  1. Since the purpose of the visa is to live in America they will require meeting the income requirement unless you can prove you are independently wealthy. If you can not show taxable income that is acceptable you will need a cosponsor. It is possible that this might be waived if your employer issues a guarantee and complete explanation of the rate difference you are paid when in China or the United States.
  2. Perry you are right this could be a potential danger with having meetups. I bet we'd never hear the end of it if someone reports that their Laowai can clean real good. I'm still trying to send the P-4 materials. Next step is cleaning to make room for her. I think I will start by sitting and staring at all I must dump or box up.
  3. You should be hearing shortly. You will get the approval notice if all your i are dotted and your t are crossed. They call it an approval notice but in plain English it is just notice that it is accepted for processing. Have a seat here in the official waiting room of GUZ. Take a look around and feel free to post. As you wait you will begin to understand why some of our posts are a bit looney. Good Luck
  4. Mike EMS is good for that. http://www.ems.com.cn/ems/English/index.jsp
  5. I would send them again. Chances are they will turn up but if it was entered in the computer that they don't have them it is a good chance no one will look further. You should know by now that NO ONE QUESTIONS THE GREAT ALL KNOWING GUZ.
  6. Tony government employee errors don't help.
  7. Is it important where you live that she drive? Remember in California you can't get a driver's license until you have your social security number and are registered in the computer link between CIS and DMV you can't get a license. If she has a Chinese Driver's license she can drive here as long as she carries a translation of the license with it. This is the only thing I know different in California. Anyone listed as a beneficiary of someone on SS qualifies for need to have an SS number irregardless of citizenship or residency. Are you interested in the California meetup in August? Check out the Californians Unite thread under the Contact List forum.
  8. Welcome to CFL! By different from the norm do you mean you have retained a semblance of rationality? Ah but you are still new to the process.
  9. Have you walked into some of the bathrooms and smelled the floor drain odor wafting up? It clears it. Ping was greatful for that on the cruise boat
  10. Why would citizenship change where you are. You can still live a dual continent life.
  11. One can always benefit from proper use of herbs. When I was sick from having something fried in bad lard in China I mixed a tea that did wonders. I had chamomille tea with a drop of fennel oil. When it hit I had really bad cramps and terrible diarrhea. It lasted for 5 days but after taking it there were no cramps and I just went frequently having mild diarrhea. I am sure if I didn't have my fennel oil with me activities would have been limited. I also put lavendar oil in the bathroom drains when we stay somewhere.
  12. sadly, we're in a society that will probably always compare and complain.. the 'victim' syndrome is an unfortunate part of expression. I'll have lu cha... Ah David the glass may be half empty or half full. The victim or the victor both are needed for competition.
  13. Chamomille is an old time herbal remedy. I use it as one of the main ingredients in the aromattherapy blends I sell. It is antiinflammatory, antidepresent and sedative. Works well for relaxing, relieving stomach problems and reducing swellings from bumps and arthritis. Passion fruit tea and Valerian pills work well also as relaxants to sleep well
  14. YYYYiiiiiiiipppppppppppiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeee
  15. dont worry....i do not anticipate a confrontation. if one is started with me, i will deal with it quickly, definitively and decisively. This sounds very much like a veiled threat. Are you trying to stir up trouble again or what Joe? The post you quoted wasn't even about you. It was inevitable, without this exchange how would we be sure it was Aosnow and that Carl was paying attention to the thread? Perhaps with this meetup we can put the past behind and let bygones be bygones. Did someone say we aren't going to roast the whole beast? Sounds like the road kill got run over once too much.
  16. I didn't get to test them but I saw some beautiful digital control horozontal quick heating water heaters in the department stores.
  17. It is amazing the things you do Grand Master to keep Fang happy.
  18. Don't rub it in. I haven't been back since the I-129f. Wwwwaaaa wwwwaaaa sniff sniff....She already has certified copies of everything from the I-129f
  19. All the ones in my area Trigg about 1/3 of the markets in this area are asian and all markets have a dry goods and produce Asian section. I have a discount card for the one nearest me called 99 Ranch Market that's 15 minutes by car. It is a large chain grocery covering most of California. This is it http://www.99ranch.com/ unfortunately they don't have one near Jim yet so I copied and pasted the ones in your site. My problem is that I eat mostly Chinese, Vietnames, Korean and Japanese food both out and when I cook. Now I am told not only is she carniverous beyond the favored goat, lamb and duck but she wants to eat American food when she gets here. I'm not sure where to find that.
  20. I'm ahead of you on that David it was part of the original application I submitted. The only thing they asked for was the I-134. That was also in the application packet I did but of course they will want it more recent.
  21. That is quite a resource Trigg! Hey Jim have you seen all these places in Modesto? Asian Market 1100 Carver Rd. Modesto, CA 95350 209-578-0147 Modesto Oriental Grocery & Deli 1800 Prescott Rd. It is stacked in front of the Chinese markets each year when it is released. I have one waiting in hopes that GUZ says yes
  22. Oh Dan, take a deep breath. Everything will be fine. Remember how much Mark messed up when he went to GZ? They still got the visa. Oh yeh, I remember he was at the airport when he thought of somethings. Well at least I am still at home and have a month to go.
  23. There was a discussion a while back about types of teas. http://candleforlove.com/forums/index....08da019f666d3df http://www.chineseliterature.com.cn/tradit...re/tea/tea1.htm this link didn't load for me.
  24. Thanks for the advice everyone. Steven I sent the schmaltzie letter of intent in the original application. I also included 2003 tax return. I included the W-2s with each. This time I just did something like Trigg said. Just the facts, ma'am. I just got back from going to the courrier's office. Yesterday he told me that he would be there from 10-5 today. They were closed. Thinking it was for lunch I waited an hour and a half before giving up. The next chance will be after work one day if I can get there before they close. FIRST GUZ NOW THIS!!!!!!!! Ooooohhhhhhmmmmmmmm Bbbbbbllllluuuuuuuuueeeeeee Tttttthhhhhiiiinnnngggggiiiieeeeeee
