  1. tsap seui, Very glad to know your wife's interview is set smoothly. Wish her Pink!!! It will be the best news before I leave China this Friday. Less visit recently but hope more after we settle down in USA. Take care, everyone! Xiaozhu
  2. 1) You can include any self-translation. It works. But for bank account is better to be a bank statement from the bank. Banks provide Chinese and English statement. But in my view, these documents just are optional. 2-3) We prepared some print-out pictures in an album. But VO did not ask for them at my interview (I was a little disappointed since I spent a lot of time on it). We submitted only 4 print-out pictures in our I-130. How to prepare pictures for interview depends on your like, print-out, or in A4 paper etc. The key is to catch VO¡¯s eyes and exhibit your wonderful marriage/relationship. Pictures are not turned in at the hand-in day since it is not required documents. But you do need to prepare it in case VO asks for it at her interview. Pictures are necessary, not optional.
  3. They said as long as it is a valid document issued by Chinese government. Then they accept it. http://www.bjbj.gov.cn/2011-06/03/content_4246434.htm
  4. Did she show her ownership of property and business before? She did, I bet. She got it this time since it is her third time, I think. Many people got B2 at their second/third try. So the thruth is not giving up!! Whatever, good to hear it.
  5. In your wife's call-in-letter envelop, it should have two pieces of paper. The paper with words "Call-in-letter" is the call-in letter. Another paper should be her appointment letter, which actually is her visa interview letter that she turned into Guangzhou on her last interview date of Nov. 17 2010. She needs both letters to enter into Guangzhou Consulate. You said you emailed Guangzhou, I think you will get a relpy soon before tomorrow. If Guangzhou does forget to include her opppintment letter in her call-in-letter envelop, do worry, just go to the consulate and tell the security. They will help her out.
  6. Yes, everything in G325A is in Pinyin, and I signed G325A in both Pinyin and Chinese as you plan to do. It is not a problem that the signature is either in Pinyin or Chinese. I just thought Pinyin will be more recognized by the American officers.
  7. Glad to know your wife's interview went well. Her visa will be granted. Just as you said, Guangzhou is doing their job. Since you still plan to leave next January, I just want you know medical report is only valid for six months and visa validity is tied with medical report. So your wife may need to do another medical check-up when she receives call-in-letter. Then bring new medical report and call-in-letter to Guangzhou.
  8. No one can stop you if you want to frontload more new evidences included in AOS (I-864) and IV (DS-230) package. I said "It will delay your case" which just is my understanding from NVC website saying "Notice: Do not submit documents unless they were requested by the NVC". Sorry if my understanding was misleading you. Even if you frontload all documents through EP, your wife still needs to bring all originals and multiple copies of important documents to her interview. I am sure "she will not be going to the Consulate empty handed". So did I. But I doubt whether it is necessary to re-submit the documents which you already submitted in I-130 petition for your purpose to ensure CO sees everything.
  9. Only choice is F1 visa for them. They need to get addmission letter to high school before applying for F1 visa.
  10. So you and your wife are inviters and sponsors? It is not very common for friends to be inviter and sponsors for B2, at least to my knowledge. Also, if she was well-off, she could sponsor herself. Also, leave her 16-year old son at home alone? Maybe these could be the reason why she was refused before. B2 is for relatives and tourists.
  11. If your hotel is close to East Train Station and Consulate (they are very close in 5 minutes walking), just take airport shuttle at the airport. They have many different lines to downtown. I took Line 6 (RMB 20) to Citic Plaza which is 5 minutes walking to the consulate and 10 minutes walking to East Train Station. It is very comfortable and you can take a look at Guangzhou. If you are not sure which line is right for you, just ask people there or call your hotel information desk. But as I know Line 6 is the right one to the consulate.
  12. Confirmed with Beijing General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection, they accept the exit document with Chinese name. Your daugther is ready to go. Have a safe trip and happy life.
  13. Does the exit document have her passport number? I think it should. Then her passport and exit document will be tied together. I have sent an inquiry letter to Beijing General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection regarding your concern. Hope to hear from them soon and then I will let you know. P.S. Their phone number is 010-64563591
  14. For me, I attended into the consulate at 7:30am and came out about 10am. I saw still many people behind me. But I am sure the consulate will finish all interviews by 12:30pm because 12:30pm is the time for documents hand-in people enter into the consulate. Documents hand-in place and interview place are same. So the room has to be clear for hand-in in the afternoon. There is an airport shuttle near the consulate (within 5 minutes walking). It will take about 40-50 minutes to airport by shuttle. Hope it helps for your flight booking.
  15. No sure whether July early is good. I would assume at least two months before August 15, so it would be middle of June. Since you have not get P3 yet, also after receive P3, you also need sometime to prepare all P3 documents. If I were you, I would go with time flow.
  16. 1) You need a Chinese name (in Chinese Characters) for your daughter to put on the "exit document" (her photograph will be put on the document). It equals to her Chinese passport to prove her residence in China legally. At Chinese Custom, the document will be checked. My son entered China with Travel Document issued by Chinese Consulate in USA. His Chinese name is put on the Travel Document, together with his English name. I think your daughter’s exist document would include her English name as well. 2) Her name on flights should be her name in her US passport. We did when we came back and we booked return ticket as same. 3) Her exit document will be checked at Chinese Custom and her US passport will be checked at US Custom. 4) Chinese name does not have to a phonetic spelling of her English name. It totally depends on your like. It is not related with her birth crtificate (I assume her English name is on her birth certificate).
  17. --She can ask them again when she does check-up. I think it is completely possible. Get to talk with a manager there.
  18. China has three levels of hospitals according to medical facilities and resources. As you all know, China's hospitals are not like US's except ones which are operated as US way. China's hospital is more like a supermarket. If you want something, just walk in (it is very hard to do walking in at an advanced hospitals just like Xie He Hospital, Tongji Hospital, Renming Hospitals in Beijing). Compared with China’s population, China is short of doctors and medical resources. Luckily we have a very good Chinese-style hospital near where I live. It reminds me a post saying China will catch USA in 2015. China maybe does in term of GDP, but not in per capita GDP, not in medical resources/facilities, not in many ways.
  19. Congradulations!! Glad to know that your wife was asked about CCP as the way you expected. It was very tricky. Some people's answer to "Are you a CCP?" is that "No, I am not, but I was." or "No, never." Whatever, Congratulations again.
  20. I think the lawyer means that "She will get pink eventually". I heard few people did get pink at interview. So it really depends. If blue, Guangzhou will let her know the reason (because of CCP), anything else is all right. No need for her to feel that way. I remember you guys plan to return US next January. Everything will be worked out soon. If though, I still wish pink on her interview!!
  21. Sure, I do, better than English because I am a Chinese. . What's up?
  22. Glad to know you and your wife work everything out. The date on interview appointment letter is the time and date for documents hand-in. After she does that, a stamp will be put on her interview letter to inform her come back next day for interview. Documents hand-in is in Chinese. Interview is in Chinese if you ask for it. Take a look at the thread below where some people did get an interview in Chinese. But it really depends on what happens at interview. I recommend interview in English unless you guys communicate in Chinese. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/305673-interview-englishchinese-china/page__p__4648450__fromsearch__1?do=findComment&comment=4648450 Good Luck!! Go Pink!
  23. Guangzhou most likely will offer early July interview. They did when I asked for early March interview. If you did not get p4 from Guangzhou by the middle of June, call NVC or email Guangzhou.
  24. I did as what you did: emailed Guangzhou for rescheduling, right after I received set-up interview by NVC since I could not make that date. And their reply is like what you received from them. Afte Guangzhou gets your case number and set a date, they will mail new appointment letter to your wife (NOT EMAILS, since now everything will go with mails). If you want to know the new appiointment date, you need to call NVC to check the case status, or bug Guangzhou later. What we did is to call NVC.
