  1. Many years ago when Vince Lombardi, was a very successful coach, he was asked how he picked a quaterback. He stated after many years of coaching, he often would tell his players to run through a brick wall. The one who walked around the wall would be his quaterback. Most of these Immigration Lawyers seem to be running into that wall, and are not intelligent enough to do the basic paperwork for the types of visa's people from CFL are looking for. It is pretty easy to do all this paperwork, if you just take your time and read carefully!!
  2. Apparently it will be a very merry christmas this year!!! Not to mention the bonus of claiming her on your taxes!!! HAVE A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS, AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
  3. I Can't believe you were never asked for a Birth Certificate during your original application.
  4. Congratulations and best of luck. Nice short, successful, interviews is what everyone wants!!! So when will you be coming to the US??
  5. SF for a POE is pretty simple. Just occassionaly long lines, good luck and congratulations!!
  6. No I came through SF, 2/4/03, no problems just took about two hours because three international flights came in at the same time. Once we got to the window, it only took about three minutes. Relatively painless!!
  7. This was originally posted by me almost two years ago. I believe it is still appropriate, good luck to everyone still in the process.. 10)-This is probably the only way you will ever get to see your fiancé/Bride again!! 9)-You are guaranteed to be with her at the POE, where you know there will be a problem 8)-Someone has to carry all that luggage, might as well be you 7)-So you can also bring an extra suitcase or two, or three 6)-You want to be sure she actually gets on the plane going to the US!!! 5)-She/he will also probably be able to keep you sober on this long trip home 4)-You want to be sure she eats some of the excellent cuisine the airlines will be serving 3)-Hey, you may need someone to get you a drink, when the flight attendants are busy with Some other drunk passengers 2)-To get away from the US-BCIS & DOS for a while And the number #1 reason you should fly back from China, with your fiancé/Bride is..... This will be the best way to start the rest of your lives together, guaranteed
  8. Read carefully boys, many got blue slips, which I believe means they want more information. These are not rejections, maybe the women were not as prepared as they should have been. As far as favorite movies and songs, if you were to just make them up but do it quickly and act like you really know them there should be no problems. Anyway congratulations, in a few more hours you will be at the airport. Good luck with the rest of your lives!!
  9. Congratulations, what am appropriate day to be re-united with your family. This will truly be a day to be THANKFUL!!! Good luck and best wishes to you and your new family.. Just remember, you will need a lot of patience the first few weeks. Have a grerat holiday season this year, and every year in the future!!
  10. From HK to GZ, it is only about a 90 minute train ride. Only about $20 US for the train. Good luck and have a great time!!!
  11. These e-mails have been around for a few years. Anyone who would give any of their private informations, bank accounts, SSN. ETC, gets what they deserve. However, it seems if they send it out to thousands of people you are going to get some people who will fall for it.
  12. Welcome to CFL, I have pm'd you. Hopefully we can talk sometime in the next week or two.
  13. PJ, you can file the AOS with copies however, when you go to the interview you have to bring original documents. So it is just better to file with original documents, just to be safe.. Good luck!!
  14. Just remember whether she wants to become a citizen or not, you have to file the AOS in the required time if you want to keep everything legal. You should also apply for the EAD even if she does not plan on working, she will need that also as another form of ID.. Anyway best of luck and congratulations!!!
  15. Congratulations!!!! Can not wait to hear how they like those WI winters!!!. Best of luck to you and yours. You may want to think about a three bedroom for the extra room you are going to need,,,
  16. Have a great reunion, and tell us everything when you have some time!!! Interview should be a snap. You should be overprepared!!
  17. Welcome to candle, best of luck.. Don't forget about all those wonderful women from SHANGHAI!!!!!!!!!!! Going back to the begining of candle, there must be at least 35% of these women from Shanghai, that have met and married all those lucky guys!!
  18. For the AOS interview they don't ask for copies. You probably gave them copies of everything when you filed. When you go to the AOS interview, you have to bring original documents of any copies you may have given them. USCIS does not allow family members to be translators. Good Luck!!!!
  19. Have you filed your AOS yet? She will never get a green card until this is filed, and you need to do this together!! EAD is only good for 90 days or one year. AP is only good for one time, unless you requested multiple entries. Sory to hear about your situation.
  20. Have a great time in BJ. Was there Labor Day 2002. Can not remember then name but there is a very old and famous restaurant that is world reknown for the Peking Duck. Should not be to hard to find. Try to get there. I am sending a link to check out some hotels. Don't know what your price range is but this is a great site and I have booked through them several times. Never had any problems, one (1) star to five (5) star hotels are listed. Try to get to the old city in BJ. Have a great time... www.asia-hotels.com
  21. By US law every US Consulate and Embassy in the world has to respond to a Congressional Inquiry within 48 hours. All Embassies and Consulates keep excellent records of inquiries and the results. Congressman/woman get more results then any Senator. On 6/27/02, I received an e-mail from GZ stating thay had not even received my file/paperwork and did not know when we would get our P-3. On 7/1/02, GZ received a Congressional Inquiry on my behalf. On 7/5/02, I received a letter saying my file had been received, processed, and our P-3 was sent out on 6/28/02. You do the math on 6/27/02, they e-mailed me and said they did not even have my file. On 7/1/02, they got the CI. So then from not even having my file they got it, processed it, and sent it out in one day, I think not. Lord only knows where my file was sitting, nor how long it may have sat there with out the CI - I requested. So CI can indeed be very helpful, just pick the right time to do it so it will be most effective... Good luck everyone!!
