1. http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/ty...es_1315.html#5b What Does the National Visa Center Do? After a Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) office in the United States approves the petition, it sends the petition to the National Visa Center (NVC). NVC does the following: Assigns a case number Sends Form DS-3032 Choice of Address and Agent (../visa/frvi_forms.html ) to the applicant (your spouse). The applicant selects an agent. The agent can be anyone, including the applicant. The NVC will mail all future letters (except for the Affidavit of Support, Form I-864) about processing the immigrant visa case to the agent. Make sure the postal address is correct and is kept up-to-date. Sends the bill for the Form I-864 Affidavit of Support processing to the petitioner Sends the Form I-864, Affidavit of Support to the petitioner after the petitioner pays the I-864 processing fee Sends the bill for immigrant visa (IV) processing fee to the agent after the applicant sends form DS-3032 Choice of Address and Agent, to the NVC Sends an instruction package to the agent after the agent pays the immigrant visa application processing fee, form DS-230 Reviews information for technical correctness and completeness. Sends the petition to the embassy or consulate where the applicant will apply for a visa when the case file is complete Note: It is important to follow instructions from the NVC carefully. Send the NVC only those things that it asks for. They specifically do NOT call it a "P3" Intentionally. The P3 is the equivelant of the 230 and the 864. The lady is telling you that your secruity check is finished and your in que for an interview. I was "in que" for 3 months. You got good news. Be happy. :greenblob:
2. How about you and your wife making love together. Is that proof? hehe, kidding... could resist.

4. I had to jump through hoops for the certificate of singleness. You can't get married in China without it. 4 sigantures required. 1. Public Notary 2. County Clerk (must be of the same county as public notary is registerd.) 3. Dept of State 4. Chinese consulate

6. How is your wife's english speaking skills vs. her writing abilitys? You might want to think about bringing a video tape of the two of you together interacting. Seeing is believing.
7. Sorry to hear that. It's a blow to all of us when we hear about rejections. What specifically was the reason for rejection? Was she previously married? Hang in there, better advice to follow mine I'm sure. Good luck.

Message to GUZ

I'm in a similiar boat Carl. I thought about the same thing. Just a note that says I love my wife, we are real and pray to god that the VO makes the right descision. The time I've been separated from my wife I've been miserable. I hope they don't extend my misery for frivolous reasons or a quota or statistic they are being held to. I have been separated form my wife for 6 months now. Fortunately I have been to see her 5 or 6 times in the last two years during this proccess. it's rough. that's for sure. Best wishes to you and your wife Carl.
9. The DS3032 is barcoded and the DS230 Part1 is printed front and back on one peice of paper, no barcode just like on their website. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y107/BuffaloBillsRock/ds230-1.jpghttp://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y107/BuffaloBillsRock/ds230-2.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y107/BuffaloBillsRock/ds230-3.jpghttp://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y107/BuffaloBillsRock/ds230-4.jpg
10. As long as you didn't hire a lawyer, you should be OK.
11. Think of your brain like a heard of Antelope, the beer only kills off the old and the weak cells, thus making the heard as whole stronger. Lesson for today... Beer makes you smarter. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y107/BuffaloBillsRock/awm1.gif http://photobucket.com/albums/y107/BuffaloBillsRock/th_barney1.gifhttp://photobucket.com/albums/y107/BuffaloBillsRock/th_beer1.gif
12. USPS was only $30 bucks cheaper. This coming Tuesday, not last Tuesday. They still have time. Since it's not going through GUZ, it should get their ontime. dough!!!Bart!! Yep, Got chinese simplified on 3 sides of the box. thx
13. L M A O!!! Guess I should have my wife try that one! 166507 Fear and B) Respect the MOP!!!
14. Yea, I used to worry that they might try to "teach me a lesson." I'm not that smart though. Cleared 2nd name check on 7/1 and didn't get P4 until 10/1 ??? That pisses me off!!! (or am I not allowed to say that here? ) I have an interview coming up shortly though. Sorry GUZ, That was my other personality coming out. I/He didn't mean it. I think you guys are the best. Visa apps are like wine, the older the better.
15. Here's what I did. Filled out the ds 3032 for her, scanned it into .pdf and e-mailed it to her. She signed it and mailed it to NH. Took 1 week. Got a certified check from the bank and mailed the $$$ for the app to the address on the letter. (the return address on the letter was slightly different than the self addressed envelope.) She wants an Agent! It's you. Fill in your name and address.
16. The other day I mailed my 8lbs "kitchen sink" to my wife. It cost me $175 bucks. I checked the tracking on it and now I think I know why. They told me it would get there by Tuesday. Quzhou where my wife lives is still about 1.5 hours from Hangzhou, so I imagine this is probably an inconvience for them to go out of there way for a delivery. After looking at the tracking, I can see they already went out of there way. I have another (smaller) package to mail today. I think I'll try DHL this time. 17. While the term customs clearance is accurate, they neglect to inform you that with the "Diplomatic Seal" on the boxes the only requirement to clear customs is that the consulate pick them up. Just one way of defering their backlog and redirecting who is responsible. I know it sucks to wait for them to collect the box with your file, but remember you also have the wait between P3 and P4. Buy more Cheetos... 166307 Lee, You just ruined it. Now we can't blame it on the mail man anymore. http://www.cmsu.edu/Images/NewsAndEvents/mcfeely_web.jpg
18. Ah, but it is.......... 166244 A Clue...??? Interesting, Very Interesting...
19. They mail the petioner (that's you) everything. You will be notified a few months after the case goes from CSC to NVC. 1st you'll get the DS-3032, then the 864. The 864 goes to St. Louis, not NVC VT.
20. In your last package from NVC they tell you to bring a copy. They want you to "show them the $$$!!!".
21. all responses are copied and pasted from the FAQ within 3 to 4 working days. oh yea , plus a speil about "since 911 yada yada yada..." That was only over 4 years ago. Any guess how long they'll milk that line for? Do yourself a favor and call DOS.
22. What Carl is saying in a indirect way is what ever you do, wait till she's here in the US to get married. You'll be glad you filed K1. If it's too late, then grab yourself a snickers bar and relax for a while. Your going nowhere fast. Ironic to tell someone that if you really love them, then don't get married. hehehe...
23. uh, correct me if I'm wrong, but that's their job right???
24. My 8lbs. kitchen sink to lao po cost me $175 to fed ex in 1 week delivery time. 1 way trip from Shanghai to SFO is $465 on China air. Wait to see how much my package of eveidence costs to mail. No Kidding... It was $175 to mail an 8lbs box of papers to China... UPS wasn't much cheaper. I went with Fed Ex though cause I really liked that "Castaway" movie with Tom Hanks.
