2. I've been "In que" for an interview date since 7/1. http://www.billszone.com/fanzone/images/smilies/rant.gif My wife was sending e-mail every other week asking for status, they basically came across to her like it was her fault for the delay because she sent them e-mail. I told her to stop because DOS will be able to tell us when our interview date is before GZ will. The folks at DOS have always seemed nice to me. Don't expect GZ to be accoutable for anything. They aren't and don't care to be. Hiding behind there no names.
3. My wife knows that when I ask her to pull my finger, I'll cut the cheese.
4. Smog? You want Smog...? Oh they have that too. Check these... Note the resolution. It's like Dan and the Blue thingies. Ahhh... Blue thingies. http://visibleearth.nasa.gov/search.php?ps...=0&m=all&wm=wrd http://visibleearth.nasa.gov/images/6516/index_thumb.png More satellite pix of China from space. http://visibleearth.nasa.gov/view_set.php?categoryID=2109 In this pic you can clearly see Taiwan and Hianan, even GZ. (Is that a VO burning my paperwork outside the back door? I think I see my name on the paperwork.) - This pic is 5M. From 250mi. above earth. http://visibleearth.nasa.gov/images/2361/C...7.0310.250m.jpg http://visibleearth.nasa.gov/images/2361/index_thumb.png Here's the google earth link again. Try finding your house, then do a search for GZ and let it take you there. fasten your seat belt. http://earth.google.com/
5. ...as long as she learns her roll quickly, everything will be just fine. Good days she can have two slices of bread and a glass of water. If I'm in good mood I might toast the bread for her and let her go for a walk outside. I find it very attractive to have a frail wife that i can just bully around and not complain about it. That's true love isn't it?
6. Well you can sort of see it from space. I did a search for Satellite photography of China on the NASA website. It pulled up some really incredible photos. It pulled up about 35 in all, here's my top 3. Hope you have broadband, some of these baby's are about 9M. http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/gallery/search.cgi http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/gallery/images...s010e13807.html Shenyang, China is featured in this image photographed by an Expedition 10 crewmember on the International Space Station (ISS). The city of Shenyang is China’s sixth largest city with a population of over 4 million residents in the urban core. http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/gallery/images/station/crew-10/thum/iss010e13807.jpg http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/gallery/images...s010e08497.html This picture, apparently the first verifiable photo showing the Great Wall of China from low earth orbit, was taken by International Space Station Commander Leroy Chiao. Chiao used a digital still camera with a 400mm lens when he snapped the photo... http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/gallery/images/station/crew-10/thum/iss010e08497.jpg http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/gallery/images...68-220-033.html Photographed through the Space Shuttle Endeavour's flight deck windows, this 70mm frame shows a small section of China's Yellow River (Huang Ho) highlighted by sunglint reflection off the surface of the water. http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/gallery/images/shuttle/sts-68/thum/sts068-220-033.jpg
7. Just wait about 2 months, then call dos. dos will tell you to wait some more. call back in another two or 3 months... then maybe...??? Congrats on your completion. another notch in the belt.
8. I read it like it says write her name in pin yin OR in telegrafic code. 1 OR the other? They got it in Pin Yin! That was for the supplimental form for CR-1.
9. http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/emoticons7/20.gifhttp://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/emoticons7/20.gifhttp://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/emoticons7/106.gifhttp://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/emoticons7/106.gif ...and our visa nightmare continues. I guess that's the puinishment we deserve for getting married.
10. Yes, Mike's was also 3rd party. His wife hd hired a lady to help her with her visa. She saw the lady she hired to help was doing nothing and fired her. Pay back was that the lady notified GZ that they were a fraud. He did confirm it, the lady even told his wife she would do it too...and she did. They were powerless. Truth or Lie, doesn't matter. Raising the flag is all it takes and your screwed. I think Carl suspected he was the victim ofr 3rd party also, but couldn't confirm. What a shitty thing to do to people. No reprocusions on part of the liar.
11. That's good info Frank. Otherwise, the mainland Chinese do need a passport/visa to enter HK. From what Frank said...the US Visa null and voids that rule. just no one middle finger salutes as she's walking past the security gaurds, you'll be ok.
12. I'de give anything to be with my wife right now.
13. Ya , If somebody was looking to kill Americains why would they go to China looking for them? They can get more bang for the buck in America than going overseas. (sorry for the sick pun.)
14. Thanks Gene and Oleman, butI still don't understand the need for another interview in China. By the time Lao Po arrives we will be only 6 months from our 2nd wedding aniversary. How romantic, after our 1st 2 years of marraige we can finailly start our lives together. Let me tell you how grateful I am, oh. maybe not. ______ (rant goes here...)
15. Whoa. What $380? There are very few things you can pay at the consulate. 144999 thanks Don!!! I didn't proof it first!! 145008 Hey Hank... Don't feel bad man. Don gave me the "whoa" over in bahan's thread too. He's been rustling too many sheep. If he were getting paid to do this he'd never have to worry about job security with guys like us around...
16. VOIP = Voice Over Internet Protocol. example Yahoo, MSN or Skype. Onesuite = Is via traditional landline. It's different.
17. If your papers were in GZ already, your wife would be requested to send GZ a fax with the new address in Chinese and English.... just an fyi.
18. Those #'s mean nothing anyways. Did you also see at the top of your 797 where it says proccessing could take from 990 to 990 days???
19. Bob, You changed your mind about leaving? I almost had the chance, but it got snuffed right as the economy started leveling out. dough!!! It would be exciting though.
20. Not to be a party pooper but, I remember how excited I was to have my K3 approved in only a few months. That was ohhhh.... about 1 year ago. Ya , wait in the US while the paper work gets approved my butt.... grumble grumble .... http://photobucket.com/albums/a19/freeTheInternet/Smiley/th_smiley-pissedoff.gifhttp://photobucket.com/albums/a19/freeTheInternet/Smiley/th_smiley-WTF.gif
21. http://www.usembassy-china.org.cn/guangzhou/iv/gzfaqs.html I thought I remebered reading something in the faqs about it. I got close. They said they would need it in writing.
22. Whoa the pony. Squeek's wife does not have a green card - she is here on her K-3. They decided to follow through on the original I-130 filing rather than do AOS. They have been married long enough, though, that when she finishes up in GZ she will receive an IR-1 rather than a CR-1. When she enters the US with it, it will trigger a 10 year card rather than a 2. Their issue is that it will take longer for Ling to get a green card by going AOS than finishing up the I-130 - so they are taking the shortest route. Because they have been married over two years, her first green card will be a ten year regardless of the path they take to get there; AOS or visa. 144522 Thanks Don for your help here. This is mine and Ling's choice here. Yes, according to Ohio, and dealing with Nebraska again, yes, we chose to go this route, It IS NOT FOR EVERYONE. Ling and I are the first to try this. I just know that when then is done, no more GOVT 144911 No more GOVT??? Giving Out Visa's Today??? Geez squeak... when's your interview date? hope it's not till Nov.
23. Talk with Lao Po everyday using Onesuite, no problems. Try using anouther local access #. I have had problems before but they only lasted a day or two. Very rearly have problems.

25. Thanks Don. Now if I could only find my name on the list now....hummm??? I asked about this before buuuuuttt, here we go again... There is a 2 month spread between the time NVC apporoved my paperwork and the time GZ says they received it is 2 months. Last time Nooneufo responded that CR1 P3 was the date GZ says they received the papers, not the date that NVC sends them. I think that nooneufo is correct because I still haven't got my P4 yet and every time I call dos I get the message. Still waiting to wait some more.
