My wife is currently going to school at SF city college and works part time as a teachers aid. Now and then she will do a project for one of her clients in GZ (desktop publishing). Her goal is to work fulltime in a well paying job. I have mentioned this before but I will state again. We are very fortunate to live in the SF Bay Area. It has been great for my wife's adjustment.

What if one of the parents doesn't speak chinese, healthy ? It's relative. If your relatives speak funny, people will laugh and hopefully you will too. My opinion is based on one of my friends who came here from HK when she was 10 and had parents who spoke no English. Here in the SF bay area it is not uncommon for kids to study in both languages.

Prediction: The kid will grow up just fine. She will speak Chinese at home and English outside of the home.

We had a small invasion of flys this weekend, about 20. Wife says "outside flys OK", "inside flys must be killed". Once the fly comes in the house, the death warrent is signed. I can't let it out as it must be killed. My technique? Wait until it gets dark, turn off all of the lights except for the bathroom. When the fly goes into the bathroom I close the door, grab a can of Lysol and give it a quick spray. I then take a tissue and pick up the dazed fly and flush it down the toilet. All nice and clean. Wife is very proud of me. She says I am expert fly killer.

Saturday night, sisters are not on QQ. Called GZ. Middle sister reports she is not on QQ because they are having a western style toilet installed in the bathroom. Must be a big day. B)
