  1. congrats on the pink! goood job!
  2. we reserved a room with the mr. yang about 4 weeks before our interview. when we arrived, mrs. yang met us and told us to go and have dinner because mr. yang had failed to tell her we had a reservation. after a 2 hour dinner mrs. yang met us again and showed us to our room. she had to move another family out to make room for us. mrs. yang informed us we would not have towels the 1st nite because she wasn't ready for us. for the most part the yangs are helpful during the visa process. just don't leave any valuables in your room as dnoblett said. good luck and bring home the pink!
  3. congrats steve! now the real fun begins!
  4. great news! congrats and enjoy your new life!
  5. randy is correct. i think the daughter will be able to stay until she turns 21, but i'm not sure because after your wife adjusts status the daughter will no longer be in k4 status. maybe someone else can chime in. perhaps you could get a student visa for her daughter.
  6. i'm not sure if this has been posted before so i will post it to help those who will soon have to have their biometrics done. today we went to have biometrics done for my wife and since she took my last name at marriage her name on the appt. letter for biometrics appt. did not match her passport name. we were sent home to retrieve our marriage certificate and then allowed to have the biometrics done when we returned. i hope this will save someone else from the same inconvenience.
  7. when the cs filled out our 693 he included pages 1, 3 , and 5 in the sealed envelope.
  8. congrats tom and ling. now the adventure begins.
  9. either will be fine. there is no requirement for photo size.
  10. congrats and welcome home. i'm very happy for both of you.
  11. More than likely an approval without interview. I have seen one or two who have had to interview after CSC transfer, CSC adjudicator decides an interview is needed and sends it back to MSC for transfer to field office. Tony started a post a few years ago about CSC transfers. http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?...c=14871&hl= We were approved without interview. Timelines listing transfers only: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/aoslis...8=All&xfr=1 (only one on the first page shows an interview) thx. alot dnoblett and randy. this is encouraging news.
  12. Maybe, maybe not. They are fairly good about notifying you when they do. A transfer to the CSC is a sign that you may squeak by without an interview. A transfer to your local office indicates the opposite. i just received a transfer notice in the mail today and my I-485 case was transferred to csc. maybe i can get by without an interview.
  13. the yangs will take the time to review your paperwork, however since they know very little english they are mainly checking for completeness. while staying at the yangs i saw plenty of people getting help from the yangs and getting blue and white slips. if you need help with the paperwork and interview prep i recommend smiling asia. the yangs will also go with you to the medical, but you can simply give the address to the cab driver and go by yourself. Ya know Dale, I didn't need one iota of help from the Yangs, and while they didn't change a thing, it was nice to have someone else look over the paperwork. And yes, we could have gone to the medical on our own, now couldn't we? It didn't cost us anything for Mrs. Yang's sister to take us and she made the experience even easier, and she, as the Yangs were very pleasant people. I will state right to your face that I highly doubt, and totally disregard your statement that you know the results of anyone's interview results that you purport you saw the Yang's "helping". Where they helping those people in your room? I know you have a grudge against the Yangs, and while you were the ones who left the money and sunglasses in your room at the Yangs, like some kind of first time naive travelers, I still feel sorry for your loss...but...don't you go taking my posts, and my quotes and dragging me into YOUR agenda against the Yangs. I simply answered the question asked by the OP as to my experience with the Yangs and I do not appreciate you trying to drag me, or my words into your sordid little affair. Do we have an understanding here, Dale? Leave me the hell out of your affair, and your agenda. If you insist on crying about the Yangs, do it without my words, buddy. tsap seui even though i find your post somewhat offensive , yet predictable i will answer your questions. of course you can disregard anything you like. we spent a couple of hours each day with the yangs in their office. it was in their office that we saw others getting help on their paperwork from the yangs. as far as a grudge, well i am annoyed by the fact that a lot of people gave the yangs rave reviews here on cfl and the info was not accurate. i am also annoyed that i know of plenty of folks unhappy at the yangs but are afraid to post about it because folks like you will jump down their throat and disregard their experience. at least future members have some accurate info to help make their decision now. my agenda as you put it is to make sure future members are correctly informed so they can weigh the positive and the negative. and as far as dragging you into my affair, this is a poor choice of words on your part and incorrect, however if you don't want people responding to your posts then you don't have to post.
  14. according to the USCIS web site my N-400 (citizenship)is still pending, got 1 1/2 years ago Still waiting for NOA-1 on AOS. thats terrible! 2 1/2 months and no noa yet! wow! whats wrong with our govt.? finally got NOA-1 today congrats! thats good news. any idea why it took so long?
  15. hmmmmm. i guess i'm not the only one who felt this way. hmmm.. nope. i guess not. but you DO seem to be the only one harping on it relentlessly, as if it your own personal campaign to keep anyone and everyone away from the Yangs. while i do appreciate your input and advice in this matter, your relentlessly bashing and harping on the Yangs has forced me to discard your opinion on this subject entirely. perhaps one post was enough. I HAVE read the entire thread, and have seen only a handful (2-3) complaints against them, versus a multitude of praise from thankful people... it seems you are less interested in helping others with advice than you are interested in making this your own personal "I hate the Yangs" party. at least in this thread. so, I'm really sorry you had a bad time at the Yang's, and I thank you very much for the advice and recommendations, as well as sharing your personal experience - but I can no longer take your opinion seriously on this matter. you just seem to have gone a little overboard, IMHO. i think we are going to give them a chance, if they have a room available. everyone has their set own standards of living conditions.judging from your posts i'm sure you will be happy at the yangs. just don't leave any valuables in your room or they might end up missing. good luck with your interview. think pink!
  16. I'd love to hear how you easily explain to a chinese SO in the midst of an interview why there are two signatures on a single signature form? What exactly does she explain to a VO??? The bottom line is... make it as easy as possible for your SO.. otherwise it is SOL... I'm beating a dead horse, but I was trying to keep it alive and kicking for a while... i have a old copy (pre-2/2008) of the p3 and p4 from the guz site. one of the forms (the of-167) stated that when using a sponsor that is marrried both parties should sign the i-134. it makes good sense, especially if both parties are earning income.
  17. Can you clarify: So she can go to Guangzhou earlier than me, go to the hospital with her paperwork and get the medical... Then when I arrive, I can go with her to pay the Visa Application fee, then take that reciept to the hospital and pick up the medical results...?? Is that right? yes, that is correct. also, she will turn in the paperwork when she picks up the results, not when she has the exam.

  19. Thanks Randy! I wasn't too sure abuot how the co-sponsoring should be. But, it would be safe to assume that since it is all jointly filed, and the deed, and everythign is in both their names, that only one person needs to sign it. But I will probably print two out, have them both sign one, and then have my sister sign another one. Just in case. Peace, Erik it would be best if they both signed the i-134, especially since they filed joint returns. this shows that both parties are willing to cosponsor.
  20. hmmmmm. i guess i'm not the only one who felt this way.
  21. Does it have a matress and running water? 'Cause if it does, sounds like a better place than many I have been....... it sounds like the perfect place for you. sometimes you won't have any hot water.
  22. FROM WHAT HAVE READ AT VJ THE PROCESS IS PRETTY MUCH THE SAME , BUT A LITTLE FASTER.
