Wow this is an old thread for sure. It started nearly 6 years ago. I found in China that the people are sort of docile until you get on a train or a bus. There is a mad drive to get on a find a seat. Taking public tranportation system in China is not for the faint of heart. Ps I wonder how Mark 62 is getting along with his wife?

I know a lady who works for the food stamp program in my county. She told me that now 1,000s of professional people are now on the dole. She told me that food stamps are good as cash. You can parlay them for illicit drugs to prostitution.

This topic I am sure has been discussed before. My better half wants me now to see if I can find a mate for one of her friends now. I have met her good friend before in China. She seems very stable and good natured woman. She is 54 and her husband died last year of cancer. Her friend is well educated and will retire soon from her profession. She is hoping to meet a guy who she can share her life with. Her friend lives in Guangxi Province. How do you go about doing this so I do not offend anyone?

Yuri Gargarin was the cosmonaut. His entry as the 1st man into space set off the race to the moon proclaimed by President Kennedy before the decade was over. We made it to the moon on July 20, 1969. Ironically the Russians have never landed on the moon.

I have found that some American Joes go to China on just a hanful of e-mails and photographs of their beloved who is promising love and a dutiful wife. I met a guy in Dalian, he was there for the 1st time meeting his new gal. He told me that she seemed completely different in person then from here e-mails she sent to him. My wife told me that she was using a matchmaker and they will tell both parties what they want to hear to get them together as soon as possible and they get paid for their services. She said that many of Chinese ladies and Western men have had their hearts broken and possibly their lives ruined because of these unethical matchmakers.

My better half told me today that the Qingming festival starts today or Sweeping of the tombs. It it the Chinese way of honoring their past ancestors similar to our Memorial Day here in USA.
