  1. Here is the next question: I would like to pay the fee's now and get the DS-260 started. Question: Does it matter who pays the fee's? And does GUZ know who pays the fee's?
  2. Well It's time for the I-864 papers. Just downloaded the I-864 and while reviewing them i noticed it asks for A# I then check the I-130 approval's for Bob's wife and step son. No A# listed on the Approval's Now what? Is this really needed to complete the I-864? I know I'll have more question about this form (9 pages) but those will come at a latter time.
  3. well this was the general plan only for the fact that we figured it would take 4-5 ( or more) months to get there I-130 approved. We all know this is not the case for it only took 36 days( NOA1 to NOA2) for I-130 to be approved and sent to NVC. DS-261 completed today.
  4. Just Completed the DS-261 online for wife and stepson. Though i did notice the visa class. CR1 - wife. CR2 - stepson. Maybe I'm wrong but shouldn't this be. IR1 - wife. IR2 - stepson. Or will this change latter? Edit: Just looked at marriage certificate and marriage took place on 05-09-2013 I figured when this is all said and done, The two year mark will have passed?
  5. Yes, The wife and i go to work very early in the morning. Zhenghong has never seen this before. Today, 5am est we get to work a bit early to watch this. JUST!! Amazing!! Is all i can say.
  6. OK, All email Bob gets is automatically forwarded to me. If i use my name would that raise a red flag? (Seeing my name is already in the GUZ system) If using Bobs name any and all email would be forwarded to me anyhow from now to interview. So maybe it might be best to use petitioner name?????
  7. Sorry Dan I'm a little confused and don't understand. I do understand that the EAC# for each is needed. But do i give them Bob's name or his wife and step sons name? Yes, this tends to verify the petitioner to NVC. They will then let you know it is OK to start the next steps, starting with doing the DS-261 to choose agent, then paying AOS and Visa fees, followed by DS-260. I believe they can designate you to act as Agent for the NVC stage. http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/approved/contact.html OK here is the new UPDATE: Just received a email from NVC with instruction for the next step (DS-261) For both wife and step son. I login to the link provided in email (Same link above) i enter GUZ number and invoice number. It also asks for (I am the) (Applicant,Attorney,Petitioner,Third-Party Agent. The question is WHAT? should i chose?
  8. Sorry Dan I'm a little confused and don't understand. I do understand that the EAC# for each is needed. But do i give them Bob's name or his wife and step sons name?
  9. USCIS to NVC 1 - 2 weeks.NVC processing perhaps 1 - 2 months. GUZ processing perhaps a month after that to an interview. Post GUZ interview processing 1-2 weeks unless there is a snag like CCP then AP 4-5 months sometimes longer. Well just a update: Bob arrived in Chongqing on 9-28-14 and as of 9-27-14 no letter from NVC. Though Bob has been in China for a week now I'm almost sure there is mail waiting at his house from NVC. I would like to get this ball rolling again while he is in china. What is the best way to contact NVC. Phone call? or Email?
  10. Was it Oasis that rejected the letter, or the consulate? You might try a different visa service, or going to the consulate yourself. We often find that the visa service is more restrictive than the consulate would be. We rarely hear of anyone's invitation letter being rejected - there are many forms available on the Internet. Some services have required hand-written letters, or even postmarks from within China, although it's unclear which requirements are set by the visa services and which are actually required by the consulate(s). I just when down this road a few months ago for bob. We also used a form from online and it too was rejected. All invitations letters MUST be hand written from now on. We always use Oasis and was told that it must be hand written or the consulate will reject it.
  11. Sorry, I meant Catfished... People who pretend to be someone who they aren't online. Usually for purposes of fraud (i.e. obtaining money etc....)) http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=catfished Sorry about my quick reply with the misspelling. I believe that all of us men here at CFL have been around this block once maybe more and all have an opinion about your question. Here's mine... US dating sites like Match.com, eHarmony etc are typically Americans (westerners) looking for an American mate or date. If your wife's cousin is fluent in both written and spoken English, I would suggest that she join any of these sites. I would not recommend her joining if she uses a translator service to read, write and catch someone for her. Those who use those services usually do so through Chinalovelinks.com, AsianFriendFinders or any number of sites that try to hook up an Asian woman with a western man through any means possible. If money is an issue for her, some sites give price breaks to the ladies. You should know that your wife's cousin and millions of other Chinese women are looking for the same goal. The competition is truly unreal. There really is no simple one answer fits all to the OPs question. A little more information would help as to her age, children status, and English literacy might help giving a more appropriate answer too. Dennis remember good old Smiling Asia (Eunice). She made many a statement on finding a good Western guy on the net was like hitting the lottery. Thomas/Dennis: Yes, Eunice made MANY!! good statements here on CFL. I remember those days back when we all were going down this long visa road. Oh!! The memory's of the old days?
  12. Thanks guys. Bob will be flying on Air China CA986 from SFO to PEK. Then with the same flight number CA986 PEK To Chongqing I checked on Flightaware for his flight CA986. There are daily flights from SFO to PEK all flight arrived at T3. His flight from PEK to Chongqing is also in T3. So just to make sure i called the Air China. They comfirmed arrival and depart from T3
  13. OK, The deal is my buddy (Bob) will be going to Chongqing this month on the 28th to visit his wife. The problem is he is not the sharpest tack in the pack and get lost in a paper bag. Here is his flight plane. Cleveland to San Francisco: San Francisco to Beijing: Beijing to Chongqing: As i said before, He gets lost in a paper bag. I already have a map for him for transfers from domestic to international for San Francisco to Beijing. (I also have a map of Beijing airport) The problem is that i/we do not know what terminal he will arrive at in Beijing and what terminal he needs to transfer to for the domestic trip to Chongqing. The question i have is: What terminal will Bob arrive in (Beijing) from the U.S. and what terminal will he need to go to for domestic flight to Chongqing?
  14. We use Vonage World. 27.99$ and month. The wife is on the phone to china every Saturday and Sunday ALL day and our bill has never changed during the 8 years we've had it.
  15. Ok This is just going to fast for some reason. Bob just called me and said he received the hard copy of the NOA2 in the mail today. So all with in one day (Today) we received email of approval of I-130 and snail mail of I-130 approval. Now for some reason that i did not know of. Bob tells me that he sent 3 letters to his congressman (I say WTF you do that for!!) i have no idea if this helped or hurt there case. I told him NEVER do that again!
  16. Well maybe I'm wrong and not reading the email correctly we just received today? also received one for step son. Could this be the NOA2? If so this has to be a record for approval from NOA1 to NOA2 (36 Days) Sounds like an approval. I think my wife's I-129F was a record back when I did it, it was less than 30 days. Anyway, wait a week or so, and then contact NVC using the EAC# along with Name and DOB of benificiary, they should give you the GUZ numbers. At that point have your friend's spouse do a DS-261 on line, and then proceed on with electronic processing at NVC. http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/approved/contact.html Make sure you follow the steps regarding sending I-864 and documents via email, not snail-mail this should trigger electronic processing. http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/Submit_documents.html Thanks Dan. Though this is good news and a bit surprising. From here, What kink of time line are we looking at now?

  24. Well i hope everyone had a wonderful and safe holiday. I thought i would share our weekend (Sunday) As we all know there have been many government cut backs and this includes air shows. Well after many years of these cut backs finally we got some luck. The Cleveland Air show is back. I had been watching there web site for many month just to get the best tickets. The day had come and i jumped on them tickets about three months ago and i got box seats in the front row. Now the hard part come into play, for i needed to keep this a surprise for hong. I needed to hide the tickets so i figured the best place was in my gun safe?? So last Saturday night during dinner i told her we are going to Cleveland early in the morning. She say WHY??? Don't worry this is going to be one of the best days of your life. Now I'm not sure about any of the other wife's here on candle but hong has never seen, heard, smelled or even touched a air plain in her life. In fact she had never been on a plain until her interview in GZ. Let alone anything military (Has only seen them on TV) So Sunday morning we get up early get our coffee and head out to Cleveland (It's just a 30min drive) and during the entire time she is asking why we go to Cleveland. I'm trying best not to spoil the news and i just say again, This will be one of the best days of your life. We pull into the lake front airport and there are plains of all makes and models. from old to new lined up in the infield. If you could think of it they had it. Once she seen the plains i almost had to hod her down for the fact she wanted out of the car even before we found our parking spot. Of course the first thing she see's??? The Blue Angles. So with that being said and no more writing, It's time for photos. (I also have video but it is recorded in HD and may have to convert it so i can upload to you tube) hopefully I'll post video soon. Blue Angles Again the Blue Angles And the same United 737 engine.
