1. Our POE was Lax and it took about 10 days, however the form we received at POE said something like it may SIX MONTHS before you receive the GC and after 9-10 months to notify them! Yes, it does seem yours is taking longer than most here but.... I'd also recommend you find/read the paper you got at POE! 181583 Can you please tell me what type of paperwork my wife should have or may have received at POE for CR1? She came through Seattle and all I can see is that her passport is stamped along with "CR-1 and her 2 year expiration date" written in pen on the stamp. Her english is a little rough so I don't know what the POE officer told her, and if anything is in the works as far as the GC and SSN? Bruce B.
2. Our CR1 took so long mainly due to the Nebraska Service Center (NSC). Our docs sat at NSC for 7 months before NSC "realized" that they were backlogged and then forwarded them to the California Service Center(CSC). Within a few weeks CSC had my docs on there way to NVC My Senators staff told me that NSC is now forwarding the I-130 to the CSC when they receive them. Don't know if thats true or not. Brucetb P.S. My wife will be on her way the 31st!
3. SHE PASSED! DEC.21 VISA IN HAND DEC.23 USA BOUND DEC. 31 BRUCETB
4. Congratulations Jay and Susan! My wife Joy also passed her interview on the 21st. Bruce
5. Thank you all. This site and the people on it have been awesome during this long wait. Bruce
6. Its been a very long wait, but finally our new beginning is near..... My wife passed her interview yesterday in Guangzhou! We are so happy! The last few days leading up to the interview were very tough on her. She had headaches and couldn't eat. She thought that it must be caused by the food and water in Guangzhou, but I knew otherwise. When she called me after the interview she said she felt great!! The headache was gone and her appetite had returned. The interview lasted 1-2 minutes. The VO wanted her to speak in English as much as possible, asked to see some photos, then asked how many times I had come to see her (4) and that was it...Passed Bruce B.
7. Thanks all, I think I'll sleep on it tonight and likely put her mind at ease by sending her what she wants. She has checked off all the items that she needs to bring to the interview, but is worried about something coming out of left field from the VO that will delay us being together. Bruce
8. My wife is worrying a little bit as we get closer to her interview about the telephone records that I sent her. I went online and printed the list of calls from my Dynasky calling card and sent them to her. Now she is asking if we need to show a photocopy of the actual card that I used. Is there any need for that? Bruce
9. When you say "Yes she does", do you mean that the representative does know what she is talking about? If so, what does that mean for my Interview wait time? All the stats I see show P-3 to P-4 then P-4 to Interview. Which appears to be taking 5 months on average. Am I going to get a month or two cut out if we don't have to wait for the P-3 and it's return and processing. Or am I completely lost? If so, could you please point me in the direction of some documentation. 169587 Just as an example, my wifes I-130 was forwarded to GUZ on May 11. Her interview is on Dec 21. Hopefully the process has sped up since ours arrived. Also, there are docs to be filled out when the P4 arrives. Bruce
10. For anyone that has just gone through the CR1 Interview in Guangzhou... My wife lives in Nanning and has just received the following docs in her P4: DS-2053, DS-3024, DS-3025, DS-3026, DS-230 PartII, GIV-1, GIV-8, GIV-24 and the OF-171 Appointment letter. Are the above docs all that is sent for the CR1 P4? How many copies of these docs and the supporting documents does she need to bring to the GUZ interview? She is a little stressed, which makes me a little stressed. She had read on another site that she needed 4 copies, which I find crazy. And she is worried that the package may not be complete, which I think it is complete. Any help for CR1 would be appreciated. Bruce
11. Very good news. My wife is scheduled for an interview on Dec,21. The timeline was very close. Brucetb
12. Mark, Can you please add Bruce & Joy to the timeline list for CR1. 5/11/2005 I-130 complete per NVC and sent to GUZ 7/18/2005 Case entered in GUZ computer 8/11/2005 Case completed per the GUZ pay-for-information-service Just an FYI... The GUZ information service operator told me that due to the backlog, expect that the interview will most likely be in 4-6 months from the 8/11/2005 date. Thanks, Bruce
13. Thanks guys for the reassurance. Today is Joy and my 1 year anniversary and I was just hoping to tell her that another step in the process is done. I guess I'll just keep checking the automated message. Bruce
