  1. I remember when I saw this picture for the first time. I was in the mall in a picture store, it brought tears to my eyes, still does today!
  2. Continental didnt charge my wife any fees on her flight to China in Dec.
  3. Congradulations! I wonder what happen to mine. We applied in Fed 08 and my wife didnt get hers til September of 09 (1 yr 7mos!) and my step daughter got hers in Dec 09(1yr 10mos). This was after multiple calls and opening cases for information. Neither of them had interviews either.
  4. I did the CR-1 as we wanted to be able to leave the States without any problems. I also married my laopo on my first trip over, although we had talked to almost 2 years prior. Dont sweat it, you can get all the info andmore you need to do this right here. Our CR-1 took a year and 3 months. I didnt start the filing until Feb and we married in Jan. I hadnt found this site yet so I was stressing and looking for info. I was a postage stamp away from sending the signed paper work off to an attorney for them to do it. But the line about me still haveing to do all the work and they would just basically double check my paper work and send it on, made me stop. Once I got here it was relatively easy! The painful part is the waiting! Just buy lots of cheetos! And Good Luck, you are, after all, dealing with the US Government and you can always use luck when dealing with them!
  5. Well we finally recieved my wifes 10 yr GC back in August. Yet her daughters is still AWOL. I called USCIS again and put the second request for information on it back in September. Well saturday I recieved an email saying they ordered production of her daughters GC. Sooo almost 2 years after I filed for removal of conditions we get the daughters! But no interview for either of them. They leave Dec 10th for china again and the GC should be here the day before she leaves!

    DC sniper executed

Good riddance! I was thinking the same thing Dave. We have some sitting there for 20 years with appeals, but this guy is gone in 7 years? Personally, I think if you murder someone you should be excuted. Although I think the family members of the one(s) you killed should have the final word in how.

    "Gun Free" Zone

But but guns are bad! Guns Kill!
  8. I wouldnt say it is due to lack of gun control, as we have plenty of laws on the books. It is rather we do not punish the criminals because it is inhumane and let them out so they can commit more and usually more violent crimes.
  9. Congrats! I did the same thing with the im's just a few pages from each month just to be sure, but needed none of it.
  10. When my wife applied to the local CC they gave her a list of the companies that they would accept translated transcripts from. I can not for the life of me remember the name now though, I know they were based in NY. They translated and accredited all her classes and shipped them to the school, we had one shipped to us too. They require unopened transcripts for her schoold in china though. It took a few months to get it going so the earlier you start the better. She was already here so having the school in china send them was difficult. Her degree basically gave her an AS here but she had to take all the english courses and is now going through accounting courses just to get familar with the english terms.
  11. Congradulations! We got the same letter a few weeks ago.
  12. I sent in 2 affidavits, some pics of us with my parents and some friends, and a few bank statements with both our names. Oh and the birth certificate for our son! Waited 11 months and recieved a letter stating she was good and should recieve her 10 yr GC within 60 days. No interview
  13. Congratulations! I remember when I got the phone call, great feeling.
  14. Good Luck! We are debating on wheather or not my wife should go for citizenship.
  15. I filed for my wifes 10 yr GC in Feb of 08, we just recieved the letter stating she will get her 10 yr GC within the next 60 days(no interview!). We went last summer to get her passport stamped with an extension. Just make an infopass appointment and get the extension stamp. I have no experience on traveling on the new stamp, we didnt get a chance too.
