  1. my case status online never showed the rfe was sent, nor has it shown touched since jan. 26th. what a joke!
  2. yes, you can receive an rfe at any point. at nbc, csc, your local uscis office and even at the interview. good luck!
  3. does anyone know the average wait time at CSC for processing aos after responding to an rfe?
  4. hello to all! my stepdaughter just received the pink slip after a long day at the consulate. all the applicants were sent home and told to return at 1:30 due to power failure. when she returned she told the security guard she was applying for non immigrant visa and was told she needed the online version of the ds156 with the barcode. after a phone call to her mother and me we told her she was applying for immigrant visa and all was ok then. the vo only asked 3 or 4 questions and then pink. the vo did not ask for financials, only photos. happy days again!
  5. if it matches the form in post #2 of this thread then thats it.
  6. k2 fills out the same forms as the k1, minus the ds 156k and gni-2 found in the p4. good luck. ok thank you on the ds-156 & ds-157 where it says to sets I understand the set is one in chinese and one english. where it says all information in chinese must be translated and notarized does this mean the 156 & 157 forms too, beings there is one copy in english already? the instructions state to fill out 2 copies in english and 2 copies in chinese. perhaps the consulate keeps 1 copy and includes the other copy in the sealed envelope with visa pick-up.
  7. excep[t that the I-693 form (your civil surgeon will have one) includes the vaccination supplement now. Yes it is in the brown envelope. You will next see it at your AOS interview yes, thats correct, unless it gets lost as mine did and then you have to get a new exam. uscis seems to have trouble merging the applications and we have to pay for their mistakes.good luck!
  8. your mother should also check yes to this. the only time no would be checked is if you have 2 joint sponsors and one of the joint sponsors is not sponsoring the principle immigrant listed in part 2 , but they are sponsoring family members from part 3, number 9. its always best to mark blanks with none or n/a. good luck!
  9. This is the guy who turned in the I-864 which showed $0 income. my tax returns i turned in for the i-134 also showed 0 income. actually -25k in income.
  10. i have a feeling that she will have a quick and easy pink! good luck!
  11. you will follow the standard ir-1 medical exam and vaccinations. most likely she wont need any new vaccinations if you have the previous records, however you wont know for sure until the actual exam. you wont see the I-693 because guz doesnt use that form and after the medical is done it will be given to you in a sealed envelope, same as for your previous k3.
  12. i think you are well prepared, however i would be prepared to explain to the vo why you chose this process instead of doing aos in the states.
  13. apparently this is a common problem as when i spoke with a supervisor her exact words were: in a perfect world the I-129F files containing the medical exam would be merged with the new I-485 application.
  14. USCIS added 5 new vaccinations to the list around aug. 2008. here is a link for you. http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...0004718190aRCRD
  15. i'm not from calif., but i think either would be fine. i had to turn in 2 divorce decrees from 2 different counties. 1 was only 1 page and the other was like a book. the important thing is the court seals, stamps, etc.
  16. k2 fills out the same forms as the k1, minus the ds 156k and gni-2 found in the p4. good luck.
  17. i just received a useless phone call from uscis and after much prodding i learned that, as we all suspected, our original i-129f packet including medical exam was not merged with the 485 application. uscis doesnt know where it is, but i suspect its still at the nbc in missouri. rather than waste more time with these bozos we will have to get a new exam. grrrr!
  18. update: i just spoke with USCIS again today and learned that the supervisor put in a request for my files (I-129F with exam). she said she will call me when she receives the files or a response. i have a glimmer of hope at least.
  19. I believe there is a form that you can fill out and submit for the return of original documents but I am not sure what that form number is. Anyone here know anything more about this? Splinterman g-884...no fee required.
  20. does anyone know what happens to your k1 documents after you turn them in at the poe? and how are they supposed to join up with your 485 after you file?
  21. My guess is that they won't want proof, but the actual medical exam itself. The 'proof' in the form of the certificate or the copy may jar them into looking a little harder, but by and large they're going to need the real thing. (Although, of course, they could accept the copy as the real thing - but may need the sealed envelope) Any appeals or legal action would simply extend it beyond the validity of the report anyway. If it's at all discretionary on the part of the IO, it may work, but I wouldn't go beyond the 30 days. But Dale, if your case is in California, the Atlanta office shouldn't be sending you RFE's. randy, the rfe is from calif. i'm only guessing that the poe may have sent my i-129f to my local office in atlanta, therefore the adjudicating officer in calif. doesnt have access to it.
  22. the other thing that irritates me about this is that i attempted to prevent this from happening by getting a copy of the medical exam while in guz and send it with the 693, but the clinic refused to give me a copy saying that guz does not allow this. grrrrr! does anyone know where the i-129f packet with medical goes after it is turned in to the point of entry? i'm guessing mine was sent to my local service center in atlanta, therefore the adjudicator doesnt have the medical forms to review since my case is in california.
  23. i just got off the phone with uscis and spoke with a supervisor. she confirmed that i was correct and stated that perhaps the medical was lost and she will attempt to locate it and then get back with me. at least i have some hope.
