Yup! Can't get the medical done before package 4. Coz they will ask for the appointment letter... You could either get your medical done in Beijing or save yourself a trip and have it done in Guangzhou.

Of course you get a name check, no one wishes you to feel cheated by not having one of these in your file. You are approved pending the outcome of the name check, that is if they can find your paperwork when the other paperwork comes back and remember they said they would send you a green card. Just makes you want to love the system of government workers everywhere. She said I should recieve the greencard couple days after the fingerprint... And now that you metioned... she does seem to be in a hurry to push us out when I trying to ask how long exectly couple days are?

i would call CIS and check on the status or see if they can request a status from your district. If GC doesn't seem to happening, then maybe apply for a AP? I could be wrong...

You guys just freak me out! I am totally lost now... On my interview... the lady said that my Biometrics was waved since I didn't recieve any appointment letter... and then she told me to do another fingerprint in portland,or (My interview was at seattle). So, does that mean I am approved? Or I will expect the "name check"?

Good point! I've got my little contribution here: Why do we have to wait forever and they can't just wait 60 seconds on phone... How come after I file the change of address properly, they still manage to ignore my new address? I still and always believe that most cases are pre-viewed and pre-decided... Well... the interview is just a chance to those VOs to use their six sense... which doesn't make sense at all...

Still... for some reason think that everyone is previewed and pre-decided somehow...

If you could, never ever change your address during the process. First time we did so we got our case denied and this time, even tho we follow the proper rules and recieved a return mail from CIS, we still seem to get our case lost! When you change your address... make 1000% sure that EVERY department that you need to go through has got that piece of information.

It does work and give you another way to check when is your p4 on it's way. It's a cheap and very affective one in this case. But I highly doubt it has anything to do with speed up the case.

If your case has been sent to GZ, call DOS and get info you need to check with DHL... such as when did they send it and call DHL to track every package. Once all the package that sent on that day has been cleared custom, you can expect your package 3 in about a week.

If you are talking about interview, I suggest you put all paper work into a clear folder. As for the pictures you can either use a printer to printer them or printer them in the shop and put into an album.

If she is thinking about going to school or invite her parents over, you defently want to get another set IMO. Just check with my appointment letter, says: I will bring one official coty with me.

Had to deal with the same situation for my K1 visa a year ago. We didnt recieve RFE bcoz Steve has reloaded to another state. If you have changed your address, you should inform them. Unfortunately, as we found out later that appearl will be more difficult then re-file, I am not sure about AOS tho. You might want to call CIS and get contact from there first.

You have to get a co-sponor. period.
