I gave up on paying for cable a few years ago. However I was really addicted to my ReplayTV DVR! Now I just have a dead coax cable hooked up to the antenna lead. High speed internet is a better value for watching shows I like, and if I really like a show I can see about picking up a box set nice and cheap on eBay, or even at the library. SC

I'll put in a recommendation for the Subaru Tribeca. It sits up higher like regular SUV so you might find it to be more comfortable to deal with than the Forester. If you are allowed to consider a used one, the earlier Tribecas had transmission problems, but I hear that was resolved a year to two ago.

Docs like to pull the plug as soon as they can - they can't feel what you do. I like to keep some pain pills around and always keep a few whenever I get a new prescription. That way, when something happens that takes more than IB, I have a few to get over the hump without a trip to the vet. My doc (who I've been going to for over 20 years) knows I have a stash - and it kinda pisses him off - but that's life. If he would call in a script without an office visit, I wouldn't feel the need to keep a stash. I only used two of the thirty vicadins I picked up when my finger got snipped in April. Plenty on supply for any other stupid things I might do at work.

Huishan Dairy is setting up a methane gas generator that should provide something in the neighborhood of 5.66 MWatts of power from a very renewable energy supply. From one article, that would be enough power to power 3500 American homes, so I wonder how many Chinese houses that will power? The side benefit might be that they will be able to cut carbon emissions by a staggering 180,000 tons, and produce over 600,000 tons of fertilizer. PopSci article.
