  1. I think Ford has had something similar in Argentina, or Brazil. Ford didn't want to sell it in the US because they are of the opinion that nobody will buy any.
  2. Sure he can say whatever he wants, but as has been pointed out, he has a job to do which is fairly well defined. It's not his job to act as a judge of who is compatible. Which is the other reason that he claims that he doesn't marry mixed couples. Perhaps the divorce rate is higher in these relationships. Perhaps it is not. But to use that as another excuse to not marry people when that's your job, is another crock of crap that he is dishing out.
  3. Is he against all interracial marriages? That would be bad. If for nothing else how can he say where the race line is, thus allowing any marriage? Is he against certain interracial marriages? That may be bad. ¡¡probably is racial. Is he against the town idiot making another dumb decision? That may be OK; official elected by the town/city knows the people, media is incapable of reporting all pertinent details. I could be wrong Yes, you could be. This JotP is a liar. He says "I try to treat everyone equally," he said. Unless they are a mixed couple then he doesn't. He claims that he does it because he wants to protect the children. What a crock of sh1t.
  4. I doubt it but I would like to see it. Many years ago, an airline was gonna go out of business, and it was bought out by the employees. At that point the employees had a reason to make sure that people enjoyed flying on that airline, so that they would fly on it again. I think that is one way, and no I'm not suggesting that the workers control the means of production...
  5. It would be nice if they could recall their crappy headlights...
  6. That's a pretty good one, but I like the Cornell pages. http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/4/usc_sup_01_4_10_1.html It's crazy to see some of the insanity, and incorrect displays, even in government. http://www.ushistory.org/betsy/wallofshame.htm
  7. I didn't see anyone catching it. It wasn't as bad as when I was sitting in a restaurant and the Miss Budweiser people come in with their leather jackets with the flag as the pattern. I just about had an aneurysm! But yeah, better than a snowball!
  8. Makes sense. China most likely has the best internal economy for the current time. The comment that most of the people on the list are party members is somewhat odd, and I'm sure it's to promote a view of favoritism for party members. However, if a similar list was made of the US billionaires and it was mentioned that most were of a certain political party, would that also indicate favoritism? Now I'm not denying anything, but it just seems like a comment put in to put a dig against those that have most likely worked hard for it, just because of one factor. Of course it was just about the same with Japan in the eighties, when the richest men in the world(IIRC) were two old Japanese guys that owned huge amounts of land in Tokyo.
  9. While it must have been a great spectacle, I knew they would fail at the end. United States Code Title 4 Chapter 1 ¡ì 8 ( b ) Sorry, but few things get me riled up like this does.
  10. Any more info on this? I tried Googling, but nothing seems to come up that is relevant.
  11. Ask him if he has be to a performance driving school, if he thinks that he is good enough?
  12. Rock on man! Rock on! Hope you have a great time!
  13. Congratulations! As a side note, I thought you meant McCloud had come to the rescue...
  14. I'm also guessing that there is a bit of the little emperor syndrome here, and as he is in his twenties it might be more difficult to deal with. However, chengdu4me has a good point about the meeting.
  15. Sounds like there are already some issues going on. However, this young one is certainly blind to the ways of the world! Sure hope he understands, but I'm sure he shortly will understand what he has done.
  16. There is a family run chain of Italian restaurants called Buca di Beppo. They had a pizza that had mashed potatoes instead of tomato sauce. Boy oh boy was it good! Another thing that can set you apart from the competition is what you offer in addition to the pizza. If you find my Carls Jr post, you might notice what differentiated Carls from the other burger places, and mayhap you can apply that to your pizzeria. There is a local pizza chain called The Rock Wood Fired Pizza, and they have a rock and roll theme. You can check them out at http://therockwfp.com/ and see how they have set up their restaurants.
  17. I wouldn't call it a man either!

    One Year Ago Today

That chart is just tracking from one even that has been picked as the start of the meltdown. I've seen the economy slowing for the last four years, so I could pick any point from data that is posted at work on port volume.
  19. While concern for family is very high in asian cultures, I think this young lady is stuck more in a bad situation than anything else.
  20. That's great that you were able to overcome all of the obstacles! Congratulations indeed!
