  1. yea, now yer talkin' , let's go kick some butt! I thought about that woman, what it would be like to be in her shoes right now. Not only the fact about the &%$#%^., but she also lost her husband that she counted on and trusted as well. I wouldn't blame her if she didn't want to stay here in the US either. Her hopes, dreams and heart have all been shattered now. Only time can heal this pain she must be feeling.
  2. Always happy to hear good news like this. Congratulations.http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/emoticons6/36.gif
  3. Can you post the story? Ok , I take that back. Sorry, I just saw John's link. Cut that guys nuts off then. I donate the scissors. It's very sad to read about that, even with a previous conviction.
  4. This same article falls inline with my posts from last weekend. How can anyone be to blame in a case like this? The man is still innocent until proven guilty. Everyone here is already assuming he's guilty already without looking at the facts. No way would I ever support or defend those actions he's being accused of, but to immediately judge him and then hang him without hearing his side isn't any good either. He might be having arguments with that little girl, they might not get along very well and she hates him. So she lies to get him in trouble and thrown in jail. YOU DON'T KNOW! The immediate perception people may have of us from CFL (because of the articles like this one) is that our love is illegitimate. "Like, We have another lurking reason for wanting to be with us." People don't want to know and don't care to know what our story is. "You have seen one, you've seen them all." That's how people think. "Get a wife from America, it's not my problem your all a bunch of desperate weirdo’s." "You love your wife to make her a sex slave and her little girl too." If you think that people don't jump to those conclusions, then go back and read this thread as an example. Everyone has jumped to conclusions without the facts. He may be innocent. I hope he is innocent and that he didn't really do it. If he did, then cut his nuts off and throw him in the pen. He'll find plenty of sex in there. As far as this case is also concerned, look at Catholic Priests. They used to be holy and honorable. Now they are referred as child molesters and the brunt of many jokes dealing with sex with little boys. Are they all like that? No. Are the ones that were accused all guilty? Probably not. Are they all suspected of molesting children? Definitely!!! Anytime I see a reverend, Jesus isn't the 1st thought that pops in my head. Is he guilty of child molestation? That's my 1st thought. To blame INS, NVC the cops or anybody is foolish and unfair. It takes only 1 "awe shit" to erase 1000 "atta boys". Do you want your wives and fiancées to be judged from a 15-minute interview, when the immigration officers have this perception or your loved ones are being challenged for fraud? Then she gets rejected because the perception of her is that she is a fraud or she's going to be the victim? I can imagine the pain like Carl and Alex must have felt. Think about this for a minute. This man could be anyone of us from Candle? Yahoos and Congratulations all around for him. What if the man was a moderator or a respectable member of this board? We don't know! I can tell you, all of us on the board take a beating in one way or another for stories like this, regardless whether they are true or not. I searched for this article Bruce. I couldn't find it. I know your not making it up, but out of curiosity I would like to know where you got the story from. I searched a good 30 minutes at least and couldn't find it. I even checked the Danville, NH police blotters. I did searches on Yahoo and Google to look for the article and came up with molestation cases with Chinese children but the closest I could find was a case from Danville, CA and a case from Illinois. 72 yr old man and 15 yr old girl. NOTHING that included any of the details of your story. I used these websites to find the article www.yahoo.com www.google.com Key search words Child AND molester AND Chinese AND Danville, NH AND News http://police.townofdanville.org/community.htm
  5. I subscribe to that too. Good stuff in there, most of the time.
  6. Yup, That would be the 3032. They say that specifically. Without this from you, you don't get this from us. I will be getting the 230 probably next week sometime. I'll be ready. Thanks for your replies guys,
  7. PAL-Procrastinators Anamous Leader. Being the procratinator that I am (slacking on the 864), I need to know if I'm thinking correctly. Knowing (I guess) that the P3 package consists of the 864 and the 230, I can afford to slack on the 864 without feeling guilty about. I can send them both in seperately but, since my 230 is a month behind my 864 would it be better to mail them in together as a real package. I'm expecting the 230 any day (...or week, or even month) now. Then I just thought to myself this morning..."what if they are waiting for me to send them the 864 1st?" I have the 864 "almost ready" to "put it in the mail tommorrow." favorte lines of a hardcore slacker. My excuse is that I've been busy with work. (Yea right, Like I am the only busy and hard working person at CFL.) There, I slammed myself so you don't have to. I'll complain up and down about how slow the gov is, but never mind me. I just feel happier when I have something to bitch about. Nothing to bitch about? I'll find something. I already know I'll take a lashing from some of you, but aside from the obvious that I already stated, I have some questions. 1. Are they waitng for the 864 from me, before they send the 230? They didn't say they were. 2. Is there any advantage in mailing the forms together as a package? 3. Does the 864 take longer to process than the 230 does or vise versa? 4. How low should I hang my head? Just a little or a lot? 5. Squeaky got his 230 before the 864, same process, but the order is a little different. What's up with that? Thanks in advance, and this is candle for LOVE remember. Don't be a play-a hate-a and don't hate da play-a, hate the game.
  8. Dear Who, File here just like normal. I don't know what your situation is, but if it's ugly, better to have the ball in your court and get the papers started here, before she does there. In CA the law is 1/2 earnings from the day you married. Never needed to step foot in the US or even get a visa. Another reason to be careful, but you can't always know what will happen. Sorry to hear your news and things didn't work out. Please don't describe the details of the reason why. It's your own business, people will be anxious to come to quick conclusions and judge you. Don't put yourself through that because it always comes down to the "blame game". Don't play that game. It sucks. The way you asked the question was the best way.
  9. How many times have you heard, " ...this is China". Too many times by far. Heard it before I left for U.S. Heard it again when I returned to China. That is the only thing that saddens me when I travel across the border on weekends. On a lighter note about New York. I once had a client coming to court with a happy fisherman tee shirt on. On the front was this man standing in the water fly fishing with his thing out and a fish sucking on it. The client came to court for a child custody case. Another occassion, a girl came to court in a miniskirt, on her smooth leg were tatooed paw prints that you would find on the walks in a zoo. The tatoos lead to between her legs. I found that pretty cute. A man I saw around time square had a taoo on his face, in black the Chinese character "Ji", a character used at funerals. That looked pretty cool too. In my earlie years, when I was in Canada, I taught my roommate a Chinese greeting word "mou mou ni nai zi". He practiced it on a 12 year old daughter of the local Chinese grocery store owner at the store. Poor Jeff came back really scared. The girl's dad was around and chased him out with a meat clever. (literal translation: touch touch your nipple) There are a few difficult sounds for Chinese speaking person, Bad-bed, vest-west, and v, f, th, in general. For Cantonese speaking people and some northeast dialects, the "l" sound is troublesome. Also, for Cantonese, "-ng" sound is used oftern becasue of the cantonese tendency to use the "-ng sound" like "ing" "eng" "ong". When I find it I will post the ads found in other parts of the world that have funny English usage in it. My wife gets mad at me for converting RMB to US dollars in my head before buying anything. Example: My logic is... The Taxi is 16 RMB more than the Bus. ....calc%&^&*...$2US The bus takes 15 to 20 minutes longer and you have to share with everyone. Answer= Take the taxi. Wrong answer!!! Why? "because this is China." The taxi is 16RMB more than the bus. Correct answer= Take the bus. My bad...
  10. Marty, Congratulations. I remember when you started and they posted your marriage experiance on Chinaadvisor.com. Your story was great. chinaadvisor is shutdown now, but I still saved your story. I was able to relax a little easier after having heard about the caos you went through over getting the paperwork together to submit to the marriage office. Turned out that you didn't need to sweat all the bullets in the 1st place. You got the Visa now. Congratulations again. Thanks for directing me to CFL, hopefully mine won't be too much longer either.
  11. All documents that she signs should be in her native signature. Just as she would if she were signing a contract or application in China. I ran into the same thing with the 130 too. She signed her name in PinYin, I found out later it needed to be in her native Chinese. CSC never commented about it, even though I got an RFE for other reasons. Her Pinyin signature was not listed one of the many problems (lawyer again<_< . ). I don't think they are really too fussy whether it's in PinYin or in English or Traditional Chinese, just as long as it's the real deal. NVC on the other hand, seems to emphaze the signature issue a little more heavily now. The 3032 doesn't need to be notarized, but when they see the post mark coming from China, it shows them without question the sig is still legit. I think that's all they are really looking for. I haven't heard of a fraudulant signature being a problem with anyone one the board. I'm sure it happens, but anyone that would admit it would be foolish. Do it the right way. It only took a week for my wifes 3032 to go from Shanghai to NH during Xmas card season. Another note: If she doesn't the 3032 real soon, it's ok to fax or pdf the doc to her to have her sign it and then mail it off.
  12. Wa bu way swa chung wa wa Your spelling ISSSssss just as bad.
  13. I thought it was the Chinatron DD-2000. Gee Wally, I didn't know they made a DD 2000. Now that I know that, my CC 2000 doesn't seem so swell !! And the correct quote was: "Ward, I think you were a little hard on the beaver last night" And 3, we should all find women the American way: Go to a pick up bar a few hours before closing, keep an eye on which of the nicer looking girls are drinking the most, then 10 minutes after last call, offer to take the pick of the litter home. That's the American way to get a girl. Oh wait, we were talking about finding a wife. NEVER MIND!!!! The name of person they are talking about is spelled June, not Jun.....(uh hmm ...Trigg ) It hes alreedy bin stablished that meye spilling iz knot reel gude. It hes allsew bin stablshed that intiligins and spilling our in know wey reelatid. thanck yoo viry much trig Dui Bu Chi I couldn't tell if the that was Pinyin or English. My Pin Yin isn't any better either. If you didn't give yeself up about yer spuling, I'd say your Chinese was purty good. Ni way swa pu ton gua hen hao.
  14. http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=stor...bush_cabinet_20 We have a new Homeland security chief now. The presidents 2nd pick for the job. His 1st pick had immigration matters that were "unresolved." Hopefully this change will have a positive impact.

  16. Carl, I was just going to say the same thing you just did. You and I are totally on the same page reguarding this issue. The article doesn't come out and list our names individually, but it does "imply" All Asian-American couples. I wasn't sure exactily how I could help you find what you were looking for but I narrowed the search down to two items. #1. The Red Ryder BB gun . I think the "BB" is for Big Boobs, right? or #2. A Red Rider Leg Lamp. (220V not required) http://www.redriderleglamps.com/images/litmediumleft.jpg
  17. Carl, I think you need to have a special license to have 220V run to your house. Fortunately you don't need to get that license from the same office we get our visa's. Speaking of people writing BS stories... Some of you might find this one interesting too. This story shows what can happen when people are held accountable for the crap that they write. Proving that there was absolutely no accountability for the person who wrote the article I'm talking about in this thread. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6807825/ "They also said it was “inappropriate” for Mapes to have helped Burkett get in contact with Joe Lockhart, a political adviser to Democrat John Kerry, in the midst of the presidential campaign. But Boccardi said that to conclude CBS was guilty of anti-Bush bias would be to make the same mistake “60 Minutes Wednesday” made — drawing a conclusion without enough evidence. " Some of the references used as evidence Lotus blossoms don't bleed: Images of Asian women. In Making waves: An anthology of writing by and about Asian-American women. Asian Women United of California. Boston: Beacon Press. Mail-order bride: marriage to a Montana cattle rancher. Good Housekeeping, Feb. Colorado's mail-order matchmaker. Rocky Mountain News Sunday Magazine. 2 Sept. Importing a Bride. Up the Creek. Mail-order brides: a new product in the shopper's catalogue. The Urban Spectrum. 26 June.
  18. Thanks for reminding me of my roll J. Do i really have to wear this helmet and take the short bus to school though. I have this sign posted up in my cube at work. Answer desk fees: Answers = $2 Correct answers = $5 Stupid Looks = Always Free Here's your free introductory stupid look. Enjoy
  19. Can we have the RR back now? I promise I'll be nice to Mark, OK?
  20. Whew! I just read the thread. i suppose you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink. I was gonna let it go, but like always, I won't. I knew immediately the AH was playing Devil's advocate. Just can not have any sort of a logical debate on a message board with personalitys like that. You'll always lose because he is only trying to push buttons of those of that truely care. He identifies anger, so in an attempt to entertain himself. Attempts to escalate it. If I felt that my spelling was more important than my words I would have used the spill chucker. I'm not out to prove how smart I am to anyone. I couldn't, even if I wanted to. A newbie comes to the site to raise an argument and attack the board. This isn't a person seeking help. He's an instigator. I have seen it on other forums too. I am not married to this board. I'm sorry. This is not my first board and it is not currently the only board that I post on. I can Identify with personality's like that. Been there, done that dude. got the T-shirt too. start a post off with gee I hope I don't make anyone angry, Is going to try to make us angry. It's like a car salesman who say's "trust me."I also like the lie, followed by his own admission that he lied. I read the article, I'd like to see where the OP (???) got his data that said 93K vs 0. Please stop waiving the hey I'm a total moron flag above your head. At least I won't attack or accuse anyone of not knowing what the hell they are talking about ....When I don't know what the hell I'm talking about. Please do the homework 1st? Then come debate with me. If I really don't know what I'm talking about I will gladly stand down, and let you take the floor. I am not above myself to allow that to happen. I have checked myself a couple times. This is almost like a family reunion from almost 6 months ago when Mark and I ranted back and forth over politics. Even Trigg is back now. (welcome back, by the way.) The cast has returned for a special episode. Even Dave's name was mentioned, though he's not around anymore. I know that Don is sitting back in his chair now, doing his best to stay out of this thread. back to my original point, it would be nice if we could feel as though our needs and feelings meant something to the people in charge. We have had the few frauds ruin it for the majority. So the majority suffers. It would be great to be offered to work together with our goverment for a common goal of getting our loved ones with us where they belong. We both want a speedy visa process without backlog. The same is true for our security and well being. We all want the same thing as the goverment wants. but as the tone in this thread demonstrates. Hatered, Bias and ...Bigotry only breeds anger. It would have been nice to see two points of view from the report. the report didn't offer the points and views of the defending party. our voice and chance to defend our views was not even offered in the report. not even one single reference in the report was made with kinds words to encourage love, peace and harmony. Only attacking remarks and bias opinions, I hope nobody strains themselves too hard to realize when they are being attacked. Turn the other cheek? No way baby. game on! Shame it's got to be that way, cest la vi.
  21. CL, No need to apologize at all. I hoped that my point was clear and that I didn't just sound like a ranting idiot. I question how thoroughly you read the string howver. No rebuttle? I know you didn't read it. Devils advocate? That's cool. Let me make my point another way. Do you beat your wife? Probably Not. Is your wife a prostitute? Probably Not. Would a man that loved his wife, tolerate another man he didn't know calling is wife a hoar? I wouldn't. You would? Would it upset you if I told the entire country that in fact your wife is a hoar. And you do beat the crap out of your wife. Maybe not. I'm nobody. How about if your goverment accuses you of marrige to your wife for the purpose of slavery and sex. You beat this sex, slave you call a wife. That doesn't upset you? Ok You didn't get that message? Ok? Back up all of what I just asked ask you with 0 cases of anyof those statements being actually proven. your not upset? What's left over, and what is the image in the minds of the 3rd party people that just heard me ask you these questions? Do you think that a 3rd person might come to the conclusion, that You are really married to your wife for slavery and sex. And you really do beat her daily? Why did you need to go to China to find a wife? An American woman would never let you do that to her. Your a sick and Percerted man, something has to be done to stop you. Do you think that people would come to that conclusion, even if there is no fact to back it up? It's called Slander. Look it up or read the article again. What is the image of us that they are trying to protray us as in the report vs. the loyal and honest men that love there wives, just as much as our wives truely love us in return. you think it's good? Please go back and read it again my brother. Assume for just a minute that those of us here have sacraficed much to find the partner of a life time. We are all legitimate. We are truthful, but we are made to face the consequences of a visa delay that is based on perception and not on fact. You didn't get that message? all righty then.
