  1. I've written before about the rep company that represents us in Japan. The man married the daughter of the direct personal handmaid of the wife of the emperor. He took his wife's family name. Supposedly it is a big deal over there. He told me about seeing Japanese pilots landing in their back yard when he was 5 during the war. He told me how China belongs to Japan and I could tell it burned fervent in his heart he really believes this, and I can tell he resents the USA. I was never invited back on the next Asian biz trip. You had to be there to witness his true to the core feeling that China belongs to Japan. He is still alive and representing us.
  2. Zheese, Doug! Why not just buy her a burqa? Just in a hurry at the time and slapped the blocks on in power point. I should have shown some other words interesting for those who are going through this later, but eh, it is OK.
  3. Alright just to finish off the pics and this thread FOREVER The visas are IR1 & IR2 so 10 year Green Cards, well thats a good thing. We applied for CR1/CR2 but now married over 2 years, so automatic IR1/IR2. The visa is only good until April 26, when the medical expires, so the plane needs to work & weather cooperate. And some words there about temp I-551 and temp Permanent Resident for one year. The medical packets are sealed in plastic. https://youtu.be/ilzFHM4_0dk
  4. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA HOOOOOOOOOOOO http://www.chinafamilyvisa.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/toot.gif I should have waited. Now I feel good. It is in her hands. OK, no need to comment. Now I really feel like celebrating, whether Roger is alive, Putin is dancing, Jihad is happening while we build war machines with open borders etc etc. You don't need to comment. But I feel like dancing, Roger or not. Heck I'll even dance with him. Kiss him. Dance with Putin, but no kiss.... Throw Dennis a party. Buy lunch for Randy and Bucky Bob, or even Bobby in Plano or incredible etable crdzbla or whatever you call him. NUWORLD I never understood. But put a stick of dynamite under the reverands VW dune buggies. Steal Larry's Mustang. But I will leave Carl's guitar alone, and Chillin needs his band. I don't want to mess with Tsapper or I may get Tzapped. And Mick may have inflatable underwear or something...so BEWARE... whatever... http://i60.tinypic.com/1443nl.jpg The medical packets are sealed in plastic. 5. Doug, I know every case is different but ours took 8 days from issued to in hand. Happy days are coming soon buddy!! Mike We have been married over 2 years now. Did I read somewhere that someone got their approval pulled back and changed to an IR-1/Ir-2? Does that mean a 10 year green card? I really don't want the delay, suffering with the conditional 2 year GC is just fine. Make sure she has her marriage certificate with her to show them at the POE. Oh? Like a white book of it, or just show the red book? Leave them a white book?
  6. Thanks again everyone! Doug, I know every case is different but ours took 8 days from issued to in hand. Happy days are coming soon buddy!! Mike We have been married over 2 years now. 7. I can't find the thread where I read that the USA will give out 1-2 year visitor visas for the first visit, and then later the 10 year. 2 of my wife's friends decided to visit America now, hearing it was so much easier. They got the 10 year visa first time. They will visit here and go home before wife ever arrives. Anyway, it is working, and working well it sounds like.
  8. I don't know a thing about DCF, but I would just print them on paper, or lay them out on a copy machine and print them on regular paper. Take the originals to the interview in a book small enough to pass through the little opening in the winder, like at a bank. Of course maybe you got another set for them and you don't care.
  9. This is all of what I have been thinking from my visits there. Vacancies, yet many tall buildings going up.
  10. Thanks all. I really appreciate all of you as friends. I think by today our brains are coming back on line. We have been a little numb. We just did not let our thoughts get focused on the WHEN the visa will arrive. Will let Yall know of any plans later. Thanks again.
  11. Hang in there, and get your wife to take Tsappers words to heart. Have faith, and get a good nights sleep. You in an unusual situation and you will make it work. Can't change the past. Love each other and relax. Tsap has it right.
  12. Yea she sure has to perform a lot of labor to keep her visa.
  13. Well, I never understood, because the police are mentioned, and so are her parents, establishing the relationship. Now days you do not have to go to your home town for a police report, so why a birth cert from your home town? This first Birth Certificate was legal in China and NEEDED to fulfill the documentation needed in games, as a coach. No Randy we were never asked, nor did we consider, DNA testing.
  14. I was really hoping that she would be home for the summer with me, but seems unlikely now. Fen & I hated it, but we both have disciplined ourselves well. Even the strong feelings, lately, that the visa was immanent got pushed down. That is why the past 2 days we have been a bit numb and lost now that it is approved. We really geared our life to Skype and my visits every 2-3 months. I owe vacation time to my boss, even tough I asked for furloughs. We had to avoid certain subjects, for her sake, so she could sleep at night. I had to turn away from news, so I would not get angry at the delays in processing time because of the dream kids taking away USCIS staff. We both had to not let ourselves think too much about when we would get the visas. We had alternative plans if we never got a visa. We were going to be together. If I may say: Look, your interview was approved. You're in the home stretch. You have accomplished approval in the most difficult part, the interview. So relax. You're going to get the visa. Do some special things now to make life easier for her when she arrives. Think good thoughts when depression hits. If you can't then curl up like a ball and sleep it off.
  15. Alright I guess I see the problem. Her original is all she had or ever used in China for years, but it is from the city she lives in. Of course it gives the same info, but not from her birth province or city. Maybe that is why not good enough for GUZ.. http://i59.tinypic.com/70ge8j.jpg http://i57.tinypic.com/mmu5qq.jpg http://i60.tinypic.com/2ikfbe9.jpg http://i62.tinypic.com/eld6xt.jpg
  16. That link of Randy's is goooood stuff. We modified our letter of explanation and her resume because of it. November 19, 2014 to March 12, 2015 was the time we were in Administrative Processing. (About 4 months for us, but the sooner you give them what they want, the sooner the clock starts ticking. So maybe 3-3.5 months once you send in everything they ask for. Yes some people are less and some more, like 6 months and the unusual year or two, but that is rare.)
  17. OK, to start winding this thing down. We submitted yet another birth certificate for my wife, per instructions in post #18, and the visa was immediately issued. The old birth paper had more details and a red seal, but they wanted something else with a red seal, so my wife got it, and here is the page from the latest white book birth cert: Screen showing issued: And the Dashboard:
  18. OK, I think I promised to post the new birth cert she got. It is more simple than the first one we had a white book for. Here is the page from the white book of the latest birth certificate. I don't know what they were bugging us for, but it worked this time, as the visa was immediately issued when they got it. http://i61.tinypic.com/15xmg7p.jpg
  19. I printed this, and I think I signed and dated each additional page. Can't remember if required or not, but pretty sure that is what I did. Anyway this kind of WORD format worked for me on I-130. http://i62.tinypic.com/2eciv00.jpg
  20. My wife, Fen, and I have been feeling for some time that the visa was going to come soon, but we just fought that feeling back down. I had imagined some days ago that I would put a big Yaaaa Hooo in the title, to my own dang self... But, I just feel very humbled, grateful, thankful, & quiet. Just a strong reassurance of what we have been feeling. Thanks to Randy W & Jiaying for the letter of recommend and other help. Thanks to Dennis and Leiquin for a wonderful dinner and a kick in the pance when I was a complete mess. http://www.chinafamilyvisa.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.png Bucky Bob for the phone calls and direction on getting USCIS on the phone, & etc. Thanks to all of you for being a friend, and giving advice, both personal and on the visa. Too many of you to name, but all of you consider this as a thanks, please. Well, and I apologize, for sort of going nuts the past few days. http://www.chinafamilyvisa.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.png I chose to give up Cheetos some time back, http://www.chinafamilyvisa.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/mellow.png so.... it was getting kind of crazy. http://www.chinafamilyvisa.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/dash2.gif I really don't feel below right now, but I have been feeling this before the real deal hit me a little while ago. So, post mortum or something Fen woke up very early and was missing me and called, unusual. We were just talking about how we both will go to crazy once we have the visa. So, I looked up below, did a double take, and announced it. We both were yelling and she looked as happy as the day we married. We began telling our friends/family. http://i62.tinypic.com/2cnglkw.jpg YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO http://www.chinafamilyvisa.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/toot.gif http://www.picgifs.com/graphics/s/snoopy/graphics-snoopy-360370.gif
  21. Oh good, a scan of a DCF cover page. See it is dif than us State Side submitters. Good.
  22. My wife just got a new birth certificate, then the white book. She said the translator said she, the translator, must keep the original. So my wife did not get the original back. Ticks me off, but hey? It's Chinatown. We will see...
