  1. Does anybody know where and how to report visa violations? Where I work - Romanians are brought to the area to work. The problem is that they all come here under contract with one company - but violate their visa by taking other jobs - and shunt their responsibilies to the company that sponsored them. I would like to know where and how to report these violations - and also to know if anybody will do anything about it????? Thanks, Scott
  2. I'm not sure I understand your question.............. Scott
  3. Thanks for the information!!! I would sure love to hear from anybody who has done this process - So I can compare the results of filing it as a green card holder and also as a USC. So if anybody has done this EITHER way - please post your time frame that resulted in your filing. Thanks Again, Scott
  4. Hello, I read another post somewhere that indicated that my Chinese wife must become a US citizen BEFORE she is permitted to apply for a visa for her son to come and join us............ Is this true? I thought she could do this after obtaining her green card (after AOS -perminant status)??????? Thanks, Scott
  5. I did this exact thing last year - partly due to the ITN processing and partly due to it having to be a paper file - it slowed things for me quite a bit.... I think it was at least a month or two later than my usual. Scott
  6. This is true... I struggled to find a CS in my area and when I did, he insisted on the exam. He charged me $110 for all signed, sealed and delivered. This is about the same price a doctor in San Diego was going to charge for just signing off. I paid the money because he is nice man and is only 5 minutes away. 194998[/snapback] For me - the fee was only $50. Much better than the price of a full physical most doctors charge. Scott
  7. I couldn't find a civil surgeon who would just sign off - I had to have the exam. But the good news is that it only cost $50. Hell, that is the cheapest fee I have had to pay thus far - so I didn't complain much. Scott
  8. My wife came through LAX. It appeared they were working only 2 planes at the time. She got through in about an hour. Scott
  9. Hello, I was able to finally get the AOS package off last week - including the permission to accept employment. My question now is "what do I do next"? I have heard implications that perhaps I need to start calling soon - But I am not sure why? I assume the only things left to do is the fingerprints (which they schedule) and wait for the interview........... true? I just want to be sure that I am doing everything I need to be doing. Thanks, Scott
  10. Hello, Nowhere do I see WHO to make the check out to for the bio fee....... Does naybody know if this is also paid to USCIS????? Scott
  11. Hello, Can somebody either deny or confirm if IT IS REALLY NECESSARY TO DIVIDE THE PACKET INTO THE TWO SEPERATE APPLICATIONS (stacks)? (Adjustment of Status and the work permit) Thanks, Scott
  12. Exactly.... WHO do I call? I am clueless about all of this. Scott
  13. Thank you very much for the great advice!!!!! Scott
  14. Hello, Concerning the biometrics........... Can somebody help me understand this proceedure....... I live in n/w Florida. I have heard that for my geographic location - that our Biometrics appointment will be in Jacksonville Florida. Can somebody confirm or deny this??? Also, Can somebody give me a clue as to when this is normally scheduled... How long after filing the AOS papers do we get an appointment? And lastly, If I intend to be in Jacksonville in April for another matter - do you think they will allow me to request my appointment date to be on or about that date? Thanks So Much, Scott
  15. Another thing........... Should she sign the forms using the same signature she used on the K3 forms........... or use the english version of signature she has adopted here in the states? Thanks, Scott
  16. Hello, Concerning the AOS application: On the website VISAJOURNEY, they mention sending a copy of divorce papers........ is this only for K1, or does it apply to K3 as well? ALSO......... are the fees still $325, $180, and $70 ????? Scott
  17. David, I had read somewhere that if a signature is required (at the PO box) that it drasticly slows down the delivery or could even cause it to not be delivered..... Is this true? Is it better to send it FedEx and get a signature that way? Thanks, Scott
  18. Hello, Two questions: 1) what is the best way to mail (ship) the AOS documents? I read somewhere that a signature being required can be a problem..... 2) What address do I mail to if I live in Florida? Thanks, Scott
  19. Hello, What is the average wait time for the green card after the AOS paperwork is filed? Thanks, Scott
  20. Also, On form I-864... are they expecting you to write in the poverty level income from the graph - or add in the additional 25% to that amount ????? Scott
  21. Thanks David.... Yes, sorry, I am filing the forms together. Scott
  22. Also, I thought I heard there were changes in the requirement of "tax returns".... Does anybody know the current requirement for what they will accept? If it is now only one year - is it still best to send three years instead? Are copies of the W-2's required? Thanks, Scott
  23. Hello, I am about to file the AOS documents for my wife. I have a few questions about these forms.... Can somebody please try and answer my questions. I will feel better knowing it is all complete (flawless). I-765: 1) #16 - The code I am told is "c 9"..... Is there any other code that may apply to a K3 visa app? I-864: 1) Does it really matter if there are NO "assets" listed? I make more than enough money to qualify..... I-485: 1) Her I-94 has 9 digits, a small space, then 2 more digits. The space looks like it could be missing a digit (I can see some partial ink there)..... How many digits are normal for the I94 numbers being issued at LAX? 2) Under part 2 - Which block is to be checked? I have choosen "c", but am very unsure of this. She is a K3 visa holder. I figure it could be either " a, b, or c"...........????? 3) Which number is the "visa number"? The red number (8 digits), or the longer number called the "control number"??? I think the G-325 is a "no brainer"....... I really would appreciate these answers, but also any advice anybody has on this process - I want it flawless. I'm so nervous that I will screw something up that will cause us problems down the road. Thanks, Scott
  24. Nevermind - I read further and saw my answer........ I am correct - she can leave. Scott
  25. I thought a K-3 could leave the country..... According to the I485 Instructions - once you make application to Adjust Status - you are no longer permitted to leave without "advance parol"?????????? Is this correct??? It says that if you leave the country - you basically abandon your application............... crazy!!! Scott
