How bad is the situation where you see lines of 20 or more outside of home depot waiting for work every morning??? It's a joke. funny I don't recall ever seeing even 1 female chinese person in those lines. probably due to there lack of roofing skills I'm sure.

What's the deal with the employment letter anyway? In the I-864 They ask for current pay stubs and copies of your last 3 years of taxes. That info would pretty much put the nail in the coffin whether or not your above the poverty line and your employment is steady. Your SSN and tax returns can be easily verified for accuracy, where the employment letter they ask for in the interview doesn't require notary and could be easily forged with innaccurate information. I don't see where it would hold any water vs. providing any other proof of employment. Paystubs include all the same information printed on water marked paper that says "VOID" accross it when you try to copy it. dough!!! "On hand" would mean it's almost "In hand". Donuts and coffee are "In hand", paperwork is "on hand". It means that your paperwork is somewhere in China. Only about 1 more month to wait until someone actually looks at it. Call DOS, e-mail to guz is a frustrating waist.

GUZ doesn't even know. This just in... My wife called and said she got the P4 today (10/1) and interview date is 11/21. Still hard to feel happy about it knowing she should have been here with me a long time ago. I remember last Thanksgiving hopeing she would be here for opening day of baseball in April this year. Now just feeling lucky she will be here before the year is over with. 1 year and 5 months of sure misery. Now I'm PO'd that i won't have anything to be angry about. Stirring??? We're swimming in it..., doing high dives into it and then smok..errr and I mean and then uhhh... back flips into it. Two weeks ago I sent an e-mail to GZ. Never got a response. Must have been the hurricane blew my e-mail away. We need to stir the pot Carl. That's the whole point. Nothing is happening. Sitting waiting for change to happen won't change anything. (on the converse side, there's nothin we can do anyways but kiss gz'z throne and smile.) I can tell by Alex's tone, he's not kissin' nobodys post. Now the last response I got was about a month ago and they flatly stated it would be about 3 months (definitely sounded canned). According to our predictions experts, my wife should get her P4 sometime this week (actually 9/30) for an interview date of 11/14. The other thing that makes me believe a human sent the email is that the grammar seems off from a canned response. What do you all think? Looking for good vibes that it is geniune but then, considering it's from GUZ, well....you know what that means. Thanks for your opinions!! Petitioners ex-spouse and your ex-spouse were both X'd They want to know where he is and penalized you for it. They will make your SO get a current photo of him with a newspaper to prove he is in China. Or even a letter from his employer. This has come up before. Somebody can find that string. It was about the same time Alex's interview was. It was Micheal that had a similar situation.

Some good news. It was written by a real person? or copied and pasted? The norm is 2 months of "the mail room." Followed by anouther 2 months of "security clearance checks". Followed by at least 3 months (and counting) of waiting for a date for a date, followed by 1 month till interview. Any sign that a warm blooded human being responded, should be commended though. Congrats.

Oh you'll get a reply. Copied and pasted right off their FAQ page. There's no accountability, it's blaringly obvious. They don't even wear name tags. They can come up with a rejection notice based on the lamest excuse with no investigation. It's not up to them to prove anything to you though. Just a bird whispering in someone's ear is good enough. The frustrating part is that anything you do or say outside of CFL is yelling into a well. The way your app is going right now, if nothing changes you still have 5 months ahead of you. That sucks.

I feel for you Alex. My CR-1 petition left NVC last April 1st. We cleared name check 3 months ago. Been in que for an interview date for 3 months now. Doing nothing. Just sitting. Waiting. It's absolute BS that the embassy is allowed to be so slow.

Knowing Mandarin and English, she'll be able to speak to 1/2 the worlds population. As for advice on wills, I would recommend a "Living Trust". Avoids probate and changes are easily made on the fly. Talk to a lawyer about it. (...I hate lawyers)

Randy, The date you have for the P3 was that the date Dept of State noted? I am just wondering because DOS said they received our electronic on 1 June- but GUZ doesn't recognize until July? DOS told me GZ requested 2nd name check a day after GZ replied that they still haven't recieved our app from NVC yet. What ever date DOES NOT work in your favor. That's the one to use. Don't bother contacting GZ. (BS answers) Just call DOS. (accurate and friendly support.)

Thanks for your replies and support. I just start questioning myself, having crazy thoughts of giving up (I never would, even if it meant I had to move to China.) Yesterday I just got to the point that I cried. Watching and seeing everyones happiness drives me further in the hole, because I am forced to remain miserable and I didn't do anything wrong. Why me? Even Amy is to the point that she told me she doesn't care about it anymore. I know she does, but I share her feeling torwards the wait. Our happiness sits in a file cabnet unseen or cared about , waiting. feeling like getting married before her visa was a huge mistake. it was, but not our marraige. I feel sadness, anger and a little bit of happiness about this "sept. wave". mostly sadness, because what I'm seeing in the timelines has K1's with delivery dates to GZ behind mine, getting there visa's next week, while I still sit at home without even an interview date yet. I'm CSC CR1 , it doesn't get any longer than that. I'm missing my wife. I feel like I am being deprived of my right to be happy with her. my time is being taken away, while unmarried people are given head of the line privleges. this is where i get angry.. sheat! but at the same time i wish everyone happiness even though i can't be happy. When I signed up for this wait, CR1 wasn't even a thought or consideration. i was blessed with by the backlog reduction act with a speedy 1-130 approval. i was extactic with happiness. i didn't know (1 year ago) that approval would be my dismay. My Lawyer cost me me 2 months right from the start. He happened to forget one small thing about my paperwork. like mailing it!!! it was ok though after the I-130 approval. (I thought then) My paperwork was supposed to be mailed by my lawyer on 6/1/04, he finailly got around to it the end of 7/04. I thought my lawyer abandend me because he told me he mailed it, then I couldn't contact him, he didn't tell me he was leaviving for a 1 month vacation with no way to contact him. I knew I should have gotten the NOA1 after 2 weeks. I got nothing, I thought maybe my lawyer had my NOA1. I didn't know. After he got back from his vacation, then he tells me he forgot to mail it. to speed things up he mailed my 130 and my 129 off at the same time. (NOA1 would catch up to the 129F later) . NOT!!! Chicago signed that they recieved the app, but never cashed the check or even responded back to me. even after I inquired about it. So after 2 weeks still no NOA1. then finailly I got an RFE from CSC. At this point I was actually happy to get the RFE. My apps never meantioned our marrage and I couldn't prove i was even a US citizen to the CSC. My passport was expired, i had a new one and asked my lawyer to mail the new one with the app. (originally we were going to go K1.) anyway , about this time I met Mark, (Squeaky) he really helped me out of the jam i was in as all this was going on with my lawer. with Marks help, I got back ontrack. Thankyou Mark. Then the Next 8 months was dealing with the slowest $%^##$%^& , &*(%&895, gov employees ever at NVC NH. In fairness to NVC , I don't think they were ready for the backlog either. the backlog only helped the UCISC. It makes me mad to read them boasting about how they have improved things now since last August. What a flat out lie... Improved for them, screw everyone else. Now they want more $$$. So NVC approves finailly and sends my approval to GZ. It took 2 months to reach GZ!!! BS!!! I call DOS, DOS says GZ requests 2nd name check, the same day i got an e-mail from GZ saying they still haven't recieved it yet. WTF??? That's when I learned to forget about GZ. That is an example of a poorly run operation, that I can get good information from DOS 1/2 way around the world, but not from the source. I e-mailed GZ about what DOS had told me and i got some typical vanilla reply with a blurb about 911 cut and pasted from there website. So on 7/1 they tell me i'm in Que for an interview. I just called today. Same reply , waiting for an interview date. and i'M SEEING UNMARRIED PEOPLEBEHIND ME AT THE START GETTING THERE VISAS NEXT WEEK. I want an explaination. an intelligent one. I want somebody to be held accountable for the pain they are putting my wife and I through. I love my wife, she is not my fiancee or my GF. Why am I not given priority? I am not even in the same line with the K1's I am pushed back to the end of the line behind the K1's. I can't understand any of this. CSC, NVC, GZ... you guys really need to take a good look at what your doing. I am extremely disappointed. People that go about the proccess legally and lawfully suffer the worst. Illegals that are apprehended by by the police in the US are set free. per Immigration. Looking forward AOS isn't sounding like it's anymore fun either. i'm just plain disgusted with everything and i'll never be repaid for the time i've lost with my wife. My happiness means nothing to anyone that is in a position to help me. I am merley a statistic. (not even a "priority statistic" , I'm a CR1 from CSC.) CR1 was forced on me. it was not my choice!!! I have been "In Que", for an interview since July 1st. Not it arrived GZ July 1st. For 2 months my papers have done nothing but sit. GZ received my P3 before you K1's were even mailed your P3's. I just called NVC right now. Still waiting for a date. WTF!!!@opZ%##

Get her an ATM card from your bank with your name on it. Set up a 2nd savings/Checking accnt. for her . Let her use it the same as you would if you were in China. Then manage the accnt. online. It's not the bank that's the issue. it's the network system the bank belongs to.
