  1. While on your honeymoon, it's not a good idea to leave after entry. A glass of champagne and maybe a ciggarette before re-entry should be OK.
  2. Yep! I guess some have forgotten the "mission". She chose to go to a country that looks stupid in the world's eyes. She is very brave. I just hope she is going to a Chinese place that is friendly to Chinese.
  3. If she can put together a PP presentation with music, she must be far ahead of her class. Next stop SATs.
  4. Or, for a long term investment. May want to try seeds if you're in the right part of the country. http://www.tradewindsfruit.com/order.htm http://www.tradewindsfruit.com/order_vegetables.htm

  10. They must have reviewed his school records and determined he was far more advanced then the lazy American 10 year olds. They will have to turn American kids around first.
  11. My wife took over the computer a year ago. Good luck.

  14. While this could be good news, it certainly sounds like something out-of-the-ordinary is going on. Patrick, is it true that you've been waiting two years for a fingerprint approval? Were you ever notified that your petition would be delayed for a suspected hit on the fingerprints? Despite the need for all of us to reach for optimism, this indeed sounds very unusual... They state that "processing on the case continues." That review of the fingerprints is completed; what are the findings? Patrick and Li's case is rather unique. Therefore, a rather unique response from the USCIS is only fitting. It seems more plausable that something was "lost" and has just been "found", allowing the case to continue. As for the new verbage; maybe it was the elections. Keep us informed.
  15. We've had a similar change also: Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS Current Status: Response to request for evidence received, and case processing has resumed. On January 20, 2006, we received your response to our request for evidence. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. You should expect to receive a written decision or written update within 60 days of the date we received your response unless fingerprint processing or an interview are standard parts of case processing and have not yet been completed, in which case you can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. This case is at our MISSOURI SERVICE CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.
  16. That's where the crew of the US spy plane stayed. Some idiots said they were being held hostage.
  17. If I see a hotel on CTRIP I also try to cross reference it with other hotel guides and google it for reviews. I do spend a lot of time planning; too much from my wife's point of view. She thinks I worry too much.
  18. Way to go! That first job is critical to begin a job history in the US. A good reference here can be a spring board to bigger and better offerings in the future. My thoughts exactly. I've told her she should be prepared to be turned down but make the most of the interview experience. So this is a good win situation for her. I've had this nightmare vision of her pushing a Dim Sum cart and enjoying it.
  19. My wife received a job offer as a teaching assistant with the SF City College, ESL program, at the end of this semester. Seems she is the top student.
  20. Also not good for us who like to travel to other countries as we may become victims of retaliation.

  23. Chinese tend to do things at what "we" may percive as the "last minute". And yes; the Chinese government is more efficient then the US. This is especially true when you throw in a few extra bucks. B)
