  1. David: I looked through all our P3 docs again and didn't see any request for the telegraphic code on any P3 forms. Which P3 document did you see this in? Perhaps I am missing something. The reason why I needed this was because I put the telegraphic codes on my fiance's application ..but when he asked me which code was for his first name and which for his last, I couldn't remember if I wrote the codes as Lin Zhao or Zhao Lin. If you find the p3 document please let me know I don't want him to go to the interview with missing info. Thanks again Toni 236723[/snapback] As I know the only document needs telegraphic code is GIV-24 which is in P4.
  2. About preparing all the required document before you send 230 back to GUZ, My own experience, I got the infomation or shortcut from Visajourney, was just send P3 back to GUZ as soon as I could. Then I started to prepare my Police Certification and I-864, anyway the validity for Police paper is one year. The next day I sent out my P3 to GUZ as soon as I recieved it from GUZ, then in 1 month and 9 days I got my P4. After got P4 I went to get Physical done and my husband got his I-864 notarized in GUZ consulate. DCFer will get the P4 very soon!!
  3. Congratulation! There. You've been waiting for it too long and you guys deserve it!!!
  4. There are very clear explaination both in English and Chinese in P4 what your SO should take with her at the physical. Like, interview letter with your case number on,marriage certificate, passport size pictures, second part of DS-230, GIV-24,notarized certificates, copy of the passport and so on. Just please check out you P4. There are instructions both in Chinese and English. Definitely don't need 10 pounds of paperwork.
  5. when we filled out this form my husband used two or three lines to explain about his company's address both in China and Houston. So I don't see any problem to use 3 lines to expain one thing clearly.

  7. I agree C4racer that DHL is a better courier than UPS in China. Since DHL has set up more work stations than UPS in China, especially in most main cities. I am living in Shenzhen, one of the most developed cities of China. As I know here more people use DHL than UPS. Also, EMS is a good choice too, as long as you can find it abroad. Since EMS comes from China Post. So the work stations of EMS is all over the country, even in the remote villages.
  8. Hi there, Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. My husband got two copies of I864 notarized in GUZ consulate on 29th June,2006. He walked in the Consulate at morning 9:00 and handed them the copies, wait by himself for 20 minutes or so. One officer came back to him and handed him the notarized copies without any questiones and without any fare charged. So it's pretty easy!
  10. The version of my story was: I filled it out in English except it requires the Chinese names. It wasn't any problem.
  11. For the ID numbers differenc that is normal. Because since end of last centry China started to reform the ID system, and extend the digitals for every ID number from 15 digitals to 18 digitals. For example: 320102720208899 is the old ID number, the red part is the birth date of the holder. Now the govement put 3 more digitals in it to:32010219720208899 6(or a letter). But the old ID number is still valid. About the empty Passport, also i don't say anyproblem. I just got my CR1 visa on my empty passport.
  12. Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!! It will be very easy for you at the interview! Just be relax and be yourself and you guys will get it in 2 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!

  14. Okay! So after I landed at USA and got the stamp showing the LPR. I can use my Chinese passport with LPR stamp on to enter USA again or as many times as i want within the expiration date of my CR1 visa(I-551). Is it right? Of course, I know once i receive my 2 year greencard, this is not a problem anymore. Thanks very much!!!

  17. July 10, 2006: Interview!!!!! APPROVED IN 5 MINUTES!!!!! In the morning 6:50 we walked in the one of the lines front of the Tianyu building. There were 80,90people already there. I am very happy and appreciate my husband that he was always with me in the line although it was very hot and humid. 7:30 the security guards started give numbers and let people walk into the building. I walked into the building at 7:38.(my husband tells me this time. Since he was there behind the crowds and watched me untile I went in to the building) On the fourth floor another guard took my number (16) back, and I kept waiting. Walked into the fifth floor's visa interview hall at 8:20 or so. That means I had been waiting for 40 to 50 minutes to get in the hall from fourth floor. It was very hot even inside of the building, so if you are weak you'd better take some water with you, although the sign says no water can be taken into the building. When I walked in the interview hall , there was one guard had started calling the people¡¯s names and send to the assigned windows to open the physical envelope and get another number, which is the interview number, I got my number was 1010 about 8:30. So I think GUZ had made the interview order in advance. Got my fingers prints soon too by a Asian-American man who speaks very standard Chinese. Later around 9:00 all the people in the hall took the oath together, and then VO started seating behind the windows and began the day¡¯s interview. 9:25 or so my number was showed on the screen to go to window 24. My VO was an Asian man at his middle thirty¡¯s. VO: Morning! Me: Mornign! VO: Can you speak English? Me: Yes, I can. Handed him in both My husband¡¯s and my passports, while he was checking I took all my paper works out of my big bag and laid out properly on the small counter. Soon he returned my husband¡¯s passport back to me. Since I couldn¡¯t hear him clearly I complained it to him after he adjusted the speaker, again we started. VO: How did you know each other? Me: We are working in the same office. VO: How long has he been in China? Me: Over two and a half years. VO: When will his assignment finish? Me: End of this year. VO: Good. He rapidly flipped the pile of the document front of him and asked me: Did you give me the Affidavit of support? Me: Not yet. VO: Okay, give it to me. I handed over to him a pile of files which all are about finance support evidences that my husband took a lot time to prepare. He looked like didn¡¯t have time to see anything else but only took out the I864 and tax return. Then he handed me the red slip. That was all. He didn¡¯t ask any pictures, letters, emails¡¡. I walked out of Taiyu building at 9:40 and told my husband this good news at the coffee shop right next to the building. We are very happy. Did we make the record?:) We were very very luck finding this website four months ago. And CFL is the most important reason of our case's fast success. We can't make it without you guys. Thanks!!! Candle for love!!! You guys are always in our hearts.
