You are right A Mafan, but when one considers the difference between being captured by a officer and being deported from the country, and being captured by an officer and being extradited to another country, it is a pretty small difference. Either way, they're outta heeeere!

A friend from High School is in a Federal program where they track foreign criminals living in the US, and go and grab them in the morning. They are extradited to their home country shortly there after, with a case officer or two escorting the deportee. I would say it's more than a few.

Well, it looks like she didn't play the game right, and now her family is going to suffer for it. Unless she skips out, and starts again.

While she may not have filed taxes, I'm sure her employers were deducting them. To me this is the crux of the matter. Did she not file because she knew she wasn't legit, or because she didn't owe? If it's the first, then send her packing. If it's the second, on this matter I'd give her the benifit of the doubt. But still.... unless the deductions were spot on, she would either owe, or be owed a refund. If she knew she wasn't legit, why didn't she take care of it with in the last six years? It's not like forgetting to take out the trash! It's her whole life in the balance of playing a stupid game with her citizenship. So, while I am sympathetic to anyone trying to gain lawful entry/citizenship into any country, I just can't see how she allowed herself to get into this predicament. I would hate to see the situation that Larry mentioned about having her child taken away(which is a really stupid idea! ) if she is deported.

Either that, or if you fail in your tasks, your eggs will be angry! Just make sure that the pan isn't upset!

With all the things I have been reading in the last week, I'm wondering if maybe they lost some paperwork? I know it wouldn't be the first time an immigration office lost paperwork.

Something I was just pondering this morning is getting a pay as you go phone from a local vendor. My cell phone is a T-Mobile ToGo phone and it has no roaming fees. Although I think international calls are a bit more per minute than domestic calls. [edit] Ok, maybe a bad iDea. T-Mobiles rate for calling China is almost two bucks a minute. And with international roaming added on top of that for someone calling from there! So I would imagine that other carriers would be similarly bad.[/edit]

Yes, Chinese Age is quite an odd thing, and I couldn't understand how a woman who was four days younger than I am could be a year older!?
