I just filed for a Q2 visa for my buddy about two weeks ago. I requested 24 month multible visits with 180 day stay. One week later he recieved his visa. Q2: 24 month multible visits with 180 day stay is listed on visa. Documents sent: invite letter (Has to be hand writen now)copy of letter writer's ID card.copy of wife passport.copy of our marriage certificate. I used Oasis China Visa

I would caution anyone whose spouse has a green card or citizenship and still has their hukou registration to MAKE SURE OF WHAT THEY'RE DOING before canceling their hukou. That is, make sure that it actually is required. What i don't understand is why would one want to cancel the hukou in the first place? Second, Is this going to cause problems anytime my wife and I decide to visit her family in Chongqing. My wife only has 10 GC and still has hukou book.

Maybe you should alert the DHS and explain how you've got this all figured out. I know you had an extra long road to getting the visa/GC for your family - I have been here long enough to know that - because you mention it often. I can't blame you for starting the diatribe against people with college degrees but you went off on that one, too. So, DHS people can't do their job, and college degrees are way over-rated because you know some people who made a lot of money without one. Do you really think your experience is the same for everybody? Do you think really think people who can't think beyond kindergarten level not only work at DHS but are running the show? Do you really think that? I doubt it. So why do you push that view into so many threads on this forum? I think people deserve the benefit of the doubt that they are professional and most of them are trying hard to do their job right. Because those people are you and me and are families and friends. Kyle, I think this is evidence of the dumbing down of America that started when they passed the laws that everyone would graduate high school. Whoever wrote this up for the our Department Homeland Insecurity jackals probably graduated high school at the 5th grade level. And, he probably got a few gold stars by his name for writing it up. It says we can use our passport as US citizens, or green cards as LPR's. Yep! being in America has changed her for sure. My wife has done the same. She has learned being in America buying cheap (as they do in china) does not pay off in America. You get what you pay for. Go with it man and spend the money while you can.

Yes, We Checked the short term (Less than 180 days) though the online application does not state any option other than tourist-L or other. This is where i get confused what to enter.

Everyone will be going a vacation for 5 weeks or? how ever long they like. They know the problem will still be there when they get back. Travel visa time. My buddy Bob is going back to China to visit his wife and needs a new visa. We always use Oasis China Visa While filling out the visa application form (PDF version) part 2: 2.1 (travel information) it lists many visa types. it will only let you select one option. We selected (Sort-term visit to Chinese citizen or foreigner with Chinese permanent residence status) Then you must Apply online You fill out all the basic info and then you get to where it asks visa type. It lists many different visa types (one being tourist visa-L) and at the bottom of the drop down list it also has other. There is no choice for the Q1-Q2 visa. My question is: On the apply online form do we select other or the tourist visa-L

This IS the address the ITIN aplication was sent to in the first place. ITIN was issued and notice of this was sent to us. Then all tax papers sent back to Bob stating no ITIN was received with tax forms and to refile. There was indeed a ITIN number because they (THE IRS) intered the number on his tax return and attached a copy of ITIN) Everything was redone and resent again as they wanted and still 3 month later nothing. And to make things more confusing Bob tells me he just received Another ITIN in the mail yesterday. Though it has the same number as the first the notice date is different.

If he is applying for a NEW ITIN (which I THOUGHT was the case), it should have been mailed to the address on the ITIN form, NOT to the regular IRS tax form mailing address. ITIN stands for Individual Taxpayer Identification Number - it looks EXACTLY like an SS number. Does he have this number ON THE TAX FORMS? or did he mail ALL tax forms INCLUDING the ITIN application to the address for the ITIN? Yes this is the case. The ITIN was entered on the tax form and forwarded to the correct office. AGAIN! two times now Back in 06 when i did this for my wife we had no problems, were doing the same as then. The way it looks now the IRS can't read plain english and 4 grand is ???????????????? maybe gone? Bottom line now! Need to speak to a live operator, Someone that is breathing and living. No, push 1 for english and so on we all been down this road before. Is this what our government has come to? Robots? no live operators?

Well here it is today 07/29/2014 and Bob has not received his refund from the IRS. Just to bring everyone up to speed. Lets go back to 04/14/2014 Filed 1040ez with a ITIN aplication for his wife. (Married filing jointly) Packet was sent out on this day. 4 weeks latter we get ITIN issued (Received copy of ITIN in mail) and packet and all tax forms forwarded to the refund office. 3 weeks latter packet with all tax forms returned with a RFE stating no ITIN received from the ITIN division. Though there WAS/IS a copy of the ITIN included in this packet that was forwarded. So long story some stupid ass at the IRS can't read or look through all the papers to see there IS a ITIN form included. So knowing the people were dealing with, WE send them what they want. Again!! AS for State taxes, No problem, We send them the state forms with a copy of the ITIN. Refund received no problem. So now here we are 07/29/2014 and no refund. Go to irs.gov Where is my refund. Enter info, Nothing. It only says (We can not provide any info on your refund at this time) So not were not giving up now. Tried to call every number we could fine to get a LIVE PERSON ON THE PHONE!! at the IRS Well, Push 1 for english. Push 2 for refund status. You know the drill and of course no option to talk to a live person to ask a simple question. I'm so pissed off at this moment i already chucked one phone out our second story window because the battery died trying to get some one on the phone. It's no wonder out fu...k up country is ....................................? Never mind, Just going on a long over due rant. OK...... Take a breath mike..... Relax and breath........... My question: Is there a number that i/we could talk to a live and living person at the IRS only to ask what is going on with this return? It's hard to believe we just sent out there I-130 packet yesterday and now we will deal with more stupid brainless asses and i ask myself why?????? just amazing our world has come to this, America The Stupid. I have been following this thread for some time now and as many members here have given good advise. But as the OP stated. I agree with what Carl said here. DO you have any idea what this could do to her?? Carl pretty much summed it up. On the other hand, Lets put our self in her shoes for a moment. As Carl said: She packs up everything she can in maybe two maybe three suit bags. The rest, She sells or give to family members and this include the house she lives in today. All the rest is GONE!!! forever and never to be had again. She now gets on the plane and with all the layovers and all the time she will have traveled (22-25 hours) I'm not sure if you have been down this road before BUT! i do know and many here will agree with me that a Chinese woman after been traveling for that much time is NOT a happy camper. You may think she will be tired and just wants to sleep when she gets to your home, WRONG!! She will do a walk though the house and the rearranging begins. Well folks here we go. The I-130 IR1/IR2 journey has begun. Papers where sent out today and USCIS will have them Thursday (This week) Hard to believe I'm going down this road again. For the ones that have been following my other threads you all know why I'm doing this. Now it's just a matter of time with the hoops to jump through and the tears that will flow. You are correct on your first point. As for getting fixed soon enough, obviously any failure and downtime on a system like this one is not acceptable. For that reason, substantial companies in the private sector deploy redundancies and backups that prevent this kind of problem for occurring. People get fired and are held accountable in the private sector. Some of the American public is trained to accept less from the government than they would from their local bank or major shopping website. You bring some good point, But were talking about the government we live in today's world where e-mails are gone like a fart in the wind. hard drives, like magic just vanish in thin air. Who lost there jobs??? No one did and or will. We live in there world and do as they say.

I don't think CGI nor Lois Learner have anything to do with this one. I also understand there is no G-325a for stepson. Question 1: Where do i attached the passport photo for stepson? or is it needed? Question 2: do we sent BOTH petitions together in the same packet?
