  1. Dallas-Shanghai (DFW-PVG) has been up and active for over a year now. The wife has been using that one.
  2. Mom likes it for Chinese TV & Movies.
  3. Who's to say they (Asian women) didn't get White Fever? The whole notion is racist and offensive. Good for Vivieen Chen's insights of the new multi-racial society that we inhabit.
  4. Congrats Steve. Yeah, it's interesting. Constant chatter and a lot more cooking.
  5. That's odd Ken. We had no issues getting MIL over, nor sister-in-law and yesterday the nephew got here all on B2s. (BTW: While MIL was here on B2 we easily got her green card) We thought she had all her ducks in a row. We were going to try a 3rd time but decided to just go for the IR5 for both her parents. Best of luck Ken.

  7. I'll bet money that when Willie dies this will be one of the most collectible guitars in history. There's some crazy irony for you luthiers in knowing that. I suppose an instrument can be well built and pretty, but if it ain't being played and it's character can't be found then its beauty and soul will never be known. Everybody say "Happy 80th Birthday to Willie Nelson" today!
  8. Wife has several tasty recipies using bitter melons so we usually have some in the kitchen.
  9. I found this site in 2005 after I had already paid the lawyer fees. But it was a good place to learn about more than the visa process.
  10. Carl, I'll save you the time to post it: Castrate the guilty.
  11. They can re-apply right away as far as I know. Did they say Why they were rejected? My mother-in-law had no problem in fact we converted her to a Green Card carrier while she was here on the visitor visa. My sister-in-law just returned from her visit and her son just received a visitor visa. So we've been lucky some how.
  12. Here are the 'droids you're looking for ... http://i2.wp.com/boygeniusreport.files.wordpress.com/2012/12/facebookmessengerandroid.jpg?w=618
  13. Keep it up. You're just jealous that you ain't skinny anymore.
  14. Is it a medical term? Ask her to type it into http://www.drdict.com or into Google Translator.
  15. Collin County Texas (immediately North of Dallas) is 11.5% Asian (2011 data) and seems to be growing. A very active Chinese Chamber of Commerce, newspapers, etc ... Food is a major factor in settling in at least it was in our case. We have many choices of Chinese, "Asian", Indian markets to choose.
  16. Ya know cuzin' Bawb. Looking at your avatar photo I can see why you have no problem gettin' B2 visas for yore Chinese family. You is one tough lookin' book learned hombre. tsap seui I ain't so frisky as that anymore cuz'tsappy that's an old picture from high school when I was young and purty
  17. Sorry that your mom is ill and hope you get those visas approved ASAP. We've had good luck getting the office in Beijing to issue B2 visas so far of course both of us are in USA and citizens.
  18. Carl, I went to http://www.ergoguitars.com/ and heard some of the best dayum gee'tar playing I've heard in a long time. I encourage others to do the same.
  19. 'bout time to string this beast and tie in an Amp, then bang out some Muddy Waters.
  20. Good News! I believe that the visa is valid for 6 months(?). Those that are certain will pounce in here. C'mon on home.
