  1. For us, it was much cheaper for me to book a 1 round trip (for me) & 1 one way (open ended, for her) . as it was going to cost just about the same for me one way as it would for a round trip. If you should decide to wait until you get to china to buy hers, be prepared to jump through a few hoops in order to get her on the same plane & a seat hopefully next to you. Ususally you can book one ways out of china, but then they need at least 30 or more days to book as most flights are usually book slammed full. (Imagine that, I wonder why) I do not know if your SO can book a one way opened ended ticket there or not, but she can try Hope this helps a little.
  2. Yuppers, That's what it means Alrighty, Now grab your bag of cheetos and anjoy the ride
  3. Well, I still stand by what I said, No Matter what. & here is why: At age 40, I have had the oppertunity to date just about every facet of ladies the the US could come up with; Big Gals Little Gals Tall Ones , Short Ones, Rich Ones, Poor Ones White, Black, hispanic, Italian, Phillipeno, French, Dutch, German and even Chinese American. None of which had the True Family Morals, the Honesty, the Dignity, entegraty nor the respect or know how to treat their man or how to truely respect his family or friends. They were either caught up in themselves, into drugs in one form or another, too busy to care about anything but themselves, played the Poor Pitiful me card, If you can't afford me then you don't need me card, their family was far more important than trying to make a lives for ourselves, played the Racist card or was a racist, felt that children should be seen & not heard, deotorant was somthing for only well off folks, a weekly bath was all that was needed, could or would bend over in the middle of a park, drop trow & could piss through a hoop 20 yards away, fasion was everything. the list goes on & on. Now granted, we all have mothers, sisters Aunts etc. But most of them as we know it, were brought up through the OLD SCHOOL where family values, a ladies dignity and the love for her mate were Sincear, honest & true in their truest forms. But unfortuantely, Many of our Sisters, daughters etc, have grown away from those teaching as "ITS TOO OLD FASION" or "Get with Reality, this is a new century" Shit isn't like that any more, what world are you living in" type of attitude. So for me, all I can say to them is: Hate your luck, you cry all day wishing your ship would come in like that of what you see on tv, all of the while crying why cant you ever find a guy like that? Well, if you would quit trying to impress all of your girlfriends on how much of a bad ass, self susficiant woman that you are, You just might have a chance at seeing a passing ship upon which you could get top know. But until you drop all of that BS, your head will still be left in the fog, and while you are busy trying to figure out how you got there in the first place, all of us good guys have gone to better fishing grounds. Hate your Luck, but you've missed the Boat. Just my thoughts for what they are worth
  4. I Second that! No need of supplying something that they haven't requested yet. Could raise suspicion.
  5. I have never heard of such a thing. When I bought my wifes ticket here through flychina.com a year and a half ago nothing was needed until she boarded the plane. Then she had to have the visa and passport. 161108[/snapback] Same Here. I purchased my SO's ticket directly with Delta 3 weeks ago & all that they asked for was her nam exactly as it appeard on her Passport. That was it and had her tickets in hand, 2 days later via Fed X. Definately try another Agency.
  6. The Best advise that I can offer you is all listed in THE KITCHEN SINK APPROACH section of this site. READ IT PLAN IT SUPPLY IT If you do not already have it there in China.... BRING IT!! It's far better to have it with you while stading there in front of the VO than not to have it and then having to reschedule. When in doubt, BRING IT!! Hope this helps.
  7. First let me commend each and every one of you for not just making possibly one of the best decisions of your life, but also for having the balls to back up your decision, regardless of family or friends. I know it is a very difficult decision to have to make, but in the end, you really do gain a better person, a better friend, and a far better mate that one could ever find in the States. Now, should you at any time feel that you have made even the slightest error on your part, let me help to remind you as to why you took this first step in becomming a far better person in the first place. While you were in the USA, Please ask your self these questions: 1) When was the last time you met, shook hands, broke your neck, or droped your jaw by looking at a so called Perfectly made American Woman? You know the type: Boob Job, Butt Job, a face lift or two, that prissy litte walk, that "I'm all that" strut, enough make-up to make Tammy Fay Cry with Jealousy, the Attitiude from Hell as if to say, "You can't afford this piece of ass, so don't even bother", or (if you are rolling in the Benjamines) the swarms of ladies constantly attempting to try & get your attention. Well guess what? When they said, MADE IN AMERICA, well, these ladies are more than likely to be the only TRUE THING left that is ACTUALLY MADE IN AMERICA. Thats right, I said it. They may have been bread in America, But everything else was Made. Attitude, the Drive for the Money, and oh yeah, that boob job. When was the last time you ever saw such a woman cook a meal, clean a house, wash a dirty dish, much less, bring a guy a cup of coffee? That's right, NEVER! When was the last time you ever seen such a woman truely and sincearly touch or hold her man like she MEANT it? Nope, Never. Not going to happen in this life time (unless she's needing more money for that tummy tuck) When was the last time you ever heard of an American woman just sitting down with her American man just to carry on a CIVIL conversation, or talking about HIS NEEDS? Yeah Right. Wake up, You're Dreaming When was the last time you heard of an American woman Insulting every other woman out there claiming that the other woman was NOT REAL and ONLY she was a REAL WOMAN? YUP!! You guessed it, EVERY SINGLE DAY OF OUR STINKING LITTLE LIVES. 2) When was the last time you looked at a Chinese woman and said to yourself "HOLY SHIT!! Damn!! or WOW" and did everything you could to break your neck just to get a better look? Do you know why? Because here is a woman that is 110% Bonified & Truely a SELF MADE WOMAN! That's why. NOPE! No plastic, no silicon, no buckets of paint or plaster, no fillers, no additives. Just 110% Pure Woman, in all of their true beauty and glory. Just as god made them to be. YES! They have an attitude. But you know what, it's that Attitude that helps to remind us that THEY ARE ALIVE, THEY ARE THE REAL DEAL, and THEY ARE THE REAL REASON why we fell in love with them. Although they may be a bit shorter than most. Although they may be a bit more reserved than most. Although they may be a bit more assertive than most. I have yet to find any other speicies of a woman who could ever come close to filling a Chinese Womans Shoes. Here's why: SHEs: Always happy to see you in the morning Always pays attention to what you are saying Always listens to your concerns Always looking out for you best wellfare Always ready to defend YOUR honor Always making sure you had pleanty to eat Always making sure you have something clean to wear Always making sure that you look just right to be seen in public Always ready and willing to do what ever she can to make your home a loving and respectable home Always ready to be your friend Always ready to be the Best Damn lover you have ever wanted or will ever need Always willing to try something different with out complaints Never going out of her way to put another down or insult another Never making it a point to prove to you that SHE IS ALL THAT & that YOU Better Not Forget It. Never intentionally insulting or embarrassing you in front of family & friends Never letting you leave the house with a bad attitude Never letting you go to bed uspet and Last but not the Least.... SHE's ALWAYS letting you know Just how much she loves you NOW, Try and get that from an American woman. If you can, well WAKE UP!! YOU ARE DREAMING, as it will never happen. Not in this life time, Not Ever. And That My Friends, IS WHY I'D CHOOSE AN CHINESE WOMAN OVER AN AMERICAN WOMAN, ANY TIME!!
  8. I am thinking, but could be wrong about this, but I think that upon entering the US you can only stay a maximum of 30 days before having to return to your country. But on a K3, things may be a bit different. But don't worry, someone who knows for sure will be allong shortly;)
  9. well, look at it this way; If you or your So has a very common name, you can expect upto as much as 120+ days. If either of you have something on your record that my look suspicios, add another 30. On the flip side, as the old saying goes, no news is good news Good Luck to the both of you
  10. AHHHH Don't feel so bad. It has happened to the best of us, LOL Wait until you are working on a Sun Blade server that is used for Confidential Company information and while you are installing a new drive with a different aray, it starts sending out hours of confidential documents to the Shipping Departments Printer. LOL Talk about getting the CEO's Blood Boiling. And if that wasn't bad enough, while trying to correct the issue at hand, I had in advertanly mannages to unplug the Fiber from its GBic Card, causing the loss of connectivity to the entire buliding above the 6th floor to the 20th. So you can imagin just what sort of day that turned out to be. THANK GOD For the Local "HTBA" (Honkey Tonk Bar Association"
  11. CONGRATS & WELCOME HOME!! If it is only the computer that she has taken over, you better thank your lucky stars It's when she then begins to take over the Remote Control that you will be in for trouble LOL Well, You better start now & stock up on more Cheetos
  12. Here is my intuitive Thoughts on the best Definition about the Great GUZ and the way they handle things: Always feeding the individual Bull Shit + Always Keeping Individual In the Dark = THE GREAT MUSHROOM So Until we are plucked for selection, we are left out in the pasture of darkness to blossom as a piece of fungus, just something else for them to walk all over with no disregard to humanity. CONFUSED YET? GREAT!! Now your getting your feet wet Goodluck.
  13. The SO & I just completed yet another Full medical (Not Required) BUT (I Insisted) here in Nanning, seeing that we will be comming back to the states in a week or two. I had them give her a Complete series of Shots, 9 all together, EEG, EKG, CAT Scan, Papsmear, Full Blood Work up ISO anything that was or could either be interpreted as a possible health threat no only to her, but as well as to others, and a full series of X-rays (chest, arms, Dental, legs etc). After it was all said and done, the only thing they could come up with is that she had an irregular heart beat & for her to get more rest. They entered all of this information into a Yellow health record book as well as a Red one, gave us copies of the Doctors notes, Noterized & a Hand shake. All of this ran us only 380 RMB or about $50. Compared to the Thousands it would have ran us there in the States So Hopefully this will be all that we need & then that form you are mentioning filled out
  14. I have to agree with all of the above. But at the same time, if you think of it like this, You will do fine; If you have any doubts, even the slightes, its time to make a change. Another way would be to think of it as if you were going through the check points at one of our airports immediately after 911. Everything Must be clearly seen at a distant, Now metal objects what so ever, not long coats, boots be prepared to have them removed etc. You remember the drill. Just use a little common sence here as these boys at the embassy refuses to play nice or fair.
  15. I believe that if you are a Beneficiary, you will have to go back to china for the interview, Sorry
  16. The Best way to get the answer you seek is to call the Airlines personally. They will have the most up to date information. I have posted a Large amount f Airlines Phone numbers in the post I created in the Links & Resource part of this site pertaining to LAX Good Luck
  17. There is a whole section here on this site that refers to all sorts of Information about the Great GUZ, as well as a Link and Resource Section. I believe that you will find these 2 areas of great assistance to many or your questions in regards to your quetion. But to get you started, check out the following Links: http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=11746 http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=10573 http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=12866 http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=11500 http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=3131 http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=10356 If you have any further questions, we'll be here to help Good Luck
  18. 1st, as Trig would say; I want for the both of you together begin with this little execise: Breath In..................Breath out............Breath In..........Breath Out. Now, sit down Look at each other in the eye, and tell the other, YOU WILL DO FINE!! RELAX!! I think, and I am sure so many others before you will agree, this is one of the best advice given in respect to this situation. It is not a matter of how well one can speak english or chinese, it is a matter of weather or not the two of you can actually communicate. And by him showing an effort, reguarless of misprounciation, it shows that apparently the 2 of you have your very own distinguished language. So there shouldn't be any problems with that. If you feel that it "MIGHT" be a problem, then by all means, CREAT A VIDEO in a VHS - NTSF tape, about 15 minutes long, showing the two of you communicating. It doesn't matter what the two of you talk about, just kepp it (G) rated Please We are convinces that the VO's don't take too kindly to soft porn LMAO But seriously, Explain to him that upon stepping up to the window, if he will initiciate the conversation by saying something like; "Good Morning Sir / Ma'am, How are you this morning" it will more than likely be a smooth start for the both of them. Let the VO reply, and then if the VO should ask, how well he can speak english, if he replies to something like this: " I can speak a little english, but I my chinese is much Better" I am sure that will bring a smile to the VO's face, for it shows the honesty. Let him know that if there is a question that he doesn't understand or doesn't know how to reply in english, IT IS OK that he tells the VO in chinese; "I'm sorry, can you repeat that question in Chinese, I do not know how to reply to that in English", and more likely than not, the VO will be happy to assist. Also, it can not hurt, & I STRONGLY SUGGEST tha the BOTH of you pull out the list of 95 possible questions that COULD, WOULD or WILL be asked & PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE!! And when you ar done, PRACTICE some more. The goal here is that by the day of the interview, you should be able to toss any one or any series of those questions at him, in any mixed up order & he be able to, with out having to think, reply back to you the correct answer with out missing a beat. Hope this helps.
  19. The best reccomendation yet and we'd be delighted to assist him in any way that we can
  20. I have to agree with most of you on the keeping quiet deal, but being in the information Technology field, more often than not, those that get bitten by identity theft, wrong information placed on their criminal records, etc, often fall victom because of not paying attention to securing their Identiy and their movements. Every day, millions of people are tracked by the paper trail that they leave behind. A credit card purchase, an email to whom ever, an ATM Usage, or even a simple and more often than not, an unprtected purchase at the fule pump or airline ticket, and even a cell phone call. Almost everything that we do in our day to day life, IS TRACEABLE. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out. All it takes is a first & or last name, a copy of a credit card purchase reciept (even if it only shows the last 4 digits) or someone knowing your cell phone or Home number, a partial birthdate, & the unscrupulous person can make your life a living hell. I see this sort of thing every day and it just chaps my ass to see that people refuse to acknowlege that as long as their are numbers and a name involved, You are open to attacks. Now you might think that just because you or your SO has filed for a US Visa, that the information is held confidential. Surprisingly though, it's public records. At any time, (if you know the issuing Office, Denver, Huston, LA, etc) all it takes is a little effort online to gain access to all of the current OPEN APPLICATION PENDING APPROVAL, or all APPLICATIONS APPLIED FOR, and it is all that she wrote. That open information, once obtained, reveals SSN, Addresses of both parties, the date the Application was entered, the Whole 9 yards. PEOPLE!! PEOPLE!! WAKE UP & SMELL THE REALITY HERE!! The Only way that you can keep your SO Safe during this already High Stressed ordeal is to do all that you can to keep the identities TO YOURSELVS!! The Only time that you reveal what is going on Is Way After the Fact. NEVER Give out your PENDING Interview date, or The Actual Date, until SHE HAS THE PAPERS IN HER HAND and prefrably After She is on the Plane on her way. If you have already married in China, Hey Great!! COngrats, But Don't be Stupid. Now is not the time to drop your guard. Just because you are married, doesn't always mean the US has got to approve her. To be safe, if you must tell someone about the two of you going to the states, Tell each Other, by yourselves, or only 1st level family members that you know you can trust to keep the secret & understand the sesitivity of the process. I know that what I am saying seems a little mellow Dramatic, BUT THINK ABOUT IT!! look at all of those who have gotten those 3rd party denials. You yourselfs agree, THE CHINESE PEOPLE ARE NOT STUPID, and for many of them THEY ARE NOSEY. That is who they are, that is their culture. Should we trash their ways of thinking or opperating? NO!! It's their god given right to be who they are, just as it is our to be who we are. But, if you are going to protect the one person or persons that you hold so dear to your heart, Then for god sakes, DO SO!!! THINK, PLAN, The put the PLAN INTO MOTION! Only then I feel that we can all come closer to the 100% success rate of all fo our SO's Comming home
  21. So many times than not, My So & I read about so many people getting the Blue slip or worse. Although we feel luck may play a part, it has only got to be a small part in weather or not you will be granted the guaranteed pink (Red Actually, at least that was the color of ours). What can it be that is causing so many to be denied or delayed? How can they increase their chances of being guaranteed the pink? Well, we are definitely no experts on this subject, but with all of our research, data gathering, and the tracking of our own information, we feel that the way we went about it, just may have been one of the strong keys that got us through this initial process with seemingly, little resistance. With that being said, please indulge me for a bit and lets just see. Maybe one of the new comers to this may want to try this method & test our theory, keep us (CFL) in the loop of each step that you take, and then in the end, compare notes. We began by finding each other of course, that was the easy part. But what laid ahead was more of a series of confusing mazes with various obstacles and hurdles that would make even the strongest Olympian quiver at the knees. Once we knew in our hearts that no matter what came our way, or what was in our way, no matter what, WE WERE GOING TO BE TOGETHER, PERIOD. So we began looking into all of the formality and political BS and requirements and made it our goal and determination to make sure, that no matter what, what ever information that we submitted, no matter how it was read, there would be absolutely no way humanly possible for our case to be misinterpreted ands would leave no doubt in anyone¡¯s mind (even the most skeptic analytical mind) that we were 100% genuine and that we definitely filled all of the qualifications. After obtaining all of the required forms for the K-1 Visa, we read & reread, joined CFL, read some more, asked as many questions as we could possibly think of, (No matter how stupid they may seemed, even if we were 100% sure that we knew the answer too) just so that we could have the peace of mind of knowing that what we were doing was in fact, filling all of the empty spaces and questions that were being asked of us. It was almost like preparing for a final exam. We were determined to walk away with an A+. Here is how we prepared our case: After each and every chat, weather it was on Yahoo, MSN, AIM etc, We would not only record that chat into it's own electronic file, but we set up a filing cabinet, (Both electronically as well as an actual one that sits next to my computer. Each chat was given a number (Date - Time - length). Sometimes, there would be more than one chat a day, hence, the reason for the format. These chats were then placed, in order, into their respective month & Day Yellow envelope, which was then filed in that day's section. Phone conversations - We would both write down our synopsis of our views as to what we had talked about & then filed that as well into that days section. Emails - We would copy & paste them into MS Word, date it, & file that with a heading of the general topic which was used to name the email. Postal Letters - Done the same way; Scanned into the system, photo copied, labeled, photo taken of the Envelope to show proof of delivery and it's contents, then filed in that days section under "Postal receipts" When we had decided to meet, we kept a daily log on the progress of the planning stages in a journal type book, which we recorded the dates, time, the websites visited, the telephone numbers and the name of the place that we called as well as the name of each person that we spoke to. This way, we would have a complete record of this part of the process. As I booked my plane tickets, all of this information was also added to this book, along with the flight schedule, the ticketing agent¡¯s name, etc. Although some might say that this was a bit of over kill, I can not help but think that having this information help us considerably. When I made the flights, I would record photos, their # and what they were of and at which location they were taken. I would do this also for when she & I were together, and at one point, we hired a local friend to go with us just about every where, to take photographs of what ever we said that we wanted, (even photos of things that they felt would feel that I would someday look back and say, hey, I remember that) and they too would also write down in a book as to the image number and of what it was along with it¡¯s date & time. We did all of this religiously throughout the entire process. Every time that I would make the trip, the process would be repeated. Even when I went there for three and a half months and when I taught there, everything was recorded. Each trip, was recorded and Registered with our State Department travel site, http://www.travel.state.gov, not only for the obvious reason as stated on their website; (Registration at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate (in the country you are visiting) makes your presence and whereabouts known, in case it is necessary for a consular officer to contact you in an emergency. During a disaster overseas, American consular officers can assist in evacuation were that to become necessary. But they cannot assist you if they do not know where you are. Registration is particularly important for those who plan to stay in a country longer than one month, or who will travel to: *A country that is experiencing civil unrest, has an unstable political climate, or is undergoing a natural disaster, such as an earthquake or a hurricane. *A country where there are no U.S. officials. In such cases, you should register at the U.S. embassy or consulate in an adjacent country, leave an itinerary with the Consular Section, ask about conditions in the country that you will visit and ask about the third country that may represent U.S. interests there. If you are traveling with an escorted tour to areas experiencing political uncertainty or other problems, find out if your tour operator is registering your trip through the State Department¡¯s travel registration website . If it is not, or if you are traveling on your own, you can still register with the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate through the State Department¡¯s travel registration website .) but also, as I found out through my Senator¡¯s office, DOS will also check this site¡¯s registrations for Visa Applicants, check for consistencies in regards to airline booking records, check-in reports and receipts from the foreign local city¡¯s public records to see if you actually went. As well as check with their local Visa offices to see if you at any time extended your visa, and if so, on what day and for how long. What I didn¡¯t know was in China, when you go to extend your visa, they record if you were alone and, if you were with someone, they will ask the person whom you are with, their name & their address and then record that information into the computer to be used for the various government uses. So it defiantly came to our advantage to be sure and have me register at the local police station as well as have her along to if not to assist me, at least to have her presence known for verifying that what we were applying for, was definitely a bonafide relationship. So, by all means Be sure that you REGISTER HERE!!! When I had submitted the initial I-129, I-130, I-134, (all at the same time) (About a 40 pound Box the Size of a Ream of Paprer Box), I had included copies of all of the above records, and even went so far as to have everything notarized; Phone records, Phone bill, Chat messages, Plane tickets, copies of the divorce papers, letter of intent to marry, employers letter, employers employment verification, the past 3 years tax statements as well as copies of the entire years check stubs, and last but not least, a full and complete banking statements from the past 3 years along with a letter from my bank and their side of the story. All of this was notarized in their respective offices, and as far as the chat messages, emails, postal letters and their copies of the photos, I took all of this to my local Governor¡¯s office and had them notarize them there. (This way, when DOS looked for authenticity, it would be very difficult for them to refuse something that was authorized, verified and Notarized in one of their own Government offices. After we received our NOA2, the waiting process began. One month, two months, three¡. . By the end of the third month, I was already at my wits end with no word as to just what was going on. Adding to this, I was reading various horror stories on CFL about how so many others had been waiting much longer that we had been and how they were just not getting anywhere. It was at this point I decided, Bull Shit. There was no way that I was just going to stand in line and take what ever was handed me. I knew that if I was going to get anywhere in this process of Stone Wall Politically Incorrect Process, I was going to have to step outside the box, and step up and raise some Noise. What ever it took to make sure that we were getting the attention we deserved, no matter if it was good or bad. One way or another we were going to get some answers. So, with a little help from the various members here and their attempt to put together a letter to Mrs. Harty¡¯s office, I took excerpts from the various members that were willing to offer up their own insights from the various information that they had gathered, compiled it all together and then teamed up with a friend of mine that worked at a local News Room for a television station. I paid them about $500.00 to help me to put together a preliminary news special report video that not only was naming names, but dates, places and various cases and a few of the political BS that was being used against our fellow Visa applicants, but our government was willingly and freely accepting money for the applications, gaining much profits from all of this. In this Botched news Report, it was showing how both Americans & the Chinese petitioners were actually being treated like cattle and then, when all of the hopes were at their breaking point, they were being slaughtered by far to many denials. About 80% higher than any other County in the world. As well as how every year, approximately 20,000 Americans will leave the USA by deporting themselves to china, just because of the BS that was going on. And if they were to look at the numbers, each year, the United States will lose almost $800 Million dollars in revenue to those American, taking with them their skills, their knowledge, not to mention the Billion¡¯s of dollars in assets they have combined, just to go to be with their loved one. And for a Country that is struggling so hard to stay on top, it really can not afford to continue to drive away it¡¯s very own life¡¯s blood, if it wished to survive. It also contained Names, account numbers and various addresses of those Americans that had in previously in years before, were driven off or who¡¯s petitions that had been mistakenly denied for bogus reasons with out any further investigations as to the credibility of the findings. (This information is made public knowledge at the library of Congress as well as the Various Public records where the District offices are located for Visa Petitions) Yes, you will have to do a bit of extensive research, but trust me, it¡¯s well worth the effort & time Once the Video was completed, the devious little deviant that I am, I commenced to make copies of not just the video, but also copies of the Letter that we had created and then sent these copies to not just my Governor¡¯s and Senator¡¯s offices, but also to my Congressman¡¯s office as well, Federal Express ¨C Urgent ¨C Overnight Delivery, Signature of Receipt, Hand Delivery to the name on the package. I made it clear and had them Guarantee that it was NOT to be accepted by ANY secretary, but to the actual person. This way they knew that I knew that this package had to pass into their hands. And to make matters even better, I had labels placed on them that read; ¡°CONFIDENTIAL¡±, ¡°FOR YOUR EYES ONLY¡± & ¡°IMMEDIATE ATTENTION REQUIRED¡± (it helps to know someone in one of these high political office that knows how to make sure something is actually seen) I plainly stated in this package that should they not want this video to make both local & news headlines on the 6 O¡¯Clock News, that I strongly suggest that they take the initiative & find out just what the deficiency was & get it correctly, or the instructions as to how to obtain the information that was in the video would be released to every member of our forum as well as every other Visa forum that I was affiliated with, which contained currently approximately well over 12,000 members. Of which of those members, were currently getting the Stone Walled tactics from just about every US Embassy World Wide. And that should this information reach them, it could dramatically change just how the American public Voted, come next election. It didn¡¯t take more than 2 weeks to begin getting phone calls from these office for verification, and then followed by urgent letters requesting affidavit of permission for them to be able to gain what ever information they needed in regards to our case. After about 2 and 1/2 months I began getting regular status reports as to the who, what, where, when & whys. All of them including various letters of apologies and promises to keep a close eye out for any miss-handling of our case. During this time, both the SO & I would write various e-mails to the Great GUZ religiously once a week demanding that we be given a current status report and informing them that the various Government officials here in the states were made well aware of their typical blaton and impersonal replies. Of course, we still received them until about 3 weeks out from when we received our P3 notification. It was at this point when things began to take a change for the better. Each time we wrote them an email for a status report, we would receive almost a perfect personalized email stating the current situation and as to it¡¯s status, and for us to check back with them in a week or two if we had not heard from them. When we received the P4, about 3 months later (give or take) we were, of course, truly thankful. But what really caught our attention was the fact that our Governor¡¯s office had sent me a personal letter stating that should my SO run into any issues at the interview, for us to call her on her Cell phone immediately and inform her of the situation, the reason, the VO¡¯s # & name, & she would personally handle the matter. So, on the day of the interview, my SO said that she was there, scared to death that someone was going to pick her out of the crowd & maybe do something to her. I reassured her that there was nothing to worry about and for her just to keep her cell phone by her side and follow the directions from the Governor. So as she went up to the 4th floor of the Embassy, she said that she was greeted by a guard that told her, NO CELL PHONES ALLOWED, and was demanded for her to put hers in a bag. So my SO handed him the sealed envelope that our Governor told us to hand to him, he opened it she said, looked at it & then escorted her personally over to window # 34 to a white American, and the process began. 20 minutes later, it was done. She had the Red (Pink Slip) in her hand & was told that she must be one lucky women to have a fianc¨¦ to be willing to lay it all on the line just for her, and Welcome to the United States. My SO said that she was totally confused by all of this as she just did not understand just what had happened. (I for the most part, kept her in the dark for fear that she would have gotten her hopes up & then Crushed if it had all blown up in our faces. I just couldn¡¯t do that to her, so I just kind of kept it to myself and worked it from behind the scenes) She said that she had offered the VO some coffee, in which he told her that he could use some. Offered to show him some photos of us, in which he refused. Offered to hand him her passport, in which he got a little snappy with her by telling her that if he had wanted it, he would have asked for it. At which point, she said that she just knew that her visa was going to be denied. So she waited there patiently for him to do what ever he was doing, then asked her only one question, ¡°How many times has your SO been to China? ¡° in which she replied to him, 3 times & then gave him the exact dates & times. A few more minutes of silence & then he picked up a HUGE BOX (the one I had initially sent in when I had filed) and said to her, congratulations, you may pick up your Visa in 2 days. So, with all of that drama, if you will, I can not help but think that if you do not get your local gov involved, and if you do not make sure that you dot your eyes, cross your tees & C.Y.A. ,(cover your Ass), you are only setting yourself up for an almost guaranteed denial. But, that¡¯s just my thoughts. When asked by my family and friends that if I had to do it all over again, would I? All I can tell them is Hell Yes, even with my arms & legs cut of, I would find a way to do it.
