have to agree on everything David has said. I know my fiancee last week was drilled by the VO as to why we didn't marry in China.2 years and why is he applying now. We first met on my first trip to China by purely accident. 2 years ago. SHe was a friend of a guide I hired. We exchanged email addresses and continued talking on a regular basis. I have since been to China 4 times to be with her. Now they are questioning as to why we did 't marry much sooner. I was taking advice of people on here to make sure I have many trips when we decided to marry. We know Fujian province was a bit of a red flag. We are blue right now but hopefully in the next couple of weeks everything will be ok. She didn't bring the Divorce agreement from her ex as to who has custody and everything. One document. We will see
  12. Yeah, she had the white book. She did not take it with her, she left it in the hotel. She posted it to the embassy 2 hours after her interview. She wanted to hire the lawyer so she did not have to go back to Guangzhou. I told her it wasn't necessary. So it is possible after she gets the call in letter to send to someone in GZ and have them turn in their passports? That would be great because she does not want to travel back there. How long does it usually take after they receive the documents they need before the call in letter? I am trying to arrange schooling for her daughter and don't want to cut it too close. We were hoping for them to be here by the end of July. Thanks again
  13. I just got off the phone with her. She got blue slip because she did not have the one document that said her daughter could come here to the US. She is wanting to hire a lawyer that was outside the consulate for 400 dollars to provide the one document. I keep telling her that we do not need to. Does she have to be there with passports to get her visa? Can she not send it in with the document to get the visa? What now? We are K1....her daughter is with the visa. so K2 thanks again gang!
  14. thanks guys...but she contacted them and did not like their attitude and charges to help her. They were charging for P4 help and interview training. and it was not a small amount of money. She refuses to contact them. Thanks for the help gang...trying a few other options
  15. the thing is I am not there....10 days to arrange travel and couldn't get it done
