  1. Just wondering, my wife reads on 001 that you need to supply along with the 1-751 (Conditional green card to 10yr card) evidence of your relationship, now if this is the case this is clearly B.S.!! this evidence was submitted way back durring the K-1 phase, the adjustment of status stage do we need to do this all over again??? i was told by the officer back when she was at the AOS interview for the 2yr green card that all we needed to do was just file prior to 90 days is up on the 2yr card. I read the instructions on the uscis site on filing this form and all they mention as for evidence is a copy front and back of the 2yr card, am I right or wrong?? do we need to proove our relationship again? if so this is crap! because we prooved it durring the last interview. very confused on this issue.
  2. originally i met my now wife online while living in ohio when we got serious about our relationship and i knew there would be a possibility to bring her here i moved to virginia because ohio k1 apps go through the nebraska service center and it would have taken 10 to 14 months to get her here so i moved to virginia and went through the vermont service center which took only 2 weeks to go from p1 to p2. which was a smart move for me because nebraska had a back log of 2 to 4 months going from p1 to p2 so 8 months is a good guess for a 8 month timeline but it also depends on which service center processes your k1 app. does nebraska have this long back log still?????? anyone know?
  3. sorry bud...there are no short cuts or we all would not have waited this long, i waited 7 months since filing and many others here way longer than me, kick back..enjoy the tv to yourself, go to movies to pass the time, it goes quicker than you think. by the way if and i mean IF she did ever get a B1 visa and stayed she and you can be charged with felony fraud., she signes a paper stating she does not intend to migrate to the US when getting a B1 , i looked into this and a lawyer said she can be expelled from the US under attempt of fraud and if you were to file a 129F and then her file a B1 and both of you knowing this there could be problems, and if the GOV found this out well..lets no think about that just to say chances of her coming are very slim so just kick back and let the system work, there is only a 2% chance of getting turned down at the interview.
  4. deceased... quick question for you... some of us here on cfl often worry about "is our chinese girl coming to the US for a purpose?" my question is did your wife get a green card? if so how long after her getting the card did things start to not work out? reason i ask is several people on cfl and 001 have reported their girl has up and left the man, just one has to wonder the "green card factor". i do here that divorce's that happen shortly or within 2 years of obtaining a green card is highly frowned upon and that it's next to impossible to petiton another fiance, from any country. if theres a chance for you to work it out take my blessings and try, because it will be very hard to request another K1/K3
  5. when you email GUZ its downloaded into DOS's computers at 1200am eastern time , so any information GUZ puts in your file its in DOS's file also. When they process the visa its recorded in Guz's computers thus DOS will know also. Just like when you can call to get the interview date, you can also call to know if the visa has been prepared. just an idea to throw out, this is what i did and was relieved a day early :-)
  6. Congrats Dave!! my girl got her visa in her hands also!!
  7. anyone can post here i dont discriminate any visa type, its just when ever i needed information regarding K1 which is what i filed, my threads would get hijacked by CR1 members and the discussion would go off to another topic and my original topic was taken over so this is why i mostly mentioned only K1 or K3 applicants and not CR1. this didnt happen once or twice it happened everytime and i have been posting on here since march and noticed this problem so i requested postings that was related to my situation. sorry if anyone took offense no punts intended, its just that i have been posting of forums for 6 years (prop forums) and this is a rule of "right of way" and common curtousy not to hijack a thread. anyway...........CONRATS TO EVERYONE WHO HAS PASSED SEPT INTERVIEWS!!!
  8. forgot this: since there is a 12 hour difference in time between GUZ and DOS, you can call the morning (US time) after her interview and get this info. i called at 830am Eastern time and was given the info i have been waiting so long to hear
  9. now i can post the dates. her interview was on sept 09 passed the interview she picked the visa up on tuesday. theres been many cases where a SO will have the interview, given a pink/red slip and told "your approved" and only to find a blue slip waiting at time for pickup 2 days later. heres what i did, my SO's interview was on a friday she was told to return on tuesday at the post to get the visa, instead of waiting 2 days i called DOS on monday and the DOS agent told me "she had been approved at the interview and her visa has been prepared and completed" now this is a very good way of knowing before going back to pick up the visa because after your SO has the interview and instead of waiting in limbo for 2 days wondering if the visa will actually be there for her or a blue slip you can be better prepaired, because if by chance there was a reverse approval after the interview you would know a day earlier and then you can have your SO bring all the evidence of your relationship with her to pick up the blue slip and then go to the consolate immediatly, i couldnt wait the 2 full days i called DOS the day after her interview and was told visa and no blue slip!! so for the people who cant go to the interview you can call the DOS after the interview and find out the best post-interview information "visa or blue slip" just my thoughts.
  10. whats this i hear on 001 that a girl went to an interview on friday got the pink/red slip and went to pay for the pickup fee at the post office and then got a call to her hotel room from the embassy letting her know she needed to return to get a blue slip "denial" notice, and according to this girl they told her "name check not complete" what gives??? should we be concerned?? if my so needs to still pick up her visa and was given the pink/red slip is there still a chance on getting this BS blue slip??
  11. dude if you dislike chinese WHY DID YOU SEEK TO MARRY ONE?! you need to remember you are in their country and not the "100% perfect" USA.
  12. I dont know why all the questions but it went fast, like 2 minutes questioning and then a minute looking at the pics and 2 minutes looking over my 134 form and employer letter, dont know why he spent time looking over my letter i make 3 times over the poverty level and the letter was notarized! but my taxes from last year show less than 15K because i wrote alot of expenses off but my income level is set and well over 35k a year now, thank God i changed jobs last year!!

  14. The information I got today applies to K1 visa's only not cr1's, I didnt ask about cr1's. I called DOS this morning and she told me the complete breakdown on K1 visa fees: 1. 165USD Petition fee (paid when you submitted your petition) 2. 100USD paid at a designated bank by GUZ for interview application. This MUST be paid prior to interview! and MUST be paid prior to medical exam! you must bring this receipt with you to the hospital and GUZ for interview. I asked DOS "Ok...so this 100USD pays the application fee?, how much is the Visa?" she replied "the 100USD application fee actually pays for the visa". 3. Pay the hospital 800RMB fee and/or pay the express service fee of 100RMB. 4. The hospital MUST see the appointment letter and receipt of BOTH the visa fee and the medical exam fee 5.At GUZ....SO must pay 45USD for special processing and fingerprinting fee 6. SO must bring both the visa fee receipt and the sealed medical envelope to interview. This is all confirmed by DOS as of Aug 09 2005. some of you can help by calling DOS and making a post to this thread as to what the DOS operator tells you on these fees.
