1. Congrats! Sure sounds like your time has come.
2. Those are pdf documents - you might right click, save as, and then open them into the Adobe reader if the link doesn't work for you. 217012 Randy, I have the latest version of Adobe, but, for some reason, it will not open up those links. I have tried right clicking as you suggested. I try to save the link. It gets about half way through saving it, then I get a message that it is not a valid file. 217031 RLS I had no problem opening the links except for the visajourney links. Seems they want a username or something.
3. Anyone know if Maura Harty can help with the 2nd name check process or is she only able to push the NVC process?
4. Thanks much David.............I"m trying to make some sence out of all this name check bs.
5. There is so much information there; in what way did you find it interesting? 216901 well? Beats me. Anything I can find on how the process work, is interesting to me. It's getting better. If your stuck like I am, it doesn't take much. The more I dig, the better it gets. Check this out. http://boards.immigrationportal.com/attach...tachmentid=8181
6. I found this link about the process of security clearance. I find it very interesting. http://www.wolfsdorf.com/articles/Consular...ng_20050524.htm
7. Did you call GUZ that often for them to say something like that?
8. My SO had received a call from GUZ months back to inform her that she needed to fax in a statement stateing that her son will not be included in the visa. I sure wish they would call informing her that I am a pest.
9. Thx Li'sZhangfu. I just noticed your timeline. Why was your case in GUZ for almost one year? What was the hold up? Seems to be rare that P4's are hung up because of name check hell. Or maybe paranoia has some not wanting to respond. Usually once the cases get entered into the computer at GUZ, things go a bit less troublesome. Oh well. Weekends suck around here because I can't call DOS. Looking forward to Monday again so I can continue my daily calling.
10. I really don't think the so called bottleneck at GUZ is the problem. The name check is being done by some department within the USA. The Consulate will send periodic reminders to the Department of State on the progress of these name checks. I already have spoken to DOS and they aggreed to also do a follow up on our case to find out why the delay. I'm sure it's mostly to do with her very common name. But they have her parents name. How hard can it be to match up her name with her parents? It's been almost 5 months on a name check. What do they do, use snail mail back and forth between China to check on backgrounds? Freaken pizzing me OFF!
11. I want to ask if anyone else is or has been stuck in name check hell after returning P3. How long were you stuck? I understand many of you have been stuck during the NVC process. But I only want to know about the name check after case having been accepted by GUZ. Thank you, Todd
12. I specifically asked DOS if they keep a record of how many times I have called them. She said NO! I call every single day. I know at some point I will be told that the name check is complete. It could be tomorrow, next month or next year. I will not stop calling no matter what anyone thinks or says.
13. Anyone mp3 the chat? Would be nice to save it some how so SO can listen to it later.
14. I remember once when my SO was eligible for interview. Then suddenly she wasnt' eligible interview. Ooops we made a mistake.
