  1. Okay, thank you guys for the help. I will cross my fingers
  2. Yes, it is a CR 1. I have been thinking of the red flags. Maybe the fact that Jing and I live in the US? I know her English is rough and he can't speak any Chinese. (not that my Chinese is better) and he only was able to come to China once
  3. Hi Group. My mother in law is married to her husband in the USA. She had her interivew today and she got a white slip. I have been reading what to do. I am confused. I hear that the consulate has to tell you why, but my mother in law said they gave her the run around. Do we need to go back to the consulate? I heard that Guz is only open on Fri from 8:30 to 10:30. I am too late. Will USCIS just send a Notice and then my mother in law and husband will appeal? Thanks
  4. I found out the interview date on August 22nd. My wife recieved the packet 4 last week. I am glad that I called the NVC or we wouldn't have had much notice at all. Yes, it is. When did you call? Did you call everyday? Thanks, Joe Did you just find this out today? Joe
  5. Ahh, yes it is a I 130. That makes a lot of sense. Thank you for clearing the confusion for me, . Spence
  6. I tried to be patient. I would call about once a week.
  7. Great to know, thank you. I will get on the ball. ACH & ACS for American citizens only. Be sure to make an appointment via online if you go to ACS, you'll be glad you did. http://guangzhou.usembassy-china.org.cn/service.html
  8. My wife and I are doing the CR1. I called the NVC and they kept telling me that the paperwork was in customs, and then I called and they had a interview date for September 21. I think it is a good idea to call them and keep checking. Good luck. Maybe we will see you in Guangzhou, Spencer
  9. Hi group. I am grateful for everyones help. I had a couple more questions. My wife will have her interview on September 21. We still haven't recieved packet 3 or packet 4. I called the NVC and they said they sent out packet 4 on August 14. It this normal to take this long and will packet 4 come before paacket 3? I was also wondering if Jing can accompany me to the Citizens hour meeting? Thanks for you hep, Spencer
  10. I looked again and it says approval notice. I will try to scan it and put it in here if I can figure out how, he he.
  11. Thank you everyone for your advice. I looked again at the reciept. It states that it is a notice of action. It also reads: The above petition has been approved. I don't know if that helps clarify what it is. I am very glad for the advice on sending in the I 129f. If I wait until she is here, can I then apply for a social security card for her? Thanks again for your help and advice. Spence and Jing
  12. Hi, I am a little confused. I sent in the I 130, and I just got the I 797 back. The instructions are to wait for the NVC to respond to Jing in China. If she doesn't here anything in the next 90 days, then I am to call. I thought I needed to send in the 797 and the 129f next. I am a little confused. What do I need to do?
