1. Thanks I guess the next question is if she does not stop working what can happen.
2. I got a late jump on filling for the EAD renewal, will my wife have to quit her job if she does not get approval before her card expires?
3. I said it once if I said it a thousand times; "when they say jump!; you say how high?" 179902 ya but the problem is after I jump I come down on the poll right in the AHole an it don't feel good

5. Well I got a letter back today from my senator that says he is checking into it and has contacted USCIS and will get back to us when he has more info. The sad thing is he was writing to my wife and called her "Mr" now my wifes name is "Man" but she is not a male.
6. Wow .. that sucks. Have you spoken with a lawyer yet? Normally, I'm a DIY guy for immigration stuff, but that's a long wait if you have no one to contact ... 176252 no not yet my next step will be to contact a few news outlets or worst case piss somebody off that seems to work a lot of the time in other walks of life.
7. I am sitting at about 1 year in AOS "name Check" 2 weeks ago I sent out about 6 letters to different people complaining still no response. hell I even called the number for the FBI all I got was a recording to leave info, that was 4-6 months ago, where do we go to raise hell and be heard.
8. Now if we could just get some representation for other agencies like USCIS,FBI,Senator & Reps etc...
9. you will find many opinions for and against a pre-nup the best thing you can do is educate yourself on what it means and make your own choice, this does not mean listen to everyone here or 001, search the web talk to lawyers etc.

11. My wife has issues with washing underwear and socks together, I am in the mind set that if it has been in the dish/clothes washer it is clean and safe to use.
12. Some states require a waiting period after a divorce before you can remarry. I know for Wisconsin it was 6 months which was not a problem for me since the K-1 took almost a year.
13. To whom it may concern: I am writing this letter on behalf of my wife who has been patiently waiting for her conditional green card. I will start by stating we have followed each and every step the Government puts in place to make sure my wife does everything IAW the law, so far it has cost us an extra $365 to file for additional benefits because our system has failed us. What I mean by this is we applied for her conditional green card over a year ago using the DORA(Dallas Office of Rapid Adjustment) which is only supposed to take 90 days well here it is over a year later and in that time we have had to spend money to get her an EAD card so she can work and now we just spent more money so she can get her AP to travel home to visit her family and here in a few weeks we will have to spend an additional $180 to renew her EAD because it has taken so long to approve the conditional green card. We made an inquiry at the local USCIS office as to the status of her application all they said was it was stuck in ¡°FBI background check¡± they could not give us any time estimate, I really fail to see how it can take over a year for these checks to take place when they have already been done a couple times just for her to get a visa in the first place. If we really look at this close, why are these checks even being done? We have so many illegal people coming across our southern border that don¡¯t have ¡°Background Checks¡± being done aren¡¯t we really just wasting the Americans tax dollar on a feel good effort, until you have sealed our southern border any efforts you make by harassing the people coming to this country legally is nothing more then a total waste of American tax dollar in the name of 9-11 which amounts to a very expensive excuse.
14. You might also try a SO of one of the people here that have already gone through that part of te process.
15. "A horse is a horse of course unless of course the horse is Mr Ed" Was Mr Ed a white horse?
16. I think the reason they asked this question is not because they have been beaten by ex-, but because they heard horrible stories about Chinese women married to abusive American husbands. The soup is spoiled by one bad tomato, or egg, or whatever.(Don't remember the origianl saying. ) 169807 I think the Jackson 5 said it best " One bad apple don't spoil the whole bunch girl"
17. This sounds like a good question to put before our GUZ person. They would be the best answer.
18. When I spoke to the woman at the USCIS help desk she said the AR-11 was for people that already had CGC/GC and I needed to send letter to my local office where I applied at.
19. Send the change of address(not AR-11) to the office where you filled for AOS. also change your own address as the petitioner. then call the helpless line after a week or so to verify. We also moved in the middle of AOS.
20. 1) For a K1 visa, if the couple frequently uses the terms "lao po" and "lao gong" (wife and husband) in email and correspondence ? 2) For a K1 visa, many couples have an 'unoffical' ceremony and pictures taken of this event. If these pictures were shown at the interview, would that be confusing to a VO (might think they got married) ? 3) The USC giving money to help support the beneficiary while they are waiting. The OF-171 states "Receipts for money orders the petitioner has sent you from United States" , but it is not clear if this can be used against the case since the motive for sending money is not asked for. I can say for these 3 would not work for me 1.my wife did not start calling me Lao Gong until the last trip when I brought her home. 2.we also did not get pic's until after the interview. 3.she refused to take my money.
21. there is Dear Mr. name removed, Thank you for contacting the Citizenship and Immigration Services Ombudsman. The Ombudsman is dedicated to identifying systemic problems in the immigration benefits process and recommending solutions to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services ("USCIS"). Our office echoes the sentiments of President George W. Bush that together 'as a nation that values immigration and depends on it, we should have immigration laws that work and make us proud.' If you are experiencing difficulty with a particular immigration case, please utilize the following resources before submitting a case status inquiry to the Ombudsman: 1) The USCIS National Customer Service Center may be accessed online at http://uscis.gov/graphics/services/NCSC.htm or by calling (800) 357-5283 2) The USCIS.gov online case status may be accessed at https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/index.jsp. These sources of information can resolve many frequently asked questions including: what are the appropriate forms to file, where is the proper place to file your forms, as well as give information regarding the status of a particular case. After using these resources, if you still wish to submit an inquiry to the Citizenship and Immigration Services Ombudsman, please send a formal typed or written inquiry via US mail in accordance with the instructions contained on our website: http://www.dhs.gov/cisombudsman. We will review your inquiry and if appropriate, forward it to USCIS for further action. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you.
22. As a whole CFL is a pretty informed group and organized in so much as we got the attention of the "GZ", now as for why they are here I think it is to be their voice of reason or maybe to cool some heads before we create issues that may cause unneeded trouble at GZ (you know the squeaky wheel) however I don't think they have the time and effort to track those here that bad mouth them to take vengeance against them otherwise many of us would have had more trouble, maybe we should focus our frustrations at the embassy in Beijing to open more consulates for K-visa's.
23. http://observer.guardian.co.uk/focus/story...1593217,00.html 166105 A sniplet for the article Snip....... She admits to being surprised by the Cosmopolitan findings, suspecting that men are probably not being entirely truthful. 'I've seen many men who've said they are just friends with someone, only to later discover that they have in fact slept with the person,' she says. 'Guys often just don't acknowledge it. 'Because the female continues to be friends with them it somehow seems to cancel it out. I think their perception of what it is to be friends is different from women's. The parameters are different. 'There will always be exceptions, but often men think that sex is included as part of a friendship.' Snip......
