F & L, That's funny. I got 2 part 1's and no part 2's... Seroiusly. One form expired 04', the other 07'. Take a look, and see if they did the same for yours? Our paperwork must be in the same stack of papers. They are trying to trick you into believing that you are stupid. You aren't! In reality, they have made it impossible for you to follow the directions. This is where my Naval Intelligence is paying off. It's an old dirty trick, but you have to wake up pretty early in the morning to slip one past me. I have a way of using my BS training, to benifit others. I am going to be sneaky about this, and slide them a copy of the web based form from there website. The I-864 docs said not too, but I am sort of wild and crazy. I'll just tell them, that I'm too stupid, then give them my stupid look. I don't even need to try that hard at it. Just comes naturally. They will feel so sorry for my wife, they will just give her the visa uncontested. Sort of like an "S" visa (sympathy).

I just got my DS-230 Part 1 yesterday, after I got back from my trip. Today I got another suprise to go along with it, another DS-230 Part 1. I got a notice from NVC, they recieved my application for an immigrant visa. They took 6 weeks to mail the application for immigrant visa to me after recieving the DS-230 bill. I got a notice they recieved it already, I haven't sent it to them yet. When I filled out my I-864 in Dec. they noted repeatedly to only use the DS-230 that they send to me. Only the original 230 that they mail me is valid. Now I get the DS-230 Part 1 again and it's another downloaded copy of the form off the web, even better, it's an expired copy (5/31/04). Nothing personal on it all. Just a part 1 printed on front and back and a few friendly reminders on about 6 pages telling me... "don't screw up... don't screw up...", again. The DS-230 Part 1 they sent me the 1st time expires 7/31/2007, the part 1, I got today says it expires 5/31/2004. I never got the DS-230 part2 from them. The "downloadable" and also "fillable" form in the website has 4 pages and 2 parts, all pages valid until 07'. There are no notices on the site telling me not to use the 230 on the web, but I got a letter telling me they needed the original from them. I never recieved a return envelope with my 1st DS-230 Part1, but I did get a return envelope with the version expiring in 04'. Mark, Why worry,? Just tell the embassy that your wife ate her visa. Bloated tummys are always a sure symptoms of dirty toilet seats and under cooked visa's.

Dude, The NVC and USCIS websites are all screwed up. The procedures on the website are garbage. Your right behind me. Get the app. fill it out and send it back. I stalled because I tried to figure out what the heck they meant too. Don't stall. Don't think too hard. 3 years taxes w/w2's and a signed page 6 in front of a Notary. Mail it!!! You'll be getting the bill for the ds-230 soon. ($335 money order.) Mail it back and wait another 6 weeks. The information you will recieve in the package conflicts with the info on the website. After the CR1 heads to GZ I believe your looking at between 100 to 200 days. Hopefully only 100.

Check out the CR-1 procedure in my signature. The procedure is spelled out pretty clearly. Good luck.

Johns, You need to fill out pg. 6 infront of a Notary. If you are below the poverty line, then you need to ask Mom and Dad to cover you on the 864A also. 864A isn't nesecary aabove the line. The form can be confusing.

Last year was a record cold year in zhanjiang. This year look almost the same. TN is better than chicago but we have four seasons. Todd, You are going to need to sign page 6 of the 864 infront of a public notary before you mail it in. After the DS3032 and I-864 is the DS230. I mailed the 230 Visa bill a while back. Still ain't got squat back yet. 6 weeks time to get a bill and then put an application in the mail??? Oh yea, that's understandable... Be pacient man (not like me), and welcome to CFL.

If my wife's coming to the US was dependant on my abilty to speak chinese (or spelling in english), I have got some big time problems, cause I'm not fooling anybody with my mandarin skills. They are improving slowly however. The reason for the video is a no brainer. Basic foundation of a good marriage, work enviroment or anything else that requires more than one person is good communication. I think it's safe to say that with good communication skills, things can only get better. As far as the gov is concerned, "Seeing is believeing." Your right! That was a stupid question.
