Once again you've come to the rescue,... Thank you sooooo much. I just had to ask,... the wife made me do it hehehe.

Hi all, My wife got her visa packets but was a little worried that is can in only one big envelope instead of 2 envelopes as mentioned by the Chinese visa officer. Th Lady insisted that each visa packet has to be mailed separately. My wife paid the cost for 2 Express Mail Service but only got one envelope. However that one envelope contained 2 sealed visa packets. Is there any reason for concern? Wang said she paid 2 different cost for the EMS because weight were different. Assuming her visa packet contained more documents than my step son's. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Edward

I met my Wang also from Cherry Blossoms,... I think CHN Love is a rip off. Wang is getting her visa printed on her passport Monday,... hope to be reunited soon.

You guys have all been very helpful, It did say to come in Monday through Wednesday from 12:30 to 2:30. I did get a reply from GUZ this afternoon. It said to disregard the appointment letter since it wasn't attached. Your generous wealth of information has been very beneficial to us. Wife will leave for Guangzhou tomorrow morning, get there early to renew health report since it expired. Many thanks to all you contributors, hope to be reunited with my family very soon. The call in letter makes no mention of a date, just informed that the visa application was approved and to come in for visa printing on passport and to pick up visa package. You prompt reply would be greatly appreciated Edward

Would you mind sharing what the issue was? And how long from the interview did this take to receive? Interview was Nov. 17 2010,.. got a blue slip,.. needed more evidence since I don't earn enough. I had to show how I was able to travel to China between 2009 and 2010 with a measly income? Did that in early Feb. 2011. Just Monday got the Call in letter from GUZ. All my wife got in the mail was the call in letter, but in the letter it mentioned to bring "this notice (assuming it was the call-in letter)and the attached appointment letter" together with the passports for all immigrant visa applicants". Since it was mailed there were no attachments. Any idea what this appointment letter might be?

I believe the call in letter is the appointment letter and is all that is needed to visit the consulate and turn in passport.

OK my wife got her call-in Letter yesterday, it says to bring this call-in letter with the attached appointment letter,.... She only received a call-in letter. What do we do now,... tickets to Guangzhou already purchased for this Friday. Anyone know about this appointment letter? Thanks a bunch Edward

I got a blue slip too, however 2 items were checked. I am about to submit the required statements with supporting evidence. The blue slip requested a return address. Does anyone know if the address should be in Chinese, English or both? Do I need to include a self stamped return envelope for the reply? Any input would be much appreciated. Ed

I'm getting all my ducks in a row and about to resubmit more documents to Guangzhou. Items listed on the blue slip. I was told by my wife that having my name on the house loan and title is bad for Guangzhou. My ex-wife took over the house loan and tried to get the bank to take my name off the note and title but they wouldn't do it. How do I solve this issue? It is stated in the divorce decree that she gets to take over the house and release me of any mortgage liability. Any info on this matter would be much appreciated.

Thanks for all your input,... I did have a joint sponsor with six figure income but the VO did not accept it. Cory nice to meet you,.. call me sometime. Wang told me Lixu would be calling me. Any other ideas beside waiting till I get a better paying job and show pay stubs? Thanks for the input. Edward

My wife got the blue slip yesterday. I was not able to be there for the interview. Two issues were noted on the blue slip. First was the fact that my income level was insufficient, (between jobs now,... got laid off) and VO also wanted to know how I was able to go to China 3 times in 1 year with such low income. The second was to explain in detail about my ex-wife,.. how we met,.. etc,.. etc. I had included a letter about the ex for the interview but apparently the VO didn't bother to read it. What can I do at this time about my income while looking for a better paying job? Not a big demand for graphic designers in a small city. Any help would be much appreciated or better still a better job would solve everything. A BFA degree with 20 years experience didn't do much for me but I believe this phase will soon pass and all will be well again.

David, If you think you've got a firecracker,... consider yourself lucky. I get that on a weekly basis lol,... Most Chinese women are perfectionist and think we Americans are slow and lazy. But mine keeps me on my toes which is good for me really. Like you, I try to be practical but that won't cut it,.. its her way or KaPow!! hehehe. Advise from a fellow brother,.. just grin and bare it,.. it will pass. She'll be sweet as honey when its all said and done.
