Whoever is going to GZ, for their interview on 11/21/05, it looks like we will all be in GZ, for a few days, we should try to plan a get together, or two.. Where are people going to be staying?? Anyone interested??
I am a bit out of touch, but exactly what is the procedure for picking up your visa after you have been approved??? It used to be available the next day, but I heard this has all changed..
Unbelievable, before you could get a response from GZ, within a week by e-mail. Now we have to use a credit card and pay additional money for something that should be free!!!! Only in America!!
Hello everyone, I am a long time member but have been out of the loop recently. Looking for a little help. Where can I get a copy of the DS-230 part II?? Can I download it from somewhere? I did not find it on uscis.gov. Will be going to GZ next month, anyone going to be around?? Are they still giving the visas out the day after the interview?? What exactly do I need to bring besides the medical exam and x-rays, DS-230 part two and my three most recent tax returns.
Hi I am looking for information on SSN in Phoenix. For one how long should it take for someone who came to the US on Spousal visa. My wife will be visiting her friend there this week. Anyone in this area please contact me. Thanks
The K-1 Visa is a one time only, single entry Visa. After you get married and when you apply for the AOS then you should also apply for an AP (advance parole) multiple entry document. This is the only way a husband or wife can travel to China and get back in the USA legally.
Most any hotel you stay at in HK can get you a visa overnight for a reasonable fee. The train ride from HK to GZ, is about one hour and 45 minutes. Buy the 1st class ticket, it is pretty cheap and you will enjoy it more. PS stay in Kowloon, and you will be closer to the train to GZ!!
I went to United, bought the ticket (one way) here in the good old USA. Flew back to the USA. no problems here or getting out of Shanghai!!! Best of luck!!
I agree, If you can read and write you do not need a Lawyer. It is a pretty easy process, although at first it does not seem so. Save your money, DIY!!!
Since you are just starting and plan on going back in April of - 05, have a great time. You should probably try to plan on being with your wife when she goes to GZ for the infamous interview. This will help her to be a bit more relaxed knowing you will be with her. Since you have a year to plan this is the best way to go expecially if you are concerned about her English. Welcome to CFL, you will learn a lot from all the people that have gone or are going through this process. When dealing with our wonderful government keep one thing in mind, if something can go wrong it usually will. However, when all is said and done it will be well worth it. Good luck and don't be afraid to ask any questions!!
Everyones situation is different. But if you can it never hurts to be there and to give your wife your passport when she goes into the interview. Then be sure she lays it on the table to let them know you are outside. If you can go do so and have a great time. Good luck
