Sure guys, come on. like a taxi is gonna be safer? ya right. Some people would pay up to $30 at an amusement park for that sort of thrill. Not in China though. Ni di na li? My wife says "don't look at the road, just look at me."

Should I delay my trip to China??
Mengxin replied to RJZ+JCW's topic in General Visa Discussion & First Steps
Yes, You will be notified by e-mail that an RFE is coming. In my case, I received the letter in the snail mail, two days after getting the e-mail. The e-mail only said the RFE was coming. Nothing else. I called USCIS right away to see if they could tell me over the phone. The lady could not even tell me what was wrong over the phone. I had to wait for the letter. When the letter came, it said I didn't prove that I was an American citizen . (Long story) A long with that, I found other mistakes my lawyer had made, that USCIS didn't ask me to correct. I wrote them a detailed letter of the other descrepancies I saw, and submitted suporting docs along with it. Fortunately, The problems were easily corrected. I got my NOA2, only a few weeks later. You may not need to come home, if you got somebody you can trust to cover your mail. Have them send it over e-mail. Tell them where to get what they need. -

Great description. I think I almost know the VO's personally for as many times that people have described them. I supposed I envisioned fangs and a long black cape, but everyone says there actually nice people. Except for maybe Carl and Alex ofcourse. -

A while back USCIS was open to critics also. It's good that they are at least willing to open themselves up for suggestion. -
Should I delay my trip to China??
Mengxin replied to RJZ+JCW's topic in General Visa Discussion & First Steps
I know exactly what your saying. My last trip cost me 4 weeks delay. That sucks, but on the other hand my company did flip the bill for the plane tix to see Lao Po also. Are you working in Shanghai or Beijing? It's easier to get around Shanghai, but both are fun places to be as long as you have a co-worker or your wife with you. If you are alone, go to where the westerners hangout. It helps to socialize a little. There isn't going to be a safe time to go when it comes to timing. Especially 2 to 3 months. It would also depend if you are K1 or K3 visa. The paperwork is handled differently. The timelines so far, have been pretty consistant. You should always know what paperwork to expect next. You have a couple months to go now before you need anything out of your file cabnet at home. If you have a friend or somebody you can trust to check your mail for you, you should be all right. When the paperwork arrives have them scan it to pdf and e-mail it to you. Save some time that way. Your boss sounds like mine. You are not alone in that department. Don't let yourself get too down either. You'll just make yourself more miserable and depressed, unless you can talk yourself out of it. You haven't left yet and your already bumbed out. not good. Try to keep it light. Good luck. -

Here we go again. Led Zepellen - Stairway to Heaven is the all time greatest. I did listen to Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd today. Sounded great. -
Feels better now that you sent the 864, doesn't it? I was sort of stressing about the info myself. Relieved the day I mailed it out.

http://www.rense.com/general19/secretreportAL.htm Check out this link. I wasn't sure to blow a gasket or burst out laughing. Secret Report Shows China Using Canada To Infiltrate US Report Obtained By 'Seeds Of Fire' Author Gordon Thomas From Carol Adler Canada is the launch-pad for a multi-billion dollar assault by The People's Republic of China (PRC) against the United States. A top-secret report reveals that "a dangerous consortium of Chinese triads, agents of the Chinese Secret Intelligence Service (CSIS), and Hong Kong tycoons has established itself in Canada. "They operate on several fronts. Smuggling heroin into Canada for shipment to the United States. Using Canada as a key in the lucrative human smuggling trade to Europe and the United States. By obtaining ownership of key companies in Canada, the PRC uses them to infiltrate the United States, says the report. "The original version of the report has been suppressed because of its far-reaching political, economic and military implications, says Gordon Thomas, author of Seeds of Fire: China and the Story Behind the Attack on America (Dandelion Books). "A watered-down version is beginning to circulate within senior Washington and Canadian circles. But a well-placed source in Canada's intelligence community has passed Thomas a copy of the original report. Revelations of its contents are bound to cause embarrassment within the Bush Administration as it prepares for the President's visit to Beijing and to the Canadian government. Codenamed "Sidewinder, the report is officially titled "Canadian Intelligence Services and Triads Financial Links in Canada. It was jointly prepared by Canada's Secret Intelligence Service and the National Security Division of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). Seeds of Fire details how both the CSIS and RCMP were involved in tracking China's theft of nuclear secrets from Los Alamos. Since the book's publication, Thomas has continued to monitor the activities of Chinese intelligence across North America. "The report shows the PRC has infiltrated Canadian society with a network of spies and organised crime figures. Many of them have Canadian nationality, making it easy for them to go to the United States, he writes. Confirmation of the explosive nature of the report has come from two senior Canadian investigators. One is Brian McAdam, an internationally renowned expert on Chinese Triads networks of professional criminals dating back to Imperial times. The other is Michel Juneau, a former high-ranking French-Canadian intelligence officer who has spent 21 years monitoring Chinese intelligence activities in the Asia-Pacific region. "As well as what the Sidewinder report states, both men confirm that China is using Canada as the prime base for world hegemony, beginning with the United States, says Thomas. Copies of the original "Sidewinder report were shredded. Those on disc were electronically destroyed. But a copy survived and was passed to Gordon Thomas. He says the document reveals: *Triads own one-third of downtown Vancouver. *China had invested over one billion dollars in 2001 to buy Canadian businesses in strategic areas. A number have links to U.S. corporations. *China is one of the largest stockholders 10 per cent in Canada's Imperial Bank. *China has "virtual control of 15 corporations in the country's technology sector. *China's Secret Intelligence Service has "established some 30 companies, fronted by Canadian nationals, for traditional and economic espionage purposes. These companies are used as cover for Chinese spies to get them into important business and political circles. *CIA and Canadian intelligence do not understand the "sinister nature of the elaborate networks established in Canada. But the original version of "Sidewinder was spiked after pressure from the business community in the U.S. who feared the revelations would lead to a backlash against China and so damage the thriving trade links President Bush hopes to encourage during his upcoming visit to Beijing. The joint Canadian intelligence team that prepared the original report was told by the Canadian Security Intelligence Review Committee that "the report was too extreme and given to scare mongering. They were ordered to give "a more favourable politically correct spin to the facts they present, Thomas has been told. "Sidewinder reveals that more than 200 Canadian companies and corporations are, in 2002, under the direct control of China's International Trust and Investment Corporation (ITIC). "It operates directly under the general staff of the People's Liberation Army (PLA). ITIC is the world's largest private operator of container terminals. It has lucrative stakes in 17 ports in Europe, including Rotterdam. These ports are directly implicated in the traffic of humans for the sex slave markets, for domestic slavery, for use as organ donors, reveals Thomas. In Seeds of Fire, Thomas has detailed how the U.S. has successfully "all but wiped out the memory of the massacre on Tiananmen Square by the PLA acting on the orders of the Chinese leadership. The book is now in its second large reprint and has been sold to over 40 countries. Its author has received wide critical acclaim for the investigative work behind his revelations. "The business links established in China by American business have directly led to China setting up operations on an unprecedented scale in Canada. But it is not only Canada that now faces a growing threat to its national security. It is the United States that is the prime target. Canada is just the Trojan Horse -- the womb for the enemy within to nourish itself for the growing penetration of the United States, says Thomas.

Ahhh, DS-230 part 2 is the interview questionare. The darn font on the DS-230 is too small, It will look better filled out by hand. The 8 pages of instructions tell me what Lao Po needs to bring with her to the interview. I never got an I-169, my websites I get my info from didn't meantion it. (That means I will definately need it then.) The dates of the letters on the two title pages of the packages I recieved are dated Jan 30th, 05 and Feb 15th 05. The 1/30 barcode sheet says attn:CMR and the 2/15 barcode sheet says Attn:DR. I am mailing 2 DS-230 part 1's to NH. Mr. CMR gave me a return envelope, but Mr. DR didn't. Dear, Mr. CMR and DR, You guys know I am only kidding, right? I love you guys, really. If you need me to mow your yard or wash your cars for you, just give me a call OK? Your friend forever, please help bring my wife home to me. Thankyou, Doug -

Oh shit, They did screw up worse on yours than mine. They sent you the "Non"-immigrant visa form. Send me your e-mail, I can zip copies of what they sent to me. That's just wrong if they make you wait another 6 weeks to fix their own mistake. I recieved a form that was english at the top and chinese at the bottom. It's called the "P3 supplimantal form." I just looked at my DS-230 part1 papers again. All the supporting docs say return the DS-230 part1 with the other stuff. No word specifically mentioning 230 part2. Nothing! So what about DS-230 Part2? Do we need it? When I tried to use the downloadable DS-230 form the font was too small to read. At least for Mr Magoo anyway. I am starting to think that this apearant act of stupidity, is really intentional. They are acting stupid to see if I am stupid. Ha, I win again. Here's what I got. In the 1st 230 package I recieved, 4 single pages and 8 pages stapled together with instructions for Immigrant Applicants. The 07' DS-230 part 1 was stapled to the end of the 8 pgs. of instructions. Of the 4 single pages I recieved... 1. Title page telling me to mail the 230 Part1 to NH. 2. The second page had contact information. "Enclosure" reads DS-230 part 1, Instructions for Immigrant Applicants, Barcode sheet, "other important enclosures" (if required). I like the "if required" at the end. It leaves the door open to screw it up. In the 2nd, 230 part 1, package I recieved a list of vaccination requirements, On the pages they say, "If" you have not filed the I-864, do it. "If you have not filed the DS-230 part 1, do it." I think they are trying to tell me that I was missing some documentation on the 1st 230 they recieved and need to mail it back to them. I never mailed the 230 to them the 1st time anyway. (If I don't mail it back? does that count as a screw up on my part? Who's keeping score of the screw ups? NVC has to have me by at least 10 right now. I am a 4th quarter kind of guy though. I can catch them or at least cover the spread. You can count on it. Interesting, I just saw this. http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/ty...types_1309.html NVC ROLE AND FORMS When an applicant's priority date is close to becoming current , NVC will send an Affidavit of Support (I-864 form) processing fee bill to the petitioner and an Agent of Choice and Address (DS-3032) form to the applicant. Once the I-864 processing fee is paid, NVC will send the I-864 forms and instructions to the petitioner. Once NVC receives the form DS-3032 from the applicant, NVC will mail the Immigrant Visa (IV) fee bill to the agent of choice. Once the IV fee bill is paid, NVC will send the Instruction Packet of forms and information to the agent. The exact contents of the Instruction Packet will depend on where the applicant will be interviewed for a visa. For instance, the Instruction Packet we send to people applying in China is different from the one we send to applicants in France. Information in the Instruction Packet that can currently be downloaded from this web site is listed below: (My priority date is 04Aug2004, why do I feel like I just got screwed again for some reason?) 04Aug2004 was only 7 months ago. I knew this was all France's fault. -
