One of our old membeers had the same problem with the EAD. If it nhas taken longer than 90 days you can get an info pass and they must give you the EAD. You can do a search and find out the particulars-The member was frank???? Four number after Frank 58?/ Something I think.

Check is fine just be sure to read the instructions on how to make it out--no abbreviations. Also, be sure to include biometrics fee.

So did we. I don't believe it's a requirement. Just have a copy of the marriage certificate ready in case. Ditto--the GC and passport names do not have to match-just bring the marriage cert to show why. The tickets need to match the passport.

I've got one (my chinese stepdaughter) going into college in August. FAFSA is not effected by citizen vs. LPR--but she was not eligible anyway as she gets $10,500.00 from the VA and $4,000.00 from the TN lottery for college and I make too much $$.--She won't be a starving student!

Same thing happened to me-wifey and stepdaughter applied at the same time for the GC- Interviewed together but USCIS made a mistake and stepdaughters GC was held up 5 months. Thier mistake cost me $465.00--they did not say 'oops, sorry'!!!

If my wife and stepdaughter are going for the permanent green card, do they need to do the biometrics again? They did that when they received the 2 year card. Yup!! They will need biometrics again!

You can add your step daughter on the application. However, USCIS might miss it, as they did my step daughter. I had to call 4-5 times to get her name in their computer. Put her on the form and attach necessary paperwork and a cover letter stating that wife and daughter are applying together. You will only pay one application fee but will need to include TWO checks for biometrics-one for the wife and one for the daughter + the check for wife¡¯s application.

A friend's SO has an appointment for May 5 for her interview. She has not done the med stuff yet and next Thursday, Friday....until Monday are holidays. Sooo, anyone know which HSP in GUZ has next day service?? Dose she need an appointment or can she walk in?? What¡¯s the latest she can go there and have everything done and sealed by Wednesday?? Same here--Xray never asked for. The yellow book can be gotten from her local Hsp--cheaper than going to GUZ.

You can her new name added to the passport at the chinese consulate. Can you do this by mail or an agency? any suggestions It is not a problem. My wife has traveled to China twice since her name change. She brought the marriage cert with her but never needed it. It is best to book the tickets using the name on her passport-but not necessary. Once ion China it is a simple thing to change her passport. They don't really change it, they add a page with her new name so she can fly using either name. Once again, bring the proof of a name change-wedding license just in case--but you will likely never need it.

We got the same thing-transferred from TSC to VSC and the I-797C said the same your did. It was sent to TSC last April and then transferred to VSC in November--Still waiting!

Wifey returned from china February. Her GC expired last May. She had the extension letter with her but was never asked for it. Maybe they were glad to be rid of her but that doesn't explain why they let her back in the US.

Andy Even after you get the NOAs it will take them a while to put it in the computer. Usually sometime after you get the notice to go for biometrics. You really don't need to register for email notification, you can just use the on line case search and type in your receipt number. I used the email notification but I got the snail mail before they bothered to email me. It's the gov--they don't need to make sense!!

Yup, they will send it someplace else but if you send it someplace else they will send it back to you for sending someplace else and not sending it to the place they said you should send it to when you sent it. Then they will make you send it to them again but not to the place you sent it before so they can send it someplace else, like you sent it the first time, instead of you sending it someplace else. It's simple Gov logic!! GOT IT??

Gheeez, wifey's removal of conditions was sent to Texas April 22 2007. In September of 07 they were doing April stuff-October they moved all the way to April, November they got to April 11. Then in December they sent ours to Vermont where it was March of 07 and now it's February of 07. At this rate her 10 year green card will expire before she gets it. Gotta love the gov!!!1

Did wifey have any cardboard boxes also? Not this time but she did have 3 oversize suitcases, I huge canvas sack, a back pack, a fanny pack, a belt pack, an enormouse purse, a laptop and two carry-ons, one for her and the other one, the small one, was where all my stuff was.
