  1. I can guess.............hahaha! By the way Larry, is he available? Yeah, hook Doug up with sis. Dennis I appologize from the bottom of my heart, and top too , for anything I said or did to wish this on me.
  2. It is ironic. Her parents bought a new house, remodeled it and lived in it the past 2 years. The builder sold the same house a 2nd time at a higher price later to another man. Later they offered the man another house and he refused. This man wants 60K RMB because he says his wife got cancer over this situation. Now the man busted the door down, repalced the door with one that is much stronger and changed the locks, moved in keeping all their belongings. The police do not want to get invloved. So Ba Ba wants me to get USA Govt to try to help (haha), because they have no local authority that will engage and no court to hear the matter. So the builder will come to try to resolve and her paerents are to the point of ust letting this go and stop all the worry. Chinese settle things without the law and seldom get involved in Government. In American they need to get involved. Ironic because I was thinking of moving to Dallas and running for office again. I am sure she will think Government is none of my business, as she always says. Anyway back on subject, folks train your spouse best you can, with explanations because a lot of them are getting arrested around here it seems, and hope they are not so smart they do dumb things like my ex. Even her daughter has to look out for her often to train her.
  3. Hey guys, Just to let you be aware, my ex, got herself arrested Sunday Presidents Day weekend (2-19-12). She bought a bunch of clothes a few weeks before, but then her Chinese cashier friend, in another branch of Macy's, said she could return them and rebuy at a lower price - we have phone records of that morning. So, she took them up to the 2nd floor, where her friend worked, and was told it does not look good if I refund and resale and sent her downstairs for the refund. Well the shoe department was next to the escalator going back up, after she got the refund. Since she has been looking for boots up to her knees for a few years now, she bought 3 pair. They are in huge boxes each. She can't carry all she has now, and didn't want to lug it upstairs, or leave the unpaid for clothes she just got a refund on because they were the last of those items and the store was full of women shopping = she didn't want to lose them, SO, she decides to take the paid for boots to the car and then return to pay for the refunded items she had in hand. Got arrested at the door, and jailed overnight. I got the call from child protective services, about 10:PM that night, to get her 11 year old daughter, and did. Got ex out of jail that Monday. They had credit card pay method, and she paid herself, so all the cash I had was of no use - good for me. She called me 3 times that morning trying to get me to shop with her. We are divorced so I just simply didn't. After 2 weeks of worry and looking we found a Chinese lady lawyer in Plano. She is sharp and to the point, like my ex. So this is a relief as we had loads of trouble with American lawyers who never defended a foreigner. The assistant told me that in Plano, TX, which has a huge Asian population, they get dumb stuff like this all the time with Asians. Put something in pocket and forget to pay. Get a phone call of emergency, get rattled, run out the door, and forget to pay. I asked if Collin County ever understands and negotiates something before charged. She shook her head no. The problem is only one DA processor and no time to negotiate before getting charged. I bet 1/3 to 1/2 the population of Plano is Asian. Everybody I see in Government so far seems to be white. My ex used to chew my ass because I was on a city council once. Chinese don't get involved in government, but in my STONG opinion they need to run for office and often, and make changes to the law or DA office as needed to help when stupid things like this happen. I know my ex. I know her well. I know how she is like a blind dog in a meat locker when it comes to shopping, and doesn't know which way to turn. I know the logic of her telling her cashier friend that she will return a 2nd bag she walked in with to the car, she bought at another Macy's that morning, meant to her that the store was informed that she was waliing out the door with the unpaid items too. (stupid) I know she would never intentionally steal anything. This really burns me up, because the one option Collin County has is admitting guilt to the DA (not the court) and taking anti-theft classes, and 30 hours of community service and probation for a year or two, then getting record expunged. This is the only way to keep her clean record, which she needs for working at a bank! I am pissed! (Or go to trial which maybe will be an option depending on their evidence and witnesses and hers) what a mess, but not my problem really. PS: Macy's asked her to explain then would not listen. They seem to have the worst reputation for just arresting and then call the police, so several lawyers told me. They will not call family, just the police. They have a security dude at all stores with cuffs. I know she is innocent and I was embarrassed that here she marched at risk of her life for personal freedoms in 1989 as a student, She moved to Beijing because she felt it was the most honest city in China where she could get a job and promotions without paying the corruption money or dinners, and without joining the CCP. Now she must admit guilt when innocent of any intent. Now she is stubborn, and I suspect many of your spouses are stubborn. I wanted to name this thread immature and stupid, but..... I hate the fact that she seldom listened to my explanations of anything. "Because" is like a forbidden word from me. She only wants to learn black and white and then remember like they learn in school I guess. No explanations. No reasoning. Thus I have called Chinese immature in another thread. Fellas, you need to get through to your wife if she is like this. Now her application of citizenship will have to wait 5 years. She was going to adopt her niece. Then there is the job to worry about now. Consequences can be hell if they learn the hard way and not listen to you.
  4. Well, if he did marry a Chinese you KNOW what would happen don't you? Hahahaha ................
  5. I had to just guess on about 5 of them, or eleminate and guess best I could. http://i41.tinypic.com/i5816w.jpg
  6. I had to take both divorce decrees, with the state seal on them showing they were on file in what ever court, to the USA Beijing Embassy and get a certification of being single, along with her peperwork, and take it to the marriage registration office run by chinese in order to get married in China. Actually your get registered and that is it. No cerimony and no questions, they just give you your books and that is ti. Or you can get those certified through your state, stateside. I think you both have to apear at embassy. Been a long time but there are websites explaining.
  7. OK I don't date or get serious at all, so I am JUST FRIENDS with a few Chinese ladies. They want a husband of course. These are good ones. These are the best out of over a couple of hundred. 45 yr old high school english teacher in Xi'an. So her age is reasonable and of course she looks younger I think. She must be the kindest woman I ever met. Comfortable looking and smiles a lot. Has a most even temper, if any temper at all. I doubt she has ever given anyone a whippin. Seems all the men she meets on line are scammers or just there and want no commitment so she has nothing to do with them. She can see right through the scam letters. Her written english is good as well as spoken but she needs you to just talk slow. A virtuos woman. Her son is in last year of high school. She has been divorced for a long time. I believe she would be a most excellent wife. She also knows a 39 year old sensitive lady that is good also. 26 maybe 27 now, from China but now a Swedish citizen. Never married but burned by Chinese arestocracy and another idiot. She wants someone closer to her age. I am the age of her father so no good. She is tallish and slim. She is a farm girl but speaks and hears english fluent IMO. You could just jabber with her all day and night. She also knows Swedish. Smart girl. No visa issues so easy to visit or bring her over. Very very sincere woman with tender heart. Very big smile. Good conversationalist. Is a professional acupuncture and message with NO FUNNY BUSINESS. 27 never married, speaks good english as well. Slim and very young looking. Wants closer to her age, meaning not in their 50s. Lives in Shenzen and is international sales at an electrical company where she started as an engineer, though no degree. Again came from poorer family so she is down to earth and does not have the airs of those with a college education. All 3 are just good people. I know another with a good heart and would be loyal. 32 yrs. Very big smile with dimples. PS: I can recomend a lady in her 40s in Kansas city as well. Nice lady an dnice looking. Her english may not be the best but reasonable and in the states. a few others in the states were good too. Hey I've done the screening. Of course dennis has a whole list and probbaly wouldn't miss anyone from his harem.
  8. Good timing with all the jockying going over there now.
  9. How is it going Carl? a little funny: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xCFXeChXfcI
  10. I'm not a drinking man but David, dang man... Of all people who explained so many cultural things over the years......... you surprise me. But being the dumbasses that us men are..........a toast to you.
  11. Yep I advised my ex to sit on her money here in the USA. She wanted to send it home. She finally agreed.
  12. Before divorced my wife sold her apt/house at a dang good price. She left the cash their for a couple of years then brought it all over to buy a big 2 story in Plano. I didn't bother with the tax thing.
  13. Yes to the best! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
  14. It is so fun to play with the kids that way. Lil One was a blast but she learned all the expressions from reading. She reads more than any one person I ever met. Now she is frustrated with teaching her Mom who does not have a clue. Now I communicate with an english teacher in Xi'an these days. I made it clear we are just friends and she accepts it. So I poke fun at her all the time as she is the teacher and should teach me. But basically I throw out words and expressions we actually use here and make fun of her about how can her boys, all boys highschool, ever know how to talk once they get here? She takes it all in stride and laughs and punches back at me, verbally. Anyway it is interesting about how to explain expressions and words and phrases we use every day. Blows her mind actually, so we have fun.
  15. I guess I can't add to this much, but I use Skype a lot, not only to China but to other countries and to my son down in Grenada. I call cell phones in China. The quality seems much better than 6 years ago, especially if I call their phone. Skype: Still some trouble computer to computer, but still way better than 2005 thru 2007. cam/voice/text/documents all at the same time.....great. Pin City I have a lot of money there trying to burn off. Again I think the quality is better and more numbers from cities in china to call back to me as needed. Of course PC to PC I sometimes use Yahoo Messenger. Like skyp you can cam/voice/write all at the same time. It helps since even the best ladies still have some trouble with all our english. And transmit the documents my son sends and pics and etc.
  16. WoW I looked at his Bio. Just not sure if I heard of him before or not.
  17. 2 posts would have been right, maybe. Heck with my depraved mind, I thought this was a thread similar to what I wanted to post in another thread about the best way to learn english. I was going to say in bed, but I restrained myself. Platform bed?? Won't a platform bed do? I was lined up to get one several years ago when my then wife said no, because she did not like the country style. But as it turned out what we got was the hardest mattress I ever felt and the box springs had no springs, just a box - making it like basically a platform bed.
  18. North of DFW airport is a total disaster. The highway construction is really bad putting you off on one lane citiy streets at times. When you rent a car leave to the South entrace is my recomend. I think everything else is covered unless your looking for Chinese food then I would go to Plano. Tex-Mex is what is best around. Lot to choose from. If you go to Joe-Ts which I don't care for but eeryone else does, bring cash. It is the only way to pay. If you go to the stock yards, I used to take people to Cattlemens for a steak. Now we do a new place on the corner 3D something it is connected with the old hotel that has saddles for bar stools. Get the fried catfish as an appetiser. It is cut very thin and very good. Of course fried so maybe not to your liking. They have grilled corn and the cob too. The white elephant should have live music across the street. It sounds like you need a bit more modern than cowtown though...
