If whoever receives these letters gets more then one that looks exactly the same as the previous letter, it will get tossed in the trash. It needs to be more personal then canned. Just my opinion.

Well I called DOS this morning asking for status of name check. The woman told me that the security clearance is still pending and that this clearance was started in January. She also told me to contact GUZ asking them to please send a follow up email to the security clearance division asking for the name check status, since the name check is at the 3 month max time frame. crossing fingers.......

Rick your experience has not been good with GUZ. Someone should be held responsible for screw ups like what has happened to you. As for our case, we will just sit back, wait, and pray they don't screw this up.

What a horrible screw up. I hope you can take care of this while your in China. They don't realize how much they are screwing with our lives by making mistakes like that. Good luck!

I emailed GUZ last night asking them to please tell me why we not receive P4 yet. I woke up this morning to see an email from them. This is their response. "Thank you for your inquiry! Actually your case is not yet ready to be scheduled for a visa interview. We apologize for the previous email saying the case is ready to be scheduled. Right now we haven't yet completed Ms. XXX's namecheck processing. Please let us know if you have further questions." I feel much better that at least I can stop whining about why the P4 has never showed up yet. But I have been told previously by both DOS and GUZ that she is eligible for interview. Also I have never received an email from GUZ telling me that she was eligible for interview so I'm not sure what they are talking about. I just called DOS and asked them why I was told my fiance was eligible for interview before, but now I'm being told her name check is not completed and is not eligible for interview yet. DOS told me that she was "kinda" eligible because they had received her P3 and all paperwork was complete. But the 2nd name check was not complete so we are NOT eligible for interview yet. Now I know to ask specific questions when I call DOS. I have asked in the past if name check complete and the answer was always "yes". But now I must ask if "2nd name check" is complete. grrrrrr! She has a very common name to I hope this doesn't get hung up in name check black hole.

Guess I won't tell you how many times I received that same email.

So, are you saying that you don't believe they take them in the order they receive them? That would be the fair thing to do, but, I have to admit that I have seen a wide variation in timelines. No way can they be doing it that way. The recent cases that have received P4 did not receive their P3's until after we were already eligible for interview. They must be looking at the original date cases were filed in order to clean up all those older cases. But then again I have seen cases that were almost the same timeline as ours and they also have recieved their P4. I don't have a problem with them doing it that way. Fact is those waiting for such a long time deserve to be pushed up to the front of the line. I just wish I could get someone to tell me what the process truly is. Seems I'm just babbling. Pay no attention to me. haha

yep. We went very fast until case sent to GUZ. Now we are paying the price it seems. I still think case number must have something to do with it. Others have passed me up, but they waited much longer at the beginning then we did.

Larry I know many of you have waited very much longer then I have. But what's frustrating is being eligible for interview and never being told why others keep passing me up by getting their interview date and we get nothing. I call the DOS. Nothing. I called the GUZ today and they told me that we should get P4 one month after being eligible. I told her It's been over 2 months. She said we should recieve something next month. I told her that's what i was told last month. Then she says I should send GUZ an email asking why no P4 yet. I told her that last time I sent email, they told me to call the pay line. hahaha. WTF? I call the pay line and they tell me to email. Grrrrrrrrr! I just want someone to tell me that our case is ok and not lost somewhere. I sent them another email tonight basically demanding an answer. We shall see. Maybe I piss them off so much they either throw our case in the garbage or actually do something good with it.

Great! Now I can look forward to possibly waiting another year for our P4.

67 days since eligible for interview an no P4 yet. I see someone else on here just got their P4 and they sent in their P3 one month after us. I'll never understand.

The lady at DOS , her name is B.J. told me, because of the issue with her son not having an app, the they are holding off on scheduling an interview. Whatever that means. 205223[/snapback] I sure wish they would at least tell me why I havn't been scheduled yet.

So are they saying your not "eligible for interview"? Or just that no interview scheduled?

We also had to fax the GUZ explaining that her son is not being included on the petition. Guz had contacted my SO asking for confirmation. The fax cost us about $6.00 per page at kinkos. How did you find out that GUZ was not going to schedule an interview until this matter is cleared up? Did they contact your SO?

ShaQuaNew I would also like to see your question to GUZ not limited to DHL but also the P3/P4 timeframe..........I will never understand how some cases can get P3 or P4 within one month, by pass everyone else, while others sit and wait. I can understand NVC hold up during the name check process. And I also can understand other GUZ hold ups while further name checks are being processed. But to be eligible and just sit makes no sence to me.

I think they play 'pin the tail on the case'. Or they have all the cases in a pile on the floor and just grab one.

I have a co-worker that sent in P3 one week after our P3 and they have interview on April 17th. They received P4 on Mar 25th. My SO's cousin is trying to tell me that the GUZ number has something to do with the order of interviews. I disagree. who knows.

Well we sent our P3 in mid Jan and no P4 yet. As many times as I have called DOS, they probably threw our case in the garbage out of disgust.
