  1. Perhaps now is the time for you to hire the attorney (named KING) that everybody here on CFL says is so good? I don't know his contact info but I am sure you will get it here from the older members.
  2. I didn't know how she would react to my 2 cats.... She "liked" them but hated that they would not sit in her lap - So off to get a 3rd cat - this one being for her! She spoils it rotten and is always carrying it around in her arms like a baby. She jokes and says if she ever leaves me - she will take her cat with her - ha ha. Now she is talking about wanting a dog also........ wow. I was even amazed that she will let the cat lick from her ice cream cone...... really wow! I never thought she would allow that.
  3. Our K3 took 8 months from start to finish. I don't think, had it been a K1, that it would have gone any faster. But more importantly - I HAVE ALWAYS THOUGHT that the K3's tend to get through with less problems. I THINK the K1 is used more by people commiting fraud - therefore are looked at a bit more closely. My conclusion - Go get married - File for your CR1 and then for your K3 - and take which ever one comes in first.
  4. But what about the fact that no othr dairy product seems to affect her? She can drink gallons of milk.....
  5. she eats both peanuts and corn and does not have a reaction - it has got to be something added in the processing of the shells I would guess. She has similar (but no where as severe) reaction to home cooked french-fries cooked in vegetable oil. She tells me that anything cooked (fried) hard or crispy causes at least minor discomfort and irritation.
  6. Homemade...... Ground Beef "Old El Passo" Taco shells "Pace" taco seasoning mix Cheddar/Jack blend cheese Tomatoes Lettuce Thats all we had on them. She broke out within 4 to 6 hours after. Next morning eyes almost swell shut.
  7. Eric, Thanks so much for the info - this is what I was looking to hear from somebody... Something that at least gets me off in the right direction to solving her problem. Her eyes swell up so much after the tacos that she could hardly open her eyes. I'm thinking it may be the corn or the way the corn is produced in that product. The log is a great idea. We may have to see a specialist if this continues! She likes the foods - I need to discover what it is about it that her body does not like. Oh and thanks to you also Tony for your input and ideas! Scott
  8. Hello, I live in a very rural area and cannot find a doctor who could possibly understand the huge difference in diets from China to America. IE: an Asian doctor... My wife is beginning to break out and swell from the foods she is eating here. She tells me that it is because the food is "hard"... but I find this a bit hard to beleive and understand. Does anybody out there have any knowledge (or input) about what would cause my wife to break out, swell, and feel bad from eating some american foods??? What we have eaten so far that gave her the worst reaction was "tacos". She says it is the taco shell causing the problem. Again I find this hard to beleive. Can anybody tell me what they know about the diet change and how it can affect her - and what we can do to help her with the diet changes? She likes the american foods - but I hate to allow her to have it if she is going to react so badly to it. Thanks, Scott
  9. I would like to add something here - especially for all the newbies out there. It is best to never discuss your case with anybody!!! Period. It is best to ask your SO to keep these matters very close to home and not share anymore than needed with anybody - even close friends.
  10. I guess I am the only person who (although I read the instructions) still used a staple to hold pages of the same document together. I then used the prescribed afco fasteners to hold everything together by section and then more to hold it all together in one pack. My application went through at a good pace as compared to most others. The point of my question was to really try and determine if the use of staples (in the way I describe) would hurt IN ANY WAY.... In other words has anybody seen a relation to the use of staples and any delay? I certainly did not intend to open a can of worms here - and I applologize if I offended anybody. I guess it is in my nature to make things like this neat - and I felt the staples added to the neatness of my package. It did not appear to hurt me in any way and was just curious if this was being over rated. I think we can safely stop the discussion as it seems to be pretty well answered thus far. Scott
  11. TRUTHFULLY............... I would like to know how many people here think or beleive that by using staples on documents that are more than one page - will (would) indeed slow the process any time at all?????? Scott
  12. It is pretty bad when we discuss simple things like whether to staple documents or not. Is everybody so scared of the government that we go out of our way to please them when we submit documents. How long does it take to remove a staple anyway........ How do we know they don't prefer this? Have they in any way told us this?
  13. I'm not sure your question is clear..............
  14. I live in the "panhandle" of Florida. City called Destin. 32550 Does anybody know WHERE we will be asked to have the Bio done? Does anybody know what office is handling our applications - So I will know who to call? I have applied for both AOS and the work permit at the same time. Thanks, Scott
  15. Hi all, How long after applying for AOS should the first contact be? I thought they would soon tell me the BIO appointment - but I have not heard anything except notification that the application has been received. How long should I wait before contacting them? Thanks, Scott
  16. Ok................ Lets assume they put these 10 million people to the "back of the line"......... What happens to one of our good, law abiding citizens who meets a nice Chinese lady and eventually decides to get married. They apply for their visa BEHIND these 10 million illegals................. How long will it take for them to get a legal visa for his new wife? 10 years??? Anyway you look at it - the law abiding citizens will pay the price - a huge price!!! Scott
  17. We folded ours in half and put it in a carry on bag - no problems - the doctor said no problem when he needed it. He didn't care that it was folded.
  18. This is the third year we have done this. And last year was the first time this actually happened... About 25% of them did not go back. They took jobs elsewhere and just disappeared and did not go back. I expect it to happen again this year. But I don't see how we can be blamed for these people not going back? If you know more about this - please post it. Thanks, Scorr
  19. This sounds like they are violating the contract that brought them over - NOT the visa. If so, Scott's company may be within their rights to take them to court to try to recoup some of the cost of importing them. Or does the visa restrict them to working for one company? 199798[/snapback] I will get details on the visa type and report it here the first of the week. But it clearly means (this type of visa they have) that their visa is issued ONLY on the grounds of the visa holder to work for the ONE contracted company that sponsored them. Period. Where I live is a very unusual employment area. It is also extremely seasonal. We pay VERY GOOD wages (for the work they do) - but because labor is so short - that SOME employers will offer outrageously high wages. This is what causes the problem. The foreigners are tempted to take illegal work because the wages offered are so outrageously good. But the real issue is "legal or not legal".... this visa they have does not allow them to accept other work - period. They know this before they come and lied to us before they came - saying they will abide by the rules (laws) of the visa and contract. These visa holders are paid well and provided benefits that are unheard of for an hourly employee anywhere in this country. It is in no way a type of slavery. My company does not care if they take other work as long as they fulfill their obligations to us FIRST. We have no intention of reporting them!!! We want the other employer to be reported so they will stop breaking the law and tempting our employees from also breaking the law! They simply are wrong to accept other work and the company hiring them is breaking the law - period. Scott
  20. I think you are missing the entire point of the post! MY wife is here legally and will continue to be here legally. I would not consider it any other way. I am not being a "busy body" - as you say! I have 2 strong points to make: 1) I beleive in being a law abiding citizen. I don't think it is right for anybody to break the law!!! 2) I am trying to defend my employers right to operate a profitable business. We brought over 30 foreigners - because that number worked well last season. Now this year 3/4 of them are working illegal jobs elsewhere - and leaving us short staffed. So we are having to shut down parts of the park due to this shortage of manpower. These foreigners are breaking the law! These foreigners are not fulfilling their contracts with us. THEY NEED TO SUCK IT UP AND DO WHAT IS RIGHT AND LEGAL!!! I have every right AND OBLIGATION to report the violations to the authorities - I am just trying to figure out the best way to do this that will produce results. I THINK YOU ARE VERY WRONG TO STATE THIS SHOULD NOT BE A CONCERN FOR ME!!! YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. IF YOU SUPPORT ILLEGAL WORKERS IN THIS COUNTRY - THEN YOU ARE THE PROBLEM! YOU HAVE THE TYPE OF THINKING THAT IS CAUSING THIS COUNTRY GREAT PROBLEMS - TURNING THE OTHER CHEEK TO ILLEGALS IS WHY WE NOW HAVE SUCH HUGE PROBLEMS IN THIS COUNTRY WITH ILLEGALS!!!!!!!!!! You should support the laws of immigation - especially since you have a foreign wife! Scott
  21. NO Trigg........ The reason why my company does this is because it is a seasonal amusement park that usually hires young people to do this job. In recent years the young people have chosen to take other jobs working inside (out of the heat and weather) leaving us with a need to fill these positions somehow. It seems that the hiring of foreigners works well for us.... At least it used to work well - now it doesn't. Now other employers in the area are taking the employees that we hire and sponsor and giving them a higher pay - therefore these workers now USE us to get to the USA and then work for companies willing to pay more than we can afford. I just want to somehow get the government to contact the other companies and inform them that they cannot legally hire these workers - so they will only work for us - as their contracts and visas permit!!! I don't want to cause the workers problems - I want to get the other companies to stop breaking the law and taking these employees away from us. WE sponsored them and supply their housing - they are taking advantage of us by doing this. Plus I am not happy that they willingly break the law and abuse the visas that the US gov issue to them!!! Scott
  22. This is greatly effecting the place where I work. I only want somebody to slap their hands and make them stop working other places - and do the job they were brought here to do by my company..... I'm not out to cause anybody trouble. Scott
  23. I am very anxious to see how this develops as my wife has 2 friends here in the USA that both did the exact thing - over-stayed their visa. Now they want to become legal residents. I told my wife that it just can't happen. Once they are deemed illegal - it makes obtaining another legal visa damn near impossible. So I really want to see this question answered by somebody. Hope somebody has some experiences to share. Scott
  24. I just don't see how she could possibly be in "good standing" with the INS! She clearly over-stayed her visa - thus is here illegally. It all sounds very strange to me. I can't help but think if she leaves the country - they will discover what has really happened here - and will most likely ban her at least for 5 to 10 years from re-entry under any other visa.
  25. These people have legal papers - the companies hiring them are stupid and do not realize that the visa they have only permits them to work for one designated employer!!! Therefore they cannot legally hire them. It is not that the documents are not authentic - they don't understand these people are not eligable to work for anybody else but the sponsoring employer!!! It is the type of visa that they have. And this is killing my company because they will not work for us as much since they discovered they can make more elsewhere - so they work the minimum for us and then work another 40 to 60 hours for a higher paying job - illegally...... I would like to stop this practice without involving the name of my company in reporting them - It would look better if the USA authorities investigate them and discover this for themself..... But I fear the uSA autorities think this is petty and will not investigate. Scott
