  1. I seen the same thing when my wife was in China her entire back was black and blue I thought she had been beat. But she swears that it works, I guess they used a spoon and drug it down her back leaving a lot of bruises. Looks bad but don't worry.
  2. you might get a NOA we did not and ended up getting a stamp. As for the address change we moved shortly after we filed for her 2yr GC we just did the AR11 as well as called it in and of course did a follow up call to insure they had it correct and when we filled for EAD we checked again in person. If you know your new address before you file send it along with the packet with a date when it is effective that is what I did for the K-1 visa packet because she moved during that process, of course we knew new address first.

  4. Yes it was not intended to insult I found it entertaining how religiously you kept it on track.
  5. Even with the Nazi like guiding to keep this on topic, I have not found much info in this thread. So I will ask with a bit more focus. We have sent in the N-400 and filled in the area for name change. However from what I understand the judge does not change the name they just sign the name change petition you need to file with you state. I have the forms for name change in my state so does she bring them with her or file them etc. We are changing her whole name first, last and middle. her name = a b my name = d e f her nickname= c her new name = c b f Make sense?

  12. Today I went into my wifes infopass appt to get her I-551 stamp, I asked this same question the response was "She can file before she gets her 10 yr GC, however it(the citizenship app) will be placed on hold until her GC has been issued"
  13. This is the USCIS they never make mistakes only excuses, I did call them they said the system is about 15 weeks behind schedule, so I am waiting, just a little bit longer to here the next excuse. We had our infopass appt and she got a stamp in her passport. I also asked about applying for citizenship and they said we can apply when she is eligible however it will be placed on hold until she has her 10yr GC issued, what a messed up system.
  14. Can you send one to my wife, we have been waiting awhile
  15. Unless of course she has had the I-797 for more then 1 year.

  17. Most service centers are no longer giving the stamp. My wife recently traveled to China on the expired visa with her I-751 receipt. She had no problems! Really we are still waiting for the reciept now about 12 weeks what do you think the odds are if they will send a copy and if no copy and no stamp then what?
  18. MRMC Have you recieved your NOA1 yet I am still waiting.
  19. I would not mention about the baby, Yes it is a wonderful family event........that may entice a visitor to over stay their visa. Remember they are looking for any reason to say no, so just mention about all the things you will bring them to see (tourist sites) and how you wish they could stay longer but you understand they have a home in China to take care of. Oh ya and congrats on the baby.
  20. I remember when I was in the Military there was always the "Privacy act statement" you had to sign any time the SS was asked for on a form, if GUZ is asking for a SS I would think they should also be providing the "Privacy act statement" and to ask an Ex to provide the SS of the other Ex is I would think to be illegal maybe I am wrong but I know I would not want my SS being freely given to anyone without my consent. http://www.usdoj.gov/oip/privstat.htm
  21. I would have to say Chinese movies are just as violent only they use Kung Fu instead of a pistol fu. Western culture did not invent violence. It has been around since Cain & Able!
  22. Do you have a reference for that Dave? Jim, what the heck you doing in your avatar?? Last time I purchased rice was last month in Houston. Paid $16 something for a 25 pound bag of Jasmine. Anyone know what the current price is now for similar? today I saw Sams had a price tag of $20 for 50lb bag but only 1 bag left, Korean food store was $8 to $22 and the Chinese store we went to was $22 for 25lbs
