  1. On Dec.19th 2006 we flight back to USA from China through LA this time. I was holding my Chinese passport with my CR1 Visa, went to USA in Sept. 2006 at the first time through San Francisco and got the immigration stamp there. I also knew that my Green Card has already been sent to my USA home in Nov. 2006, but didn't ask to mail it to China. Once we got off the flight at LA, both of us were not sure which line I should go through at the immigration hall. So we asked a lady who was directing the traffic, also showed her my stamped CR1 Visa, she told me and my husband go to the new immigration line, we did so, my husband stayed with me in the same line all the time. There were 20 or so front of us holding there yellow gray envelopes. Around 5 minutes late the officer was taking care of the new immigrants standed up from his seat and asked does everone in this line come to USA for the first time, we answered him immediately that I am the second time, He walked over to us and checked my passport, then told us go back to the citizen line, we should not have walked in the new immigrants line at the first time.
  2. Chinese forum: http://usa.bbs.net/bbs/01/index.html, here called it as 001. The Chinese Admin: &Mywife& helps Chinese SOs fill out all kind of forms. And also there are instructions in 001 to assist your Chinese Sos fill out all forms.
  3. Yes. Your Chinese SO's Police certificat has to be translated into English and notarized in the local notary office. As for Tax, someone else may know better.
  4. Hi, check out this website: http://www.testquestionsandanswers.com/dri...se/georgia.html
  5. As I know in Houston, I have the Houston Driver's Handbook, before taking any tests, you have to pay fee first, and get SSN at least, valid united states immirgration document with photo on or birth certificate, physical description, thumprints, residene address and mailing address...... and lots of driving practices or just go to internet and find the driver's handbook of your state. Good luck!
  6. Could you please check out the the Registration Number on your wife's Visa, it's right under IV Case Number(GUZ number), see if the 8 digits number(xxxxxxxx) is same as the A number( A0xxxxxxxx) on your wife's welcome letter. If yours are not the case, so mines is just a rare coincidence. Then the answer will be more clearer. Thanks!
  7. I got three # on my CR1 Visa as Paula does. When I later in Houston got my welcome letter, there were two important numbers: 1. Receipt#(or Tracking #) WAC-07-001-XXXXX. 2. Alien Registration #: A0xx-xxx-xxx, the "xx-xxx-xxx" in Alien Registration # is exactly same as the Registration Number on my CR1 Visa. So I suppose for CR1, at least the Registration Number assigned on your Visa is the Alien Registration Number (or so called "A" number). Correct me please!
  8. I am CR1. When I got my CR1 Visa, the first time ever I see my A number. So for CR1 I think they assign an A number when they give me the Visa.
  9. Great News!!!! Congratulations!!!!
  10. My neighbor didn't say anything was wrong with the envelope. I will check it again! But back September before we left China for Houston I realized that the address on my Yellow Envelope which is supposed to give to customer office at the POE was wrong, it's not my husband's home address. So we altered it to the right one at the POE, San Francisco. My Welcome letters came later were postmarked OCT 3rd with the proper address. So Something was wrong anyway!! Hopefully, simplely it was just sent to the wrong address.
  11. Just opened my mail box and saw my neighbour's mail from Houston : Guess what came? Green card is finaly in the mail box, but the weired thing is it is postmarked OCT. 3 which is the same postmarks as my welcome letters. She also told us it was on top of the mail in our box on Saturday. So, she doesn't know if it was placed there by someone who got it in their mailbox or if it was "found" in the system. It's been late for over 50 days!! My husband would guess our proficient mail sorters/carriers put the damn thing in someone else's mailbox and it's been sitting in their home over a month!! Scary!!
  12. Recently, I am watching 001 forum all the time, and find that the DCF's speed in China is getting slow down quite bit. Lots of the Cases get the P2(approval letter) after 2 or 3 month since their submission of I-130. Comparely I waited for 2 or 3 weeks for my approval letter early this year. Then have to wait another 2 or 3 month, may be longer for P3. 020 8518-7651 ex: 7651 this is the Guangzhou consulate's service number for DCF. As for residence permit and F visa, you can give them a call and ask. My husband is holding two things: Work permit and 1 year Z visa. The company applys these documents for him.
  13. Congratulations!! It's a very good news! I am trying to figure out what kind of job I can find over Houston:) right now I am woking in a joint venture(Devon and Cnooc) oil company in China, the Maintenance Assistant for two offshore platforms.
  14. Could anyone tell me which department of US government issues the Green Card and sends it to the beneficiary's home please?
  15. That's my understanding as well David. But I will not let the wife and daughter leave the US without thoser cards either. Thanks for you guys inputs. I noticed Yuanyang's timeline long time ago since we are in Texas too. You really have a very smooth process of it. I am confused about why it's same Texas but different pace. I think David is right. And when we arrived in SF, the POE, we asked the immigration officer that he told us once I get the POE stamp on the CR1 visa, this visa is as my one year green card. So I can hold it as the re-entry document. We are keeping close attention to our mail, while our nice neighbour takes very good care of the mails too. So right now we can only do is waiting for it. As calling USICS, since we are now both in China, I am not sure if we can dail 800 number from here in China? Any suggestions please?
  16. I and my husband arrived in US on 6th Sept. 06, I was holding my CR1 visa for the firt time entered into US, since we are both working in China, we came back to China 1st Oct. and right now we are still in China untill 18th December 06. On 6rd Oct. I got two welcome letters in our Houston home which our neighbour is taking care of the mail for us, told me I am supposed to get my Green Card in a month, but so far I am still not seeing my two-year Green card. I am not even expacting to see my SS Card shows in the mail ever. I don't know how long I have to wait? Being bothered.........
