  1. OK, Your right and I'm wrong. All i know is that when my wife came here in 2007 and we filed for AOS we did not fill out the I-130 again for green card. Seeing that the OP wife is Already in the U.S. and living with him. I guess i fill out the wrong forms this time around.
  2. Where does it say anywhere in the I-130 instructions to use the I-130 for a green card? I don't see in the OP post stating applying for green card. Assuming that is what there are doing. Could be here on work visa, Student visa and got married in the U.S. Then the I-130 would be used. We do not know there history just by assuming.
  3. A little confused here? You say your wife is already in the U.S. How did she come to the U.S.? What visa did/or she have now in order to come here. Need a little more info/background on your story. I-130 is for: Others will chime in soon with more help.
  4. I had the same problem when i did the DS-260. There should be a link at the bottom of the page to have the confirmation page emailed to you. Then just print from email.
  5. Thanks buddy. That's what i figured they where doing. Her medical is a week from today. I'll keep ya all posted.
  6. WOW, That a first for me? But Congrats! :yahoo: We have our interview in two weeks 03/02/2015 Though I'm a bit confused for our status on the ceac site first showed ready and now shows administrative processing. Before interview???
  7. EMS would take about a week to get there, with door-to-door (that's American door to Chinese door) tracking. Use Priority Mail Express International or Priority Mail International (both tie in to EMS in China) at the USPS. The package may be tracked within China at http://www.ems.com.cn/english.html. I do NOT recommend Global Express Guaranteed, since they hand off to FedEx or UPS in China, although this may work for you - your choice. Yep, Global Express Guaranteed 1-3 day would have to be it. These documents need to be in her hand BEFORE the Chinese new year shut down. If i ship tomorrow 02/10/2015 will arrive on or before 02/15/2015
  8. UPDATE: were all NOT going to the interview. Jen and Chen are going solo. If they pass then we'll all then go and help travel to the U.S. Now here is what i need to do ASAP. I have all the original papers (I-130,I-864,DS-260) Jen has all the original white books (In China) I need to send all these papers to her. What would be the best and safest way to send all original documents?
  9. Thanks Dan, that's what figured. The more i think about this and the time frame we have. Plus airline tickets for this date are sky high. I think were just going to send Bob/husband to GZ for interview. If all goes good and they pass interview. Zhenghong and i will then go to Chongqing and help wife and stepson travel to U.S. They would like to come here late May or early June. We'll keep everyone updated.
  10. Well as the title says. We just received a email from NVC (4:18am) for an interview date of 03-02-2015. Yes a bit tight!!! 3 weeks? Now there might be some small issues (For me) Two weeks ago i sent in my passport for renewal with standard processing 4-6 weeks. as we can see the time frame will not work. Plus i will need to get new visa added to passport. The visa is easy and fast and just cost some extra $$. I will be calling on Monday to see if i can get this passport rushed through. If worst come to shove we may have to ask for new interview date. Does anyone know how to go about this?
  11. It will change back to "INCOMPLETE" because it needs to be reviewed by NVC. This takes anywhere from 30-45 days to complete (If you open the DS-261 again it will reset the 30-45 days) Once the review process of the DS-261 it will then change to COMPLETE! That is when you can pay your IV bill I just finished with NVC last week and waiting for GZ now.
  12. Mick, Ronny. Thanks guys for the support. All three of us have been this road and we know how rough it can be. IMO; It's perseverance and what we do as men, the out come of the end result is love and happiness. Godspeed to everyone and always have an open hart. What is yours will always come to you. never give up and always fight the to the end. The end result? Is pure life and love. Stand fast my friends. Mike
  13. Our case number starts with GZO and we EP. It has been some time now but i seam to remember QZ would let you chose what day for interview. I think we'll get a email from QZ saying to go to the CGI Stanly site for interview dates. But i could be wrong too, we'll just have to wait and see.
  14. Well folks we made it through NVC and with no check list. I just checked the CEAC site and it now shows CASE COMPLETE. So it looks like we'll be headed to GZ soon. Question: Anyone know how the interview day is set up and when?
  15. You may need to install the Chinese Language pack on your computer. Translation from above: 您可能需要在电脑上安装了中国语言包。 Can you see Chinese characters now? If not, you will need the Chinese language pack on your computer. There will be others posting soon with more help.
  16. Catherineli: I can't answer your first two question only for the fact i do watch a lot of violent (action) films. What can i say, I'm a guy! As for your 3rd question: your are correct as my internet name does mean: Nuworld means New World with its implied meaning of a new life. Before i joined CLF i was a lurker here on the forum and was only a guest (Not a member) That was back in 2006. After reading many posts for many months this forum/Family changed my out look on things and gave new life to me. That is when i decided to join this family and have never looked back. If you hang around here on CFL for some time you will see members come and go. They will join, ask questions and get there wife/husbands here in the U.S. and you'll never see them again. Everyone you know now today on CFL has been with this family many many years. They always come back home to the family and always will. I would not know what to do with out the family of CFL. My wife has been here in the U.S. now for 8 years. And i still come to this forum/family everyday. In fact i visit this family many times a day. I'll post now and then and more often now for my sister in law is also going down this visa road. I hope this help you understand the mind set of some old and new members thinking. Mike. AKA Nuworld.
  17. I'm also at NVC at the same stage you are now. Though i have as yet gotten no checklist. Birth certificate ( White Book) should look like this: Hope this helps. NVC can be a pain in the ass and there very slow and have a long backup. Good luck. Mike
  18. New years here in Ohio can get a bit crazy with all the red necks and hill billy's drinking too much beer and moon shine. ( Home made wine) We shoot ALOT!! of guns and drink ALOT of beer out in the woods. We get family and friends together, build a large bon fire, eat, drink and get crazy. We all jump on our 4wheelers run in the mud and shoot guns. OH? I did i say we drink ALOT of beer? Yes we do! New years day? We just recoop from the night before and watch foot ball (And drink more beer)
  19. When i sent in last month it took NVC about 2 weeks to send email. NVC is so backlogged on everything it is even taking a month to reply to emails inquires. Now the 60 day wait begins before they review the documents. over at VJ there are some members that have waited 90 days before NVC reviewed there documents. USCIS is approving everyone vary fast and this is overloading NVC.
  20. You need to go to Step 6: Submit Documents to the NVC Follow the instructions there for sending (emailing) the AOS and IV packets. I just sent in ours about a month ago. there is a 60 wait before NVC will review the documents and if their is anything missing or incorrect NVC will send you a check list asking for the documents to be sent or corrected. Then that 60 day wait starts again. EDIT: I just saw this: Filed I-130 in Beijing (DCF) Just follow what Dan And Randy has said.
  21. Yes it can take 60 days. I'm 30 days into the wait so far. If NVC does not return anything (Checklist) from the documents for corrections after the 60 days then you'll get case complete and ready for interview. But! if NVC does return anything the 60 day clock is reset again. If you not heard anything from NVC after 60 days, Call NVC.
  22. Yes This is very true as you have said. BUT!! most members do not read the entire thread from the start to end and only catch the last few posts of the thread. With that being said, I'm the guinea pig: and have so far gotten a bit more down the road with NVC as most with no problems as of yet?
  23. After this whole mess with the email thing i and reading this guote a few more times i realized it was not saying anything about the email it self but the Attachments need to be below 5MB and says nothing about how many you can send at one time. So i took a chance and sent ALL files i had in One email. Each FILE was 5MB or below. I sent one email for the wife and one email for step son. Each email sent had well over 5MB and closer to 40-45MB but EACH FILE sent in one email was below the 5MB rule. You might want to look at this thread. Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups If you have any questions and or need help. Send me a PM or ask here in this thread. I'm doing the same as you and going down the same road as you. So far i have had no problems and all documents have been received with no problems. Go back to the beginning of the link i provided and read the entire post from the beginning. If you still need help PM me or ask here in this thread. NVC has changed the way we all summit documents and it can be a bit confusing. As far as i can tell I'm one of the first to travel down this new road of NVC electronic processing other than C4Racer (Michael) Back when i did this for the first time in 2006 it was easy and straight forward. Now today even though it is more stream lined and faster? it still can be a bit overwhelming. Were here to help ya buddy! Mike
  24. You can send as many attachments in one email as you want as long EACH document is below the 5MB rule. I just sent both the AOS and the IV packet all in one email. 25. As Randy said, I'm a bit confused as to what was submitted as a translated document. as for TWO different WHITE books? This is new to me. There is only one WHITE book to submit As you can see in the examples below (These are the translated documents for my wife) these are what we submitted and was accepted with no questions asked. All Translated documents should be in this format and from China's Notarial Offices (Gong Zheng Chu) USCIS will always (In most cases) Approve ones case. NVC will just take your money and make sure all required papers are in order. If every thing is in order NVC sends it to GZ. It all comes down to the one behind the glass window on interview day. They are GOD and have the final say. They hold your/our lives in there hands. It's just the way it is. I've been down this road before and I'm doing it again. Cross your T's And dot your I's and most important....... Research, Research. In the long run! Everyone always gets there visa, Some just take longer. Hang in there buddy. We all heard the saying, If you build it they will come. Trust me! you and your SO will be together soon. Mike (Note) Randy/Dan please feel free to edit this post as needed.
