  1. We just got back home and checked the mailbox. We just got two NOA's I-797's in the mail "Notice Type: Welcome letter". Identicle Letters, Reciept and Notice dates are the same on both. One was mailed 1 week before the other. The 1st one had a green card in though. She now has the "authorization" to work and reside here. That's cool, but I thought the tax payer ID # was required for work also.
  2. Are you dealing with the NVC - NH? You may be CR-1. Your K-3 turns to CR-1 with approval of your I-130. Your DS-230 part a is completed with the "P3" of your CR-1 process. See the links in my signature. They give a clear breakdown of how the K-3/CR-1 process works. DS-230 Part 2 is completed w/ your "P4". Good luck, it's not easy.
  3. It's about time Carl. Congratulations and Merry Christmas.
  4. My lawyer screwed up my wife's G325 to CSC, He used .pdf to fill out the doc. The font was too big to fit the whole address in the block. I told him about it and he corrected it, well he corrected only page 1 and not 2, 3 or 4. My wife never recieved a single document, except for the ones I forwarded to her to have her sign and mail back. I wrote NVC and it was easily corrected. Then she moved back to her parents address after her app went to guz. The app took 2 whole months to get from NH to GZ. Plenty of time to fax GZ the new address and follow up e-mail. E-mail GZ

  6. David, Your better than google or askjeeves any day. http://www.usembassy-china.org.cn/guangzhou/iv/gzfaqs.html My visa application was denied. Where, when and how do I submit additional required documents? Applicants asked to submit additional materials for their immigrant visa will need to schedule an appointment. Please call the U.S. Visa Information Center at 4008-872-333 within China or 86-21-3881-4611 from other countries, from 7 A.M. to 7 P.M. (Monday - Friday) and 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. (Saturday) for an appointment. Applicants must provide: names in Chinese characters and pin yin, case number, ID card number, passport number, phone number, and date of birth. There is a charge to access the Visa Information Center. Prices are 54 RMB for 12 minutes or 36 RMB for 8 minutes. The Visa Information Center charge may be paid at any CITIC Bank office or on the Internet at https://www.usavisainformation.com.cn/eng/index.aspx. Once the charge is paid, you will be given a PIN number that must be given to the Visa Information Center when you call to verify the payment. The U.S. Visa Information Call Center currently can assist callers in Mandarin, Cantonese, Taishanese, Fuzhou dialect, and English. Please read the refusal sheet (blue sheet) for specific instructions. Re-payment of the IV processing fee is required if evidence to overcome a refusal, i.e. 221(g), 212(a)(4), is not made within one year of the date of last refusal; this fee will be collected for all cases in which the delay is not due to US Government processing.
  7. Congratulations!!! Yopu look great together in that avatar shot. my Lao Po is on the airplane right now, as i write this. unreal...
  8. "Black Widow" - nuff said. In her case, Rules don't matter, she has her own set she goes by, that aren't document. Not your fault, sorry to hear that.
  9. I have been 6 times in the last 2 years. Probably not an issue if they ran a check on my passport. Opinoins are like a@@hles, they stink and everybody has one. hehe...kidding.
  10. Congratulations!!! Chinese w/ and American accent? How cute. my wife had an Austrailian english teacher. Now that's bloody cute. hehe... damn yanks...
  11. David is about to speak. I will just say No$$$ = no app = No GZ = No visa. he beat me to it... I'll just add also, you won't get a reciept. Only the return slip on your registered mail. You keep your money order or certified check. It's the only accepted means to pay.
  12. The rules say only 1 time is manditory. If K1's from VSC are getting visa's in only 9 months, how many times would you expect an person to visit their wife/fiancee, especially from the Eastern US. 12 hours time difference. Can't have much more of a "long distance relationship" than that. In my wifes interview they asked if lao Po had ever talked with my mom. answer: yes, on web cam too. and he also asked to see our pics. Never questioned how many times I visited or if I was there for her interview. Imagine the VO thinking that you are a fraud because you only vistied 1 time or weren't present for her interview. What kind of supporting evidence could you submit to change the past, related to either question? I think, none. That's why I say irrelivent. Paranoia rules!! - Paranoia will destroy ya... Rock on http://photobucket.com/albums/y107/BuffaloBillsRock/th_headbang.gif Who said "Lao Poo"? too funny... http://photobucket.com/albums/y107/BuffaloBillsRock/th_biglaugha.gif

  14. In one of the earlier posts about over staying the greencard while here in the US, Frank mentioned that marraige was the only "forgivable" excuse for overstaying the greencard. If she were to get here on the tourist visa, there would be nothing keeping her from staying in the US since your already technically married. (I thought b-2 was the business visa, that required sponsorship.) Makes sense... She could be a threat to national security with a tourist visa, but not with the K. kidding.
  15. Congratulations, Thanks for sharing your happiness.
  16. Do NOT send anything to Chicago without the NOA1! My Lawyer did that to me as a time saving step, thinking it would help speed up the process. The 129F made it to Chicago (with the check for the app fee.) The package was signed for but the check was never cashed and never recieved a response from them, even after I inquired about it. You can check out my timeline and the procedures from the links in my signature. The one below was very well written, I followed it step by step. it was right on. http://www.geocities.com/jgomes4551/k3.html The I130's are getting approved very quickly. Making them CR-1's "ouch"! You won't find many real K3's, only the old timers. (filed K3 before Jun 04.)
  17. Frank, My mother in Law doesn't know a lick of english, but one time I brought my chinese learning books with me, written just like in your link. Amy had to step out of the house for a couple hours and left me and ma ma at the house. I busted out my books and started going over the words with her. scored major brownie points with mama. she's always laughing at me. cause I make fun of baba sometimes when he makes that loud slurping noise at the table. hehe...
  18. I asked my wife what if I said "xie xie ni ma ma" - Thankyou ma ma or Thankyou (using the term as a question, should I say thankyou?) I ducked a swing after that. She said it was like saying "Thankyou for your mother." definately a dangerous language, not to be used by our home veiwing audiance.
  19. Thanks everybody! I couldn't wait for Amy to get here sooo... http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y107/BuffaloBillsRock/panobrdige.jpg We actually had a western style wedding, Amy planned it all. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y107/BuffaloBillsRock/site1075.jpg

  22. I know I'm in CA, but this Sanatra song popped in my head again. New York New York She said the interview took only 2 minutes. The VO saw our pictures and smiled when he looked at the one below. http://www.geocities.com/tinbed17/a3e4.jpghttp://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y107/BuffaloBillsRock/disney6x.gif http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y107/BuffaloBillsRock/dance1.gifhttp://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y107/BuffaloBillsRock/awm1.gifhttp://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y107/BuffaloBillsRock/chinesegirl3.gifhttp://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y107/BuffaloBillsRock/smiley-bounceMultiColor.gifhttp://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y107/BuffaloBillsRock/smiley-rave.gifhttp://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y107/BuffaloBillsRock/ththnapoleondance.gifhttp://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y107/BuffaloBillsRock/ththomgz.gifhttp://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y107/BuffaloBillsRock/ththoompalumpa.gif
  23. This is from my handbook about answering a question in part C of the 485 for AOS. " The questions in Section C are meant to identify people who are inadmissible. With the exception of certain memberships in terrorist, Communist Party or similar organizations, you will not be deemed inadmissible simply because you joined an organization. However, if your answer to any of the other questions is “yes,” you may be inadmissible. Chapter 25 (of the handbook) is intended to help you remove such obstacles. Don’t lie on your answers because you will probably be found out, especially if you have engaged in criminal activity. Many grounds of inadmissibility can be legally overcome, but once a lie is detected, you will lose the legal right to correct the problem. In addition, a false answer is grounds for denying your application in itself and may result in your being permanently barred from getting a green card."
