  1. tywy, I was under the impression that the 2nd interview was conducted at the local INS in the states since k-3 allows one to come to the states. If the k-3 is for while waiting on cr-1/I130 then what would be the point of having 2nd interview in gz?. Is that 2nd interview conducted before k-3 visa is issued? I think that my I130 will be approved before k-3 so it may not apply in my case. Yea, i talked to squeak about it last weekend. I thought like you did. Even though Ling is already here, they still need to go back and interview again. I couldn't believe it. tywy, Great stuff. I printing this thread fior sure. Thanks
  2. I think that's what happened to my 129F that went to chicago. It made it there never heard from again. must have shredded it before they cashed the check for the application. My 130 must have just made it through. Somebody needs to be held accountable. How can the victims get the time back? Thery can't.
  3. Ha ha , the neighborhood cats must be very frustrated by now. That reminded me of that scene from Dumb and Dumber. Remember when they gave that blind kid the decapitated bird? They taped it's head back on and the kid loved it. He kept petting his head and saying "pretty bird", "pretty bird" ....I'm laughing
  4. Wow good luck! At least they told you ahead of time, instead of waiting until the interview. That was nice of them.
  5. Dude, Your CR-1. That's why. the 129 is closer, you don't need the 130. It will take longer. 129F was approved along time ago, go to the interview. Get her here with you now, the rest will take care of itself later. Click here K3 CR1 Process K3 Visajourney I would also say thankyou and goodbye to your laywer too. You can handle it yourself. If you can't well then.....???whatever
  6. http://allaboutfrogs.org/gallery/animations/ani/animated-frog-1.gifHappy Birthday Squeak!!! 50? ouch! ha ha... http://www.scaleautomobilia.com.au/cars/stppont.jpg - So what did you get Ling for your birthday?
  7. Alex, Don't forget to tell her to bring her flaming hula hoop with her. They love to see people jump through them. If she can count 100 to zero backwards speaking all even numbers in chinese and all odd in english, she shouldn't have any problems uh oh .. unless they want her ex's voice on video tape doing the same thing with a pancake on his head, while making dim sum with his left hand and arm wrestling a midget with the right. Now if she can pull that off, you got something there. Good luck, I think you'll be OK.
  8. I'm doing the same as you are. (K3 CSC) See my timeline below.
  9. Congratulations, It's sounds like he knew you were already approved. I just finished reading Alex's post I'm kind of curious what's going on behind the scenes. The clear differences I see is that you are K3/K2 and he is K1/K2. Your wife brought her son, Alex's fiancee ?? I heard about K2, but not that the unmarried child under 21 was present. Your wife interviewed with a male officer, Alex's was female. Why would they hold his fiancee accountable for her ex-husband's presence in China... Hmmm? Don't mean to take away from your celebration, just a little curious. Thanks for sharing your wife's experiance at the interview. I'm very happy for you and your Lao Po.
  10. a color copy of your passport and a news paper with a picture and then her bosses approval? oh but wait! It's not even her's, she needs to get all of this from her ex? I assume question #3 says her, but really means her ex. They want proof he is still working in China, not her. She needs to prove her ex's innocence to the embassy in order to get her visa. It's not that you or your fiancee did anything wrong at all. This is ALL about her ex-husband. That very unfair. Reassure your fiancee she did nothing wrong. She needs to have her ex call the embassy to check in with them. Come on man, didn't you read that in the requirements? Can't you read english? You also forgot to tell her to bring her flaming hoola hoop with her. (or her ex's flaming hoola hoop.) I'm suprised they let her in without it. The has to be one of the worst excuses for rejection. They can't run an ID check on him to prove he is still in China? One of the worst storys I can remember reading about was when they told the woman she had AIDs and couldn't immigrate because of it. Geez! What can you do? Unfortunately, you have to pay the price for all those frauds out there. Shame. The household registration card is sort of like a driver's license. Small credit card sized ID card with lamination on both sides, picture on the left, ID info on the right. How do they expect her to get that from her ex? That is just plain rotten to do to people. Why not ask for these material items before the interview? The interview should be all about the person to person meeting. Any requirements for forms and documentation should be all be completed before the interview is even scedualed. All expectations should be in writing. I'm miffed. From your wife's e-mail I can see that english isn't the determining factor. Curious how it would have turned out if you had arrived there at the interview with her? How much longer now? Good luck.
  11. Welcome to Candle Nate and even more congratulations on begining your new family. You already found visajourney, so I don't know what I could offer you in terms of advice. John and Rose CR-1
  12. Mine said 990 to 990 days from CSC. You have your NOA1 already. That date means nothing to you now. Do yourself a favor and ignore that date, it's meanless to you. Call them or keep waiting. Read the timelines and then look at yours. That's why we post them. They are an indicator or a flag that something is wrong. I'm K3 though so I'll stay out of this. Good luck.
  13. He told me had done 10 visa's before, I doubt it. It's true that they just ask you the exactly same questions as the I-129F, I-130 and the G-325A. He just didn't tell me the document #'s and I didn't know what the requirements were before I hired him. I'm kicking my own butt for it now. He would have cost me an extra 4 months or more, if CSC wouldn't have changed there process to eliminate backlog and I continued to trust him. He was a nice guy, but he didn't really care about my wife's visa at all. If you want it done right, do it yourself. The trouble is knowing where to find the resources on the web that breaks it down without all the goverment lingo. I found them after it was too late. For K3 this is all you need to get started Visajourney.com and John and Rose K3
  14. American Citizens Service Center at the Embassy in Beijing. When you go past the gates you need to go past the visa service center and make a right. It's the 1st building on the right side. Don't get stuck in line at the Visa services, they can't help you do notary. The other advantage is the CSC will notarize what ever you need to have done for free. There is a nice American/Korean lady there named Jemma. She'll help you out.
  15. K1 or K3? How far along in the process? Service center?
  16. Hey, Thanks Lee, I'll try this one. I have to say that I have sent a couple of letters to her without problems, but the package I sent with gifts never arrived. One point to note, we can all trust the USPS, but once they turn the package over to the Chinese post, it's out of their hands. It's better to use Chinese Traditional. It's common and more people prefer it. If you have Microsoft Office, You can use outlook or word to save the adresses in Chinese and English. Just print them out whenever you need to. Always use both. Send me a PM. I'll help you out with the adress. Send it in Chinese. I went through the same thing. If it helps also the adress should go something like this. Name Last first Room # Unit # Bluilding # City, Provence PRC - Mainland
  17. My wife says the same thing. Her english is very good. Execellent, if she gets angry. In the beginning of the process I was stressing more than her, but now at the (knock on wood) half way point of 6 months, she is beginning to stress more than me. Good luck trying to find a person that speaks both English and Chinese at an American Embassy in China. (kidding.) bu dong
  18. I sent my I-864 payment to MO today. I was thinking that everything would go smoothly from now on because I fired my lawyer, but he got me one more time. I brought this up before, but I'll bring it up again. My lawyer did my 325, 130 and 129 in adobe acrobat. What happened was that my wifes adress was too long for the box in the adress section and it was cut off early by the box next to it on the right. I looked at all 4 copies. Same thing all the way through. There's no way it would find my wife. Too much of the adress was cut-off. I noticed it right away and told my lawyer about it. He made the font smaller and it fit ok.....on the 1st page. He mailed the paperwork off and he always did a very poor job, so I ended up firing him. (don't ask about the $$$ I paid up front.) When I took the paperwork back from him, I noticed that he only fixed the 1st page, the other 3 were still cut off. A little while later I got my RFE. The officer didn't catch the mistake either, so I pointed it out , along with the other requested evidence and wrote an explaination. I also sent back corrected versions of her 325 x4. Taken care of right? Wrong. I just recieved the 184 bill Saturday. My wife didn't get her 3025 yet, but I didn't expect her to, since she lives a little further away from NH than I do. I saw on the instructions we can fax the document to her to have her sign it. The doc doesn't need to be notarized, so I already had her sign a copy for me when I went to see her last month. I was going to send it in, since I had her signature on the internet copy. The copy I got in the mail was personalized and I didn't want NVC to think I was cheating, I know they are looking for that warm fuzzy "it came from China" feeling, so I scanned a copy of the form I recieved in adobe and e-mailed the doc to her. She asked me for clear instructions what she wanted me to have her do. I wrote NVC NH's adress down for her to reply to and I (for a moment thought it was stupid) wrote her adress down too. I copied it off the adress she gave me, not off the adress that was on the forms. Good thing. My god I couldnt believe it. Her adress on the forms were cut off, just like they were on the other 3 copies of the screwed up 325's. If I would have mailed the copy of the pre-signed 3025, I wouldn't have caught the mistake. Our paperwork again would have been missing in China somewhere between GZ and Shanghai. Never would have known better. So I can tell you that the 1st page of the 325 form does not go to the office that sends your wives the 3025 form. If I still had my lawyer there would be no way in $%^%$% he would have caught that. I was so happy with the way things were going since I don't talk to him anymore, I thought it was over with him and forgot him already, but no. So words to the wise...when using those adobe forms to do your paperwork check it closely. All pages. If you thought about forgeing your wifes signature or had her fill it out earlier. You might want to think again. I knew NVC was wanting to see that the letter come from China and not CA, so I decided it was best to have her sign it again anyway. Lesson learned, It's not worth it to take shortcuts. My laywer did and it cost me alot of grief and restless nights of stressing out. I was determined to not let that happen again. Fortunately it paid dividends for me.
  19. I think your wife is confused. Use this link, it's been my guide and it's been right on. John and Rose
  20. Dude something is wrong. My I-130 paperwork was bad and I had to wait 1 months to get the RFE after recieving the NOA1. That was CSC (at that time it was even slower than NVC.) If everything goes correctly you should have recieved the NOA2 a long time ago. You need to call USCIS. National Customer Service Center: 1-800-375-5283 (Call here until approval) Check online status Use the case # from the your NOA1. You should have recieved and e-mail. 129F is 8/9 but yours has been in the process before that anyway. They will tell you to wait 4 weeks for a reply from them and not to file another application, but in this case I don't see that you have much choice. They recieved your application and your adress is correct, because you got the NOA1. Even if they forwarded it to CSC, it shouldn't take that long and I would think you would have been notified about the change in service centers. That sucks, Good luck
  21. Mark, It could have been anyone of us. He was lied too. That is harsh dude. Put yourself in his shoes.
