  1. Can someone tell me the name of this form? IS there a form called an 8801?
  2. Maybe I'm missing something here, but if someone is residing abroad, then it seems to me that should be the address they should use on their entire petition instead of some address back in teh states. An adjudicator is going to see the passport stamps and realize that this person is still in China. Seems that could raise some questions. Just file for a change of address after you move back to the States. Am I missing something? Why would you not put the place where you currently "reside."!?!?
  3. Okay - Question. Do I need to provide any supporting documentation or do anything whatsoever if my fiancee has previously visited the states? Thanks. Someday I'll actually contribute something.
  4. Is there anything that can be done if the ex refuses to consent to the K2 visa? My fiancee has custody, but he is refusing to consent and sign anything. Any thoughts?
  5. More questions What's quicker? K1 or K3 visa? Bags
  6. Here is another question. Hopefully I'll have some answers someday. If my fiancee gets her fiancee visa can I go and get married in China and have a ceremony, then, can we come to the U.S. and get married to make it official? Bags
  7. Thanks for everyone's input!! Can you please tell me where you found that you need a g-325a for ages 14 and older? I can't find that info anywhere.
  8. Okay. So, there is a split. Some say you only put the children on the I-129f and others say you need to fill out a 325a for each child. I hope someone can answer this question whether to send in a 325a for each child and a picture. At some point, and maybe it's at the embassy phase, the kids have to be documented as to who they are - otherwise anyone could bring any kid over. I'm eagerly looking forward to someone's response. In any event, if I understand correctly, just one 165 dollar fee. Bags
  9. Hi, Can someone please give me a little info or your opinion? My fiance has two children from a previous marriage. The ex is living in Australia. 1) Do I have to file a separate petition for the kids or do I just include everyone on the I-129f? (2) do I need to fill out a g-325a for the each kid? (3) What do we need from the ex husband? (4) do we need to pay the 165 dollar filing fee for each one (fiance, and the two kids)? (5) Do we need to attach/provide passport pictures of the children with the initial fiancee petition? Gee - this started out with one question - sorry to burden the board. Lots of questions........hope someone can help. Bags
  10. Okay. That makes sense. They do the work - you sign the form. Cool. Well I'm going to check out the three firms mentioned - for those that are in my shoes, and don't want to go thru all the posts - thus far the following have been suggested: www.fianceevisas.com http://www.hervisa.com and http://www.hamptonvisas.com Thanks again for all the great input. Btw.....someone mentioned the better business bureau in relationship to one of these stating that they were invited to join- word to the wise - you have to apply to the BBB. Just doing what I can to keep everything on the straight and narrow.
  11. So, let me get this straight - you don't have to sign anything? the attorney does it all thru the power of attorney? I already like the sound of it........ -g-
  12. Two questions - What is the reasoning for turning down k3 visas? The only reason is because their is a paperwork problem, and, from what I understand, all embassies will turn down a visa if the paperwork isnt in order. Of course, some probably more than others. Anyway, what is this Power Of Attorney Form you are talking about?
  13. Can anyone recommend an immigration attorney for a fiancee visa? Thanks!!!
