4. Hi Aaron, I and my hubby is going through the DCF in GUZ. Herewith our process so far, hope it is helpful for you. And I am glad to help you for any questions that we can do for you, just let us know. CR-1 Direct Consulate Filing in GUZ Lin/ Shen Zhen Hukou Jim/ Houston USA ( Working in Shen Zhen with work permit and resident permit) 2006 March 28 submitted our I-130 to GUZ consulate and they accepted it. Herewith the list what I submitted accompanied with I-130: Origianl Books: ( GUZ consulated requires all of it, because we phoned CO and went to GUZ once on Mar. 23 06) Lin's 1, Passport 2, Divorce Book 3, Marriage Book 4, Birth certificate issued by a Sub-police sation of Shen Zhen Public Security Beruea, where my Hukou is located. I don't have a Birth Certificate, was not born in hospital instead of at home. ( Kept by CO) Jim's 1, Birth certificate (kept copy) 2, Passport (kept copy with all pages ) 3, Work Permit (kept copy) 4, Marriage Book (kept copy) 5, Divorce Decree (kept copy) Notary certificate: ( kept all by CO) 1, Divorce Notary ( one Direct and one In-direct) 2, Marriage Notary ( one Direct and one In-direct) 3, Birth Notary 4, Birth Certiticate issued by Police station Notary Of course, I-130 G-325A ( Jim) with a passport photo G-325A ( Lin) with a passport photo Paid $190 by cash, not sure when can get the approved mail from CO one week or one month? Any questions let me know. DCF(CR-1) GUZ Timeline: Mar.28, 2006: Handed in I-130 for CR-1 and paid $190 by cash. Apr.13, 2006: Petition (CR1) approved by US Department of Homeland Security. (Form I-171) Apr.18, 2006: Sent Packet 3 out by GZ with DS-230 form and form 169 in. Apr.21, 2006: Sent P3 [DS-230(1 copy) and of 169, a EMS coversheet with my detailed address, I copied the sheet so I can tract P4 in the future ] back to GZ ( No.1 South Shamian Rd.). Made copy for every form after filled in. About the P3...there is a lot of information pages inside. Nothing very important. You need the DS-230 Part I. It's very short. Only one page. It has writing on the front and on the back. It's very easy to fill out. Mostly information about you. The OF-169 is a list of things you need to collect to bring to the interview. You only need to sign the paper and mail it back to Guangzhou with the DS-230. The OF-169 is in chinese and english. The I-864 is in P3, but you don't need to mail it back. You will take the I-864 with you to the interview. Also thinking probably can make it in four months. If we can make it by then the most important reason is, I found the website: candleforlove and Visajourney. I leaned and got all the information we need, realized we could do DCF the most rapid way to get us together. Basically, the day we submitted our I-130 I clearly knew what will happen and all the procedures in the next months. Also once I got any questions I asked the people on CFL, and got answers and helps swiftly. May 24,2006: Phoned China Visa info center, and told my name check finished on19th May and my case now is back in GUZ. Eligible for interview!! After 19th June GUZ will set up a interview date for me. May 26,2006: Packet 4 send out by GUZ, was told three weeks later I can get it, bit confuse. But it¡¯s a very good news for us.

11. Yes. Read the instructions of every form very carefully and get to know what to do by yourself and the basic procedures to get your SO a visa, then you will feel much better other than worry about making mistake. Keeping in mind, here you can get a lots of help. Good luck! Lin.
12. Hi Frank, 1, Guz will automatically change it to IR1/IR2. 2, I suggest you to start this thread again under Visa Process/ General Visa Disscussion. Because there have more people, talking about all issues about all kinds of thing about to get a Visa. Not many people come here generally. Good luck! Lin
13. Thanks everyone. I am very clear right now. Since I just got my P3 last week and we are doing the DCF. So the I-864 still requires three year tax returns. It may be slightly different to other VISAS. All the best to you. Lin
14. Good luck for you. Hang in there!!!! You can make it!!!
15. I sent a Personal Message to one of the member of CFL yesterday afternoon as bellow and got his kind reply too, but still not quite understand?? QUESTION: Hi, Good afternoon, My Hubby right now is preparing the I-864, Our question is: Do both three years tax returns and the I-864 itself need to be nortaried or only the tax returns? Thanks very much. I am presuming you have done with this form. Lin REPLY: I just notarized the I-864. I included 1 tax return, 4 years of W-2s (the tax statement), and proof of employment. But I've made mistakes before, this is a good question to post in the forums.
16. Got my P3 yesterday, I have two questions: 1. where should i mail P3 back: No.1 Sourth Shaomian Rd. or White Swan hotel? 2. In my P3 packet including two DS-230-Part 1 forms, they are exactly same. Should i fill these two frorms and send both of them or just send one? What did you guys do in your case? Thanks very much! And Good Luck! Lin
17. I think the easier way: you just phone the bank directly and ask them questiones you want to know. Maybe you will get some firsthand informations. should be this one is nearest to GZ consulat office Sub-branch in CITIC Plaza Add: 233 Tian He North Rd., Guangzhou 510613 Fax: 020-87754463 Tel: 020-87521188
18. I asked GUZ here , but never got an answer... http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=15273 208699 Yes, for sure. They require the most recent 3 years income tax return. Quote: You must attach evidence of current employment and copies of income tax returns as filed with the IRS for the most recent 3 tar years for yourself and all persons whose income is listed below. See" Required Evidence" in Instructions. Income from all 3 years will be considered in determining your ability to support the immigrant(s) you are sponsoring. I am a DCFer in GZ, just got my Packet 3 yesterday afternoon. We are happy now!!
19. Congrates!!Congrats!! Feeling happy for you very much!! All the best for your new life.
20. I and my hubby are very happy about getting the Notice of Approval letter from Guz Yesterday afternoon, April 18th, 2006. I want to express my appriciation to all of you guys here, you gave us a lot support. Thank you! I think the next letter is supposed to be P3, but what is in there? If anyone knows give me an idea, so i can prepare it asap. The most important thing is we are happy!!
21. I'm a bit confused by your timeline which indicates K-3. Maybe Chengdu was similarly confused. If you're truly seeking only an immigrant visa (CR-1), you should only be filing the I-130. If you really want a K-3 visa, Chengdu is right in that you need to file both forms. IMHO, going after a K-3 visa if direct consular filing for the CR-1 is really available to you seems unwarranted. 202185 Also, to file the I-129F/K3 you need the I-130 receipt notice... I wondered if Chengdu immediately issued that receipt notice or simply allows the simultaneous filing (or maybe you went back later to file the I-129F). Would like to get clarification on this for the FAQ... thanks.. 202217 I handed in both the I-129F and the I-130 at the same time. A CO looked at the application before they accepted it and the payment. At the time I didn't ask or was told anything by the CO involving what status I was applying for. In prior visits to the consulate I was told and given both forms to fill out for the Immigration process. After talking to the local staff assistant I was left under the impression that I needed to complete both forms. I did ask what status I would be filing under and I was told it would be a K-3. At the time I didn't know the CR-1 status of filing. Knowing what I know now, I assumed incorrectly and could have been given old or bad information by the assistant. (i.e.. DCF results in a CR1 process) Again I never spoke directly with a CO about filing status. The "Notice of Approval Of Relative Immigrant Visa Petition" states nothing about what status I was applying for. Once I received the "P3" it states the preference Category. I hope this helps. B) 202251 Thanks for following up ! Since you already received P3, you should of gotten an I-864 with it.. this would confirm that they think you are CR1 (a K3 uses I-134 instead). Also, make sure you get vaccinations when you do the physical.. needed for CR1... (but not necessarily needed for K3). 202257 I am going to GUZ today to file my I-130, did it last week but failed. And I will let you all know what will happen to my case. Good luck for us!!
