Only thing I know for sure is that there seems to be an absolute lack of order when issuing the visa pickup notices. We have been waiting over 6 months since interview. Yet some have received visas already who interviewed much later than us. There is even a report on this forum of a person having an interview and receiving visa in same day this month. You are still early in the process. If they told you to wait 2 months, then don't worry for a couple months. But do keep track of your timeline, including all correspondence and replies to that correspondence. You may need the record later on. Keep track of whom you call or write, when, and the responses. We are interviewed August, still waiting on EMS.

2 out of 33 and no visa in hand really sucks! I don't remember if I posted on Feb. 14 thread, but (K-1) still no pickup notice from GZ and no definite word of clearance.

got through yesterday after 34 minutes. No disconnects. Impolite lady told me "still pending."

I do the same thing, Dave. It has resulted in many letters. But I think it probably works better than duct tape in a bio storm.

We are also resub on Jan 4. We just keep hoping. I am going to try and rattle some cages Wednesday. It is nice that some are getting notices and visas, but I have been patient for the last 2 weeks. Time to get back to task now.

Congratulations Ski, Finally you will have your honey to keep you warm on those long lift rides. Skiing also a great passion of mine. I love skiing the Colorado Rockies, but Utah is closer to me now. And of course on work nights, there is always the slopes outside Las Vegas. My fiancee is eager to learn, but looks like I have to hope for next season now. Many locals here recommend me to Chapel of the West on the south end of the strip near Mandalay Bay. You might want to check it out if you haven't any specific plans yet. Sometimes I think there is more info on this forum than at the DOS 1225 info line.

I got same reply, probably from same lady. We know they are not going to give us any real information, but let's keep calling this number just let our presence be known. I like to call these phone calls to useless info lines my , "visa votes."

If you really want a response, you can call the DOS info line and get a "still pending" response if it will make you feel better

That's about right. My status should be: "Probably cleared and sitting in a pile in GZ somewhere, but really don't have a clue."

That's ok, Texan, keep us posted. When you go to GZ we can resurrect this. But here's hoping that by the time you do go, we will all have visas, and the only thing you will have to say to GZ is, "Good-bye."

markimwaiting was the group's most proactive, loudest, most consistent, activist. They finally gave him his visa and shut him up. I learned something from that, and became proactive from that point on.

Right. Get this fixed. Good thing that they told you about this now, instead of you waiting and waiting and wondering why no clearance. DOS was confused enough already. ( I'm searching desparately these days to find humor).
