  1. how to get a copy of the requirements of the letter of invitation?
  2. Well Darnell the advantage to living in Wuhan is that you don't have to go to the steam baths in the summer because Wuhan IS a steam bath... Chengdu has much better weather... Anybody have any experience in Shenzhen?
  3. Jimi, things happen, you will worry yourself sick trying to figure out the GUZ mindset that is pervasive, be patient and prepare yourself to fully answer the RFE... good luck
  4. My wife stayed there during her first interview, then we stayed together there for overcome, Lee is 100% correct!!! Hank Alexi, Both Mr Yang and Mr Xie, who are listed on this board, have proved themselves time and again to be very honorable, knowledgeable and helpful people to those traveling to GZ for their visa interview. I realize there are many around the consulate that the same can not be said, my wife and I have personally met and seen both in action helping those in need of extra assistance with their visa or overcome, I can state that these men are the GOOD GUYS. There are a large number of members at CFL who would say the same. If my sister were needing to go to GZ for a visa interview I would insist that she stay with either Mr. Yang or Mr. Xie. They charge for rooms, not visa assistance which has always been given out of the kindness of their hearts.
  5. it happened to me.... had to do a letter explaining the evolution of our relationship, video of us talking and a couple of other minor things... of course this meant taking an unscheduled trip there... the upside being I got to be with her again.... you are doing all the right things.... read my recent post best wishes.... Hank
  6. To all my friends on CFL... that means everyone, even those that don't know me... After a long and protacted process, my wife and step-daughter arrived here on 8-16-06. One of these days I will get around to detailing some of the issues we had to overcome during the ordeal that the USG heaped upon us.... As for those in the process, let me say this.... dot all the i's, cross all the t's and provide all they ask for.. and something I would recommend to all, do a 5 minute minimum video (dvd is acceptable) of you and your SO in a conversation... this could save you time and money... more another time... best wishes to all!!! Hank
  7. heartbeats.... hope they don't stop!! good luck
  8. It seems that you being the agent makes most sense... it worked for me..... good luck
  9. Wow, great news Izus, I am really happy for you and your wonderful oppotunity with the family here for the wedding.... it will be a great visit I am sure.... good luck
  10. I'm not speaking of the obvious, I can see the G325a for myself, but it is my understanding he wouldn't need one, but what about, would there be a need to show my divorce papers and such? I wouldn't think there is much for his application. Follow the intructions??... isn't really an answer, the instructions don't really deal with my question, that's why I posted this question. 230527[/snapback] well it seems you have the answer.... funny, I followed the instructions and it answered all my questions.... The CR-1 and Cr-2 all begin with the I-130 applications for each, the process is cumbersome as you have to provide duplicate information. It was the requirements when I filed back in April of 2005... maybe things changed. good luck
  11. The blue slips are typically a result of the V. O. grasping at straws and usually finding them, the greatest majority usually passes with the overcome being presented. It all goes back to being prepared. I would encourage everyone to do a minimum 5 minute video of speaking to each other in the language in which you communicate.... it literally speaks volumns..... however, don't forget to provide the usually requested items.... and some!!! good luck
  12. The CR-2 is basically the same as the CR-1, only the Beneficary is the child. You have to provide the same information. It all starts with the I-130.... follow the directions.... Good luck
  13. Congratulations, it is always so great to hear of a success.... best wishes in future....
  14. The V. O. is one powerful person..... be prepared to provide any overcome evidence that is requested. good luck....
  15. Bill, Welcome to Candle, follow the well worn path.... lot's of info in the FAQ's as David advised.... you are well on your way... good luck
